Thankyou JustPlanes, These pilots are getting younger and younger,and they can handle these planes with no problems at all,they just landed that plane so smooth. I have nothing but respect for all pilots,they do a great job,and keep us safe up there.
Agnes Mahon you dont want a pilot who is good when everything is going well, you want a pilot who is good and calm when they lose all thrust in both engines. ie pilot who landed in the Hudson.
Ha, younger and younger. World War 2 pilots were as young as 17-18 years old.
I think it's the PlayStation generation - we're just used to these sort of tasks from an earlier age. And is that a Dandie Dinmont in your picture ... my parents and grandparents are big enthusiasts in the UK!

When I fly I prefer the pilots to be around 50 years old, with that "I've done this for decades" look on their faces.
Go to Aerosim Flight Academy in FL and you'll be shocked most of the student pilots there are in their early '20s, my son is one of them.

Amazing landing. been watching lots of these videos , what I learned. Co-pilot is called first officer and they are usually the ones landing the aircraft. Very cool.

Can a flight instructor evaluate how skilled she is? Landing does not tell how good a pilot is. Although She should watch for that side stick overcontrol. Once airplane surprises her with an alternate law mode, she could end up doing an upset recovery..
I bet her family are really proud of her. Wonderful job.

Gosh, the way she handles that stick is beyond epic.
This looked like ideal conditions. I hope they do some filming with simulated emergencies, when conditions are very good. I;m sure Sabrina would do fine in bad conditions, but it would be even more compelling to watch.

You don't get to be a co-pilot without training for every emrgency under the sun that can go wrong with the equipment and weather situations, and more. You think Captain Sully and his co-pilot didn't train for a bird strike and all engines going out? They did.

Actually, I've spotted a bit of a 'risk' here. She's using Bose QC15 noise cancelling Headphones. These headphones use a battery and if the battery fails the headphones STOP working. The new model (QC25) don't have the same problem. I'm not a pilot, but if an emergency happened this might be a problem?
I would think u can carry a spare battery and if not u just turn your speaker on in the cockpit and you can hear everything that way 😜👍
pjcoop not true. I have a pair. They work as normal headphones when the batt dies.
This is not a QC15, do you see the big micro in front of her mouth ? ...The guy who thinks pilot fly with a regular headphone... like Beats !
Worth considering but running out of battery doesn't mean going deaf...
good point as I am sure the FAR would speak to a backup system available however unless there is some sort of sidetone, the user might not know of the lost communications for a while.

Not to be disrespectful, but there isn't a lot of brains in flying a plane. You can get that kind of "brains" in an 1 hour PC flight simulator session.
There is a tendency for the public to see pilots as way more then they are actually.

What does hours practicing and landing being the most difficult part have to do with this comment thread anyway? Have you seen the original poster and my reply?
I fly "real" planes and I fly "simulated" planes - the "brains" necessary to fly a simulated plane in the same manner as a real plane is exactly 100% the same nowadays - this ain't the 80s anymore.
There are even commercial consumer grade simulators that accurately perform that, let alone the manufacturer approved pilot training simulators.
@Jose Carreras You have not a clue of what it takes to land a REAL plane with hundreds of lives at stake. I would fly anywhere, anytime with her, I would not trust you to fly a kite... go back to your sim and let the professionals fly the airliners! 😂😂😂

that side stick had me interested, she made loads of corrections but the aircraft didn't seem to respond much, is it used to make small corrections and isn't very sensitive?

Frederik, Your statement implies improper handling of the controls, so how is this a good landing? Is your statement based upon that old pilot cliche about any landing you can walk away from...etc? To what degree is she handling of the controls excessive as you imply? I'm trying to understand as a layman, not trying to bust nuts or anything like that. Is the excessive input potentially dangerous, and if so what then makes this a good landing? Thanks.

Why don't they ever include the names of male pilots in their titles? It's probably well-intentioned but they're basically saying "ooh look there's a pretty woman flying a big plane, and she's really good at it too! Isn't it wonderful that a woman is doing such a complex job?", as if the fact that she's a woman would ordinarily mean she couldn't do it. It also doesn't help that you get every loser with an erection on the planet making comments like "phwoar I wouldn't mind sharing a cockpit with her".
Don't get me wrong I really like JustPlanes' videos and I think it's great that they're showcasing women in the industry, but objectifying them and inviting all the weirdo loners to salivate over them is probably not helping the cause.
