- I see a lot of guitar players playing through BF and SF Dual Showmans and Bassmans, but they seem like a logical choice for bass players.
I acquired this 'single' Showman on a recent visit to Iowa and fell in love with it. The original Showman amps were paired with either a single 15" JBL or single 12" JBL with a patented tone ring mounting (the Dual Showmans came in 2x12 cabs, hence 'dual'). The single 12" version was discontinued due to lack of popularity.
I however acquired my 29lb Bergantino NXV112 two years ago and have been loving its depth and tight response and seems tailor made for pairing with this head.
