I live in Haslemere! Blackdown is such a beautiful place and the views are, in my humble opinion, amongst some of the most beautiful in the country. Wonderful video as always 👌🏻🥂
The place you visited is the highest point in West Sussex, We too have just returned from a trip in our camper and we visited the highest point in East Sussex. Ditchling beacon just north of Brighton. Its well worth a visit too.
Isn't it wonderful that the generosity of one man has continued to benefit the whole of others who have come after - so encouraging for me to see. Had to laugh at your comment "this will be interesting as we haven't walked" as we say this all the time LoL! Thanks for the gorgeous fall footage - Sussex is so beautiful!
Nice video of places i know well!. I found your channel and followed your Ireland trip...it's a place I love. Im sure I spotted the van on the Trundle car park at Goodwood...i was on my way back from Midhurst...? Cheers, Steve
Great few days out Ken & Carol, loved seeing that park up spot during the day, at night and from the sky. How generous was that guy giving that land to the public, good on him!
Hi William, thanks for the tip 👍. We have got a Karcher but in our tiny van the windows are a bit small for it to be effective and it gets in the way a bit so its future use is unclear. At the moment we are going back to microfibre cloths but that could easily change again 👍
I really enjoy the music you pick to showcase your videos. I am so happy to whomever designed drones for photography as the views are amazing. Happy travels.
you probably dont care but if you are bored like me during the covid times you can stream all of the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my brother lately :)
I’m loving this tour of Sussex what a great idea, also love the meals it gives me some great ideas. I forgot to say about 5 episodes back you had a problem with magpies pecking the back of the van. My friend has a red car and has terrible trouble with the magpies in her garden as they peck the rubber seal around the window and she has had to have it replaced. I don’t know what the answer is but hope you have not had any more vandalism since that episode. 🚘❤️
Glad you are enjoying our tour of Sussex. We have only had that problem with magpies once and we don’t have them at home so hopefully we should be OK 🤞😀
Always enjoy your selection of music n the superp video. The shot on the activities of other people n nature really makes me feel as if I was there. Thank you both. Keep up the good works.
Yeah your back, brilliant. Loved the video and the drone footage. Ken you always tell a lovely story of events with your video.👏🏻👏🏻 We look forward to the next episode. Best wishes Sue, Brian and The Westies👍🐶🐾😀
luv your video and the lovely places you take us when your touring round and the amazing scenery, I luv your little red camper van. I cant wait to see your next video, it gives me something to look forward to. take care.
Ahoy Pirates! :D So happy for the new adventures! :D Reminded me of the Shire in LOTR! And perhaps a bit of Mirkwood too. Good to see you again and that amazing nature around Blackdown and the Benbow Lake. I am learning! :) bear hugs, your ever well-wisher, Kata
Great video of my area, sort of. I originally come from a small village called Kirdford, not far off the road from Wisborough Green and Petworth. Years ago (55ish) my dad used to deliver milk around Lodsworth, Lurgashall, Blackdown and Bexley hill. At Benbow pond you should have tried tossing a bit of bread in, it normally floats for a few seconds then a giant mouth comes up and the bread is gone. Some of the fish in there are huge, fishing is not allowed so they just grow and grow! CharlieG
I looked up Black Down on the computer to get an idea where it is located. I was also noting that you sounded "out of breath" and laughed with your admission that you were! I was wondering if you track how far you and Carol walked. It seemed to be a fairly busy place. I will note and please take it as a compliment but you guys eat so healthy - vegetables all the time. I would be a cheap dinner date - meat, potatoes and a beer!
That walk was about a 3 mile round trip. It was fairly busy, probably because the weather was good and it was a Sunday. Nothing wrong with meat, potatoes and a beer 🥩🥔🍺😀👍
Nice video in England. I hope to visit there one day. My Brompton bicycle is made there and would love to see some shops and the factory. thanks again for a great video. I enjoy watching it.
Good to see you two back on the road after Ireland. Think I’m going to really enjoy this series as I know a lot of the place you’ll probably go to. Time will tell. Great content as usual. Jeff
Happy to see you both out on the road again , nice video lovely to see that part of England , now i see you are hooked on potato bread or Fadge as we would call it i can never get enough of it when i go home :) there is nothing like a good Ulster fry . Thanks for a great video.
@@LifeistooshortCK Considered to be the ultimate breakfast food, Ulster fry is Northern Ireland's favorite dish consisting of sausages, streaky bacon, eggs and tomatoes, with the addition of griddle-baked soda farls (quarters) and potato bread, fried until golden crispy on the exterior, and tenderly fluffy on the interior. we would also add baked beans , mushrooms and some black pudding , I think Carol cam very close to making for you early in your trip :)
Stunning autumn colours, just found your channel, we are motor homers, never done wild camping so was interested in your perspective, hopefully we can get our vans on he road next year
Hi Ken and carol great to see you out on your travels again great drone footage Ken and your potato 🥔 bread carol looks tasty lovely views I was about to say you sound out of breath Ken but you beat me to it lol great video Ken is that from the osmo action camera? Thanks so much for sharing cheers take care and stay safe 👍
Hi Rod. Sorry for late reply. The walk was shot on a Sony RX100 on a gimbal. Its defo better than the Osmo Action but more awkward. Still finding out what suits me to be honest. If I can cut down to one camera plus drone it would be good.
Don't you live in a lovely spot?! I grew up in rural Sonoma County, California, which looks very similar to your county. (BTW, I saw the sticker. It looks good in its new home!)
Hi guys what’s the average price of a van like yours? What is the average cost per mile for diesel if you have this info it would be so helpful.Would you live in your van in the winter in Ireland what’s your thoughts.
It depends if you are doing the conversion yourself. There is a guy on RUclips called Andy Beck who bought a second hand NV200 and only paid £800 to convert it himself ruclips.net/video/wq0ZjvMf118/видео.html On the other hand a brand new ready converted electric version is around £60k. Our camper van is too small to live in but as you can see from our earlier vlogs, we did go away in it all through last winter on short trips. With a bigger van there would be no problem spending a winter in Ireland if there were no Covid restrictions.
Hi, Thankyou for the videos, I drove to blackdown today but couldn't find the carpark..would like to stay the night too...anychance you could send a screenshot or what3words to help find it or anything...thankyou.
Loved it loved it. Such quiet peaceful places you find to share with us. A small suggestion for those of us who live across the pond (and others) could you pin a map so we know where you are when you go to a destination? If it’s too much trouble then no problem, or if you just don’t want to. Thank you for considering! Take care and I look forward to more adventures with the little red camper van! Mary
Back in the 1990's I flew into London. I so remember the "patchwork" fields, with stone fences, or hedges. So beautiful!!

Excellent never been to Sussex one place I must come and visit 👍😎 thanks for sharing
Definitely worth a visit, we have plenty more lined up for vlogging. Thanks for watching 😀
Great video Carol and Ken. Thanks for showing us this lovely high spot and all thanks to the man who donated it to the National Trust.
Thanks Del. Yes, thanks to his generosity, all these years later we can still enjoy these lovely views and walking trails 😀

Cheers Mike. Yes very nice of him to do that otherwise I wonder what would have happened to it. 👍
Sussex looks beautiful with all its autumnal colours. And another tasty looking lunch Carol. Your videos always make me hungry. :)

Nice walk en nice pictures en drone images. What a dark place to stay the night.
Thanks Hans. Yes it was so dark and quiet there we had a very relaxing night 😀
Nice drone work. Not been to that place before, will do now.
Cheers. Well worth a look up there 👍
Another top vlog, a tip for the condensation, get a cheap window vac or get a karcher when on offer, makes life so much easier.

I use my phone as a sat nav, but always keep my old Tom Tom in the car just in case. It’s far more reliable in difficult signal areas.

Curious what the name is for those ducks at the end of the video? Really quite beautiful birds! I do not believe we have those here in the states.
They are Egyptian geese 🙂

Is the GPS aerial for the SatNav in a good place, with a good "view" of the sky and away from interference?
It seems to be. I didn’t fit it so I will have to get the book out and check everything.
Ken do you have to worry about carbon monoxide while cooking if the windows are closed?
We have an alarm Brad but to be honest it never crosses my mind. It would have to be on for ages to cause a problem. 👍
That was wonderful after a day hard work with a cappuccino by my side 👌
Thanks for watching, glad you found it relaxing 😀
