2025 Acura TLX Type S: Interior | Car Conversations

Today we are looking at the interior of the Acura TLX Type S. The interior is finished in red on today’s example, and the seats will be made with real leather and suede and they will have heating, ventilation, and 16 way power adjusting. The steering wheel is in perforated leather but it is not heated. 2024 brought the digital gauge cluster with lots of customization, and it changes with the drive mode. Materials are great in the TLX with leatherette, stitching, faux aluminum, and gloss black. Storage is pretty good considering the segment of cars this competes in. The center console is relatively large and you have two cup holders and a wireless phone charger. Climate controls stay completely physical which is nice to see, and the infotainment system is still run by the trackpad. The screen size increased from 10.9” to 12.3”, but most people find the trackpad annoying in the first few weeks of living with the car. However, there is still built in navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and some fun settings to play around with. The 2024 update brought a 360 backup camera with better resolution and more angles. The back seats don’t have that much space, so don’t plan on putting taller people back there regularly, but you have two USB-C ports, an armrest with storage, and vents. The driveshaft hump is humongous however. The trunk is pretty big for the segment, and you can easily fold down the second row for more room, but the chassis bracing will take up a little room.
