Nothing worse on getting sick, hope yous guys are keeping well on your next travels 🙏 stay safe ☺️ Ken you would definitely be a good kids story teller 👌
In this time of covid stress your videos are uplifting.. as u show the rivers keep flowing the birds keep singing and the flowers keep blooming. Covid don't effect our world just us.
I have to correct you Ken, the Hoi Polloi are the masses, the common people. Midhurst and Petworth would be really nice if it wasn't for theconstant flow vehicles.
All the best Ken you have done the right thing heading home there’s nothing better to speed up the recovery process then having your own bed to sleep in looking forward to the next episode.
Ken, I hope you are feeling better soon. My wife and I have been watching many of your videos (since Covid canceled our first trip to London). We find your videos quite entertaining and informative. We particularly like your video editing technique (style) and content. It's just the right mix of scenic and educational touring, van life (parking, meals, etc.), and occasional challenges. Last summer we purchased a 2018 MB Metris (USA), which by the way, isn't as nice as the Vito. So we had a conversion company up fit it for touring and day trips. Thanks for the inspiration!
The building whats its name what a glorious thing it would have been in its hey day i can imagine horses and carriages pulling up outside and all the refinery excellent property.. Hope you feel better soon bonnie lad.
Sorry your not feeling well Ken, stay safe take some time off if you need some self care ( Carol care) we will all be here when you are fit and well again. Kindest regards
All my best to you. Hope you are well these days. Thank you for being a trooper even while feeling down. Always looking forward to your next adventure. Ta from Knoxville Tennessee USA.
@Life is too short Hi Ken & Carol, Just catching up on some of your videos since the Isle of Man. I stopped for about an hour in Petworh in 1982, I was traveling from Chichester up to Stains with a walking group that I was driving at he time. I was an mechanical engineer up to 1980 when I had a heart operation and had to give it up. I became a Tour coach driver after that up to 2000 when I had a metal vakve Implant. I covered a lot of Enland, Scotland and Wales as well as a lot of the continent. I hope you were not laid up for too long with that dose you had. Some lovely driving along the south coast, I covered most of it from Plymouth to Dover, but never got down to Lizard or Lands End.
Enjoyed your series on Ireland (and I live there) reminded me of how telly programmes used to be made - gently paced but interesting. Anyway I hope you don’t have the dreaded CoViD and I wish you well for a speedy recovery.
Thanks Stephen, glad you enjoyed our Ireland series. I am well on the mend now thank you and looking forward to getting out in the campervan again soon ☺️👍
Some of the villages & small towns you visit are very pretty. I used to live in Cowplain & when we were teenagers I & two friends used to walk to South Harting, to look at the old church & the victorian lady of the manor's private bathing pool etc, just to have an interesting walk. We didn't have any money but we could take a sandwich & walk. We walked to Butser & Petersfield too.
Loved the shots in the park that Capability Broon had designed, he certainly had the vision to create something beautiful that would only be truly appreciated by future generations. Hope you are feeling better soon, Mike & Trish.
Oh no please feel better soon sending best wishes , sorry i jumped a few videos but will be going back. Wonderful video again , i will be going back to earlier videos and saving some for Christmas time lol stay safe both :)
We will definitely be doing more videos on Sussex. You don’t have to travel far to enjoy a good trip in a campervan 😊 Make sure to say hello if you see us out and about 👋👍🙂
Ken hope your feeling much better soon. Nothing like home when you’re feeling poorly. Carol will take good care of you, relaxation and home comfort needed.x
Dear Ken, in case you can get your hands on some ginger (raw, slice it in tea or powder into a meal) please use it daily! Get well sooner, run with your scooter! :D Meaning: rest and recover home then have fun again with showing us your wonderful county! :) Keep it safe! Carol, you did a great camera-work done! ;) bear hugs, Kata
Hi guys, Ken even though you where feeling unwell you and Carol still produced a really good video, l hope you are feeling better soon l think you made the right call staying close to home,. PS. Carol, l was glad to see you had a go at making potato farls that fry up looked good, stay safe guys cheers
@@LifeistooshortCK Hi Guys, thank you for getting back to me, yes l love to bake , the soda & wheaten farls are also tasty ( 1pint flour ,1/2 pint buttermilk ) is a rough guide , getting the right flour might be a problem where you live, no doubt it will be on your shopping list when you return to Ireland !!!
Hope you feel better soon. Being NT life members my wife and I have visited Petworth and Upark regularly but we still found something new in your vlog. Thanks for sharing. Jeff
Feel better soon Ken and don't give it to the lovely Carol. The drone shot of Petworth would make an excellent post card. Maybe a source of income? Take care!
Feeling unwell is not allowed, we enjoyed the Ireland tour very much and are going to binge it this weekend and we are really enjoying the Sussex tour, particularly liked a couple of pieces of music in this one with the voice over, really looking forward to the next episodes and hope you feel well soon. Yvonne thinks it's man flu but I'm sure Carols looking after you. Take care both of you
Thanks Alan, glad you are both enjoying the videos. Ken is being well looked after so we can get back to filming again asap. Best wishes to you and Yvonne 😀
I am glad you feel better now, thanks for doing great job on filming with great selections of backgrounds music , I enjoy those amazing place’s. , during COVID restrictions, being @ home, . Stay safe and thank you. 👍👍
I saw mushrooms in fields and the odd mention of the same. This was my miserable experience for seven days in my van April/May. Mushrooms from a shop were ever so slightly slimey, so I peeled them thinking all would be well, and it was for a day. Second day was constant stomach runs and a temperature for 2 days. I have never been so thankful for my 'Bivvy Loo' It took 7 days to get back to come normality and the whole process of getting my stomach back to good health. Being on the road 90% of the time it was the first time I have been ill for over twenty years, and it was all self inflicted. Every time I see mushrooms it triggers a response lol, but I still eat them when absolutely the freshest and I never store them now.
That sounds quite an experience. Getting the runs in a van is our biggest worry and I carefully consider what I eat with that in mind. I think if it started to happen to us we would bail into the nearest Premier Inn and wait it out with a real bathroom. 😁👍
Sorry you are sick - here's to a speedy recovery. I love your vlogs - so professional - content, footage, narration, music, cooking tips. You keep it real. Are you a professional in retirement?? My van is my passion and my husband just about tolerates it when I manage to get him away in it - to justify the cost of it!!! Being in the highly vulnerable category I cannot complain because it is my escape - even if I just camp out in the driveway - or we get away for a night ! You Sussex series is brilliant because I can plan a jaunt - based on your research to throw at him when the time and weather is right. Your plan for doing Sussex when the weather and Covid situation allows during the winter months is a great idea! Drink lots, paracetamol, and homemade chicken soup for you old chap!
Glad you like the videos Juanita 👍. I have no background in video but its been the one hobby that has endured where others have come and gone. I just like recording what we do and always look for ways to improve the result. It helps that we both enjoy looking back on the trips when we are not travelling. Vans are expensive for sure so we aim to get the most out of that investment. I am lucky as Carol loves the van despite the obvious discomforts at times and it provides endless opportunities for me to film. I am doing fine thanks 👍
I am making a declaration. You two can never quite making videos . Ken you dry sense of humor has me cracking up. Have Carol sew you a red campervan mask. Stay healthy you two ! Cheers from the USA.
Hope you are on the road to recovery Ken, nothing worse than feeling under the weather. We smiled when you opened the tin of chicken in white sauce, we do a variation on the theme, same Sainsbury’s chicken in white wine, plus a tin of Home pride white wine cook in sauce, chopped mushrooms and frozen/tinned garden peas, over a bed rice or pasta.......4 good portions from this.😜😛🤪
