Lego Soccer/Football Mania PS2 Gameplay

- Due to the fact little footage of the PS2 version of this game exists on RUclips (only one video, to be exact!), I decided I'd make some footage and upload it. There's a good amount on the PC version, but not much for this version. To my knowledge, the only real difference is that you can have up to four players, whereas the PC version only supports two. This video is just me playing an exhibition game. I will make more footage when I go off to review this (I still have to finish Alpha Team and review it first though), but if you want to know my initial thoughts, they're on my blog: legoking831.blo...

I loved this game
I never had this game when I was a kid, but it's still fun to play!

This game had a demo which was bundled alongside Lego Sports 2003. I still have the disc. Oh boy, the nostalgia. Never got to play the full version, but I hope I will sometime soon.

@@vogelmann8201 Actually, me too. There wasn't much to play with in Lego Sports anyway. Never got to unlock the mysterious Basketball game either. I don't even know how to unlock it, but I worked my way around it. Hahahahahahaha
Branny Cedeño There were two versions of the disc, had both but lost the snowboard one. Ofc, just like you, I used a workaround with the Menu and clicked „play“ until I got to the Snowboard game lol
I have both the PC and this console version of this game. I never had the PC version when I was a kid, but it was fun to play it last year, and so was the PlayStation 2 version. Nice gameplay video!
Differences from PC noticed:
Everything runs much faster
4-player option
Music is slightly different
Also, 5:30 and 8:55 were awesome. Great video!
I played this game all the time back when it first came out. There was this one time where I scored more than 20 goals in one game. But that was way back in 2005 most likely, So I don't remember my actual score.

Looks like a fun game. I miss LEGO's old games in the late 90's. Today's LEGO games suck. It is just collect the LEGO studs and go to the next level.

@jamessterV2 Another easy way to make it go in with a rocket is by holding the opposite direction when charging. It makes the ball go REALLY high (I did it a couple of times in this video, one being at 9:13), and you can just use the rocket and it'll go over everybody, hit the wall, and rebound back into the goal. I thought things running slower in the PC version was just because of lag, but I guess not! LOL!
The Lego games back then were very unique and were all different. The Lego games now are practically like every call of duty game. They're the same with a different theme.
The music is slightly different on the PC.
And great gameplay by the way.
I got this with Island Xtreme Stunts for PC back in 2003 in a "Games for Kids" bundle by EA, Maxis, and Lego Interactive. The bundle also came with Sim Theme Park (which almost never ran on our Windows XP computer) Sim Coaster, and Sim Town. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find IXS after I took a picture of it for RRU.
Did you lose it? If so, find another copy on Amazon or eBay.
@MAT0R0 It's not that they are necessarily bad, it's just that they just keep repeating the same formula over and over, and it's gotten very stale. It also bugs me how they try to take every movie license imaginable and calling it "Lego".
I played the hell out of this game on the PC...thanks for the good memories.
@MedalOHonor123 The graphics also seem to be inferior (and no, that's not because WMM or my GameBridge screwed it up, it even seems that way on a TV), but otherwise it's the same game.
First game I ever reached the end credits in. I remember the Martian team being a pain.

Looks like it might be coming back, 2k partnered with lego. Possibly soccer game or sport lego games. As long as it's 4 player my friends and I could have some yelling laughing good times with it. Lol. Lego racers in 2025...could be insane nostalgia.

@legoking831 Yeah, true. Hmmm...come to think of it. LEGO did have some good portable games in mid 2000's. Like Bionicle: Maze of Shadows for GBA, LEGO Battles for DS. They are pretty good games. I wish it was on console though.
Oh yeah, I also like your late 90's LEGO PC game reviews (LEGO Racers 2, LEGO Island Extreme, etc.). Some of them, I don't even own! Do you think you can review LEGO: Rock Raiders or LEGO: Alpha Team PC games, if you have it, by any chance?

This game is really rare in person.This game is really hard to get in gamestop. Although it is REALLY FUN.

The music is slightly different sounding to the PC version. Also the PS2 version doesn't have the music that plays in the Arctic locations and just uses the City music
