Definitely underrated…I recommended this to many of my “bourbon only” friends. And yes, they’ve all enjoyed it. Keep up the great reviews.

Just found it today along with a Michter’s Toasted Barrel Strength Rye for msrp. Not a bad shopping day I think. 😂
Looking forward to cracking both with friends in the near future.

Wow Erik that's a generous score! This one is ridiculously priced in my market and having not connected with the brand before I gave this a pass but after your review, colour me intrigued! Cheers 🥃

Thanks for review. Never had any of their stuff as only the basic cheap bottle is on shelf by me and never heard anyone say good things about it. Will get one of these if I ever see it

Thanks again Erik for the review. I have always seen these around, but have yet to buy or try one. Heading out today. About $99 in New York. Looking forward to it 🥃

Kudos to you Erik. Another winner. I always forget this isn't 40%.
It might be my imagination but I feel like we're all on this journey together. There are some young channels that are reviewing the old standards but as Glenrothes is largely ignored on the Tube, it's cool that your studies are refocusing on this bottle.
Seems like they have a huge capacity so where are they selling it?
This seasoned cask NAS? Could be very wet casks.😂

Thanks for this review. Given that a store near me has this one on sale for $49.99, I really need to stop in and pick up a bottle this week. I can't refuse at that price, based on reviews.

This one is reasonably priced here in Ontario at $120 CAD. How does this stand up to Aberlour A'Bunadh? The two Scotches are very similar in price and you scored both at 92/100. Perhaps there needs to be a taste off between the two.

That's a really good question. It's $90 USD by me and I always forget that it's not 43-40% like the rest of the underpowered core range.
      48-53 is beautiful, IMHO I avoid 60+ , especially if it's young.
The A'bunadh Is more expensive here and has the status of being a "must try".
Glenrothes is usually a pass in my mind. But with the increase in stills they must be selling a lot of whisky to somebody.

Erik got hooked on Scotch 5 yrs ago and this was one of my favs. Journeyed down the bourbon path now and looking for a $40 PN for the wifey for her Bday. Any suggestions? I was a wino prior to the Whiskey obsession and mostly drank Cabs. Love your content.

Try 2009 David Bruce Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir. It is about $35. They also source grapes from along the California Coast but their estate Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir is the best.

I tried a Russian River Pinot with Salmon and it was fantastic. What are some of your other favorite food and wine pairings?
