- Johnny Depp was answering question on cross examination in his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard when he was asked about a photo showing him passed out on a couch. Depp explained that Heard knew that after working 17 hours and taking his prescribed opiates that he would quickly fall asleep and set it up to make him look bad.

My husband works some very long days, and has actually fallen asleep and had his face fall into his mashed potatoes, more than once. My point is Amber is disgusting, setting up Johnny to look bad. I think Johnny is lucky that he got away and is still living to tell about it.
It doesn't really matter now what the jury thinks, because the public, for the most part, believe and love Johnny and want him back 'in the pictures'.
A real and loving woman would appreciate the hard work and long hours.

Imagine trying to have another honest and trusting relationship after the last psycho recorded everything and anything that could potentially be misconstrued to make you look bad. Literally the only thing she has recorded is him intoxicated. No sound proof or pictures proof of him beating her…..The fact that she sat there and recorded everythinggggg especially vulnerable moments . I can’t imagine the psychological damage this whole trial will cause on him after this even more than what he deals with now.

As someone that suffered domestic abuse while married to my Children’s father and grew up in a home of domestic abuse having police there at least a couple of times a week. I sure as heck didn’t behave the way she is. Her actions do not coincide with that of an abuse victim.

She thought she was marrying this Hollywood Prince, and then she saw him blacking out, vomiting, not being the man she married, etc., and realized her reality with him wasn’t what she dreamed it would be.
My husband went through a period of intense nighttime activity - talking in his sleep, punching and kicking adversaries in his dreams. Sometimes I would wake up from him accidentally kicking or punching me. A few times I tried to catch it on camera to show him …. it was never as intense as the times I wasn’t prepared with my camera.
He would remember the dream of being in his old street gang and fighting, but he had no idea that he was punching or kicking me in his sleep.
In my mind, Amber experienced worse moments with him when she wasn’t armed with her phone, and wanted to try to capture one of the intense moments …. but couldn’t.

Is she really that bad at lying or does she purposely lie in such a stupid way, to help him gain back all the sympathies from people all over the world and make herself some kind of twisted & hidden martyr? JD's previous women maybe were more compliant to his drug abuse. What I am pointing at: which spouse had more love for him? The woman that is "all okay" with his drug abuse or Amber who maybe purposefully tried to push him out of his comfort zone? I still think that her "methods" were "very harsh" but it seems that they could have "helped" him overcome his addiction.

I have Two Male Friends that have been beat up by their women and regularly. I am a big victim my self. Years until I moved away. He would have killed me. Glad I did not have any children. You have to remember this does happen to men also. Yes most of the time I would say it is the other way around. Because women at most have been the victims.

I used to like JD but now I love him!! To think of all the abuse he had in his life and to still be a kind and loving man is a miracle in itself. I pray this jury gets it right and gives him the justice he so deserves.
something tells me she knew it was about to end when he started distancing himself more and after he was so mentally broke down by her endless arguing that he wasn’t engaged in them, she felt the change and went paycho then started doing all this. no one takes this many random photos/recordings this vague and constant unless they have a sketchy motive… she would give him drugs anyways when she started to notice they wore off.

I thought that line of questioning was outrageous- he was photographed sleeping, not robbing a bank. Tired people fall asleep, it is perfectly normal. I agree this was an attempt to Gaslight Johnny and Jury into believing there is something in these photos when there is nothing. The photo's are, however, evidence that Amber was the abuser. They had been taken purely to humiliate Johnny, there is no other reason for their existence.

Because they start being blamed for LYING, making it all up, being dramatic , overthinking it and saying its their fault they got abused. Thats why most victims take years to speak about their abuse.
In this case if AH is lying ( imo she is) she is damaging the reputation of real abuse victims and just giving more ammo to the people who invalidate abuse victims.

1:18 This little scene says so much about JDs character. Asked whether AH had a positive influence on him, JD was going to answer (perhaps even positively) about AHs initial influence. The telling part is here 1:30. He instinctively apologizes to the judge after she tells him doesn't need to answer the question. The fact is that JD immediately stopped talking, then apologized, when someone else had something to say. This scene alone tells me he is not only incapable of bullying, but that he's also just too damn courteous to be the monster AH claims.
Well JD is a professional actor. I do not like AH or believe her, just playing devil's advocate.

I am pleased to notice that Johnny is very aware when being questioned of how the questions may lead him down a one way street and thus he ensures clarity in his replies. He really thinks hard about his answers before he makes them. Well done to him. This whole court case must be mentally draining for him it’s like playing chess with your life again an evil manipulative opponent. Having defence lawyers is one thing but at the end of the day you are left very alone in that witness box and that can’t be easy for him. Just hope he can get through this ordeal in one piece and wins the trial exposing the true face of Amber as a bitter twisted manipulative gold digger out to destroy him. Hope the jury can see that. Idk how it is with opiates as I've never did any substance except have a beer maybe 5x in my life, but personally experienced major domestic issues with a parent until he was clean. Perhaps something can be substituted in to wean off? I know when I want to get away from stress or whatever I'll play a video game or workout, which is what I'm about to do now. Anything to provide feeling good and accomplishment.
@@Roadsurfer2k11 it's not always possible to substitute something like opiates with a regular activity like exercise or video games because the opiates basically require your dopamine circuits to where you're only getting dopamine when you're taking this drug, it makes things that are pleasurable to a normal person feel like nothing to an addict

I am pretty sure she took all these recordings and pictures simply so she could blackmail Depp into a larger divorce settlement - and she did exactly that. Depp gave her more than he would have under the condition that neither of them spoke about their relationship. She likely intended to keep those tapes secret only as long as Depp did exactly what she demanded, and was always going to release them the second she thought she could no longer use them to manipulate Depp.

I find it very suspicious that Amber was recording Johnny and taking photos to make a twisted case about him.
I really feel she was trying to fix herself and what she had experienced as a child with her own parents and especially her father.
She clearly was trying to paint Johnny as a out of control drug and alcohol addict and he was a washed up actor, who was a wife abuser and poor father.
She was literally gaslighting Johnny to make him think he was losing his mind and he clearly was trying to escape from her by taking more of meds than he was prescribed.
I know he didn't say that but I know it's something people in hopelessly abusive relationships do to escape from the horrible reality they are living in with a damaged toxic narcissist like Amber.
I think she knew he was about to leave her ass. But also maybe to use to build her case to extort money off him

The worst thing is, Johnny is not on trial for abuse, drinking or drugs.

We can only pray & hope the jury see’s this. This cannot be over soon enough. I cannot speak for all of the victims of dv out there. I think it's safe to say that so many are re-living their own [real] trauma, and Ms. Heard is putting those out there through the pain all over again, tied with anger. When this began, we did not quite expect (or I assume we didn't) all of these shenanigans; from her. And, it does make it difficult to choose to continue watch, though now we're in, it is hard not to in light of supporting Mr. Depp.
Agreed. As someone who was on the receiving end of repeated physical assaults from an abuser with untreated borderline pd (like Amber), I can only watch this trial in small doses. The way she and her team are behaving is disgusting, on top of the abuse itself.

Take pictures and recordings that only support her narrative, make up injuries that dont make sense, pass off botox and fillers as a spousal abuse, do everything they can to aggravate their spouse and then secretly record them etc
When someone is genuinely concerned and truly wants to help another, they wouldn’t be secretly recording them or taking snapshots of them, especially when they’re in their most vulnerable moments. That’s low of any human being.
This is really pissing me off what her team is trying to do here. I have been on opiates for over 10years and anyone that has ever had to be on this kind of medication can testify that your body becomes dependent on it. So as JD said yes they can be taken to get high however he said he took them to feel normal. I've had to use those exact words to try and explain to others that needing the medication isn't a matter of wanting to party and get high but only to be normal without being hellaciously sick. Once you become dependent on them you have to have them just to go about your day to day activities like any other person. I'm sure there's plenty of people out there that has some one in their life that is dependent on those and would be surprised to find that out because they never appear to be high or intoxicated in any way. AH team is not so much trying to prove she didn't abuse him but making this trial about his substance use which has nothing whatsoever to do with anything. She has her drug issues and that isn't being brought up again and again.

That first audio didn’t even make sense. She basically claimed he threw up/ choked on vomit in he’s sleeping and he was completely unaware of that. I’d think after years of drugs and drinking (way before her) he would remember waking up to or choking on vomit when he was on his own or others would of told him. That was such a sick set up. This chick is just crazy crazy.

The photos that she took of him are ludicrous and the fact that the Lawyer was trying to make something out of them shows that they do not have a case. Not only do they show Johnny doing a perfectly normal thing but they expose Amber as the abuser. There is no question taking these photos was part of a cycle of abuse. An abuser will take and twist anything to try and humiliate and gaslight their victim.

He's an actor. It's less common today, but in past decades, many actors and actresses adopted different accents, either naturally or unnaturally. Christopher Plummer, a Canadian actor, was famous for using a standard, mid-Atlantic accent. John Barrowman of Torchwood also uses a mid-Atlantic accent even though he was born in Scotland and raised I believe in California. It's also his PTSD. He sounds very beaten down. Not just from Amber Heard, but also his mother. I think Johnny Depp only lived in Kentucky for a very short time before he was moved to Florida, and then elsewhere, so he's been all over the place. If you've ever seen any of his movies, the guy plays characters whose accents are all over the place. The first movie I ever saw him in was Don Juan De Marco. He had 2 different accents in that movie alone. I just watched an episode of 21 Jump Street, set in my hometown, and really the only difference I can detect is that he sounds exhausted now. Almost like he's ready to go to sleep. I'd be exhausted too if I'd been through all of this, assuming he's innocent. I've never considered myself a Johnny Depp "fan," but I do acknowledge the guy can act, and he's pretty versatile.

My spouse was addicted to opiates and would fall asleep standing up fully bent in half. I NEVER would have taken pictures of that even though at that time we definitely were NOT doing well.
