Found your video at it was very in depth, Thank you. I went through all the steps and got an error. Said that the cloning could not complete. Now when I try to redo the steps it will not allow me to clone from the drive I need cloned. What do I do now??? Did you have to turn anything off or stop from running on the computer your copying from?

Hi schawn rolfe. I am sorry you are having problems. The method I have shown you in this video works for me me every time. Are you sure that every step in the process is being followed?

I came across this via Google search on cloning a Samsung drive, not sure if any of it will be helpful but figured it was worth posting just in case. www.ubackup.com/articles/samsung-data-migration-cloning-failed-4348.html

Hi @@marottamonster. Thank you for the information. There are many cloning (and system imaging) programs that do the same job. I know the method used in this video works because it worked for me. I have used AOMEI to make system images and it worked for me and would probably work as a clone program too.

UsefulWisdom I figured if they had the same problem as what was described in the article then the solution might be the same.

Whenever I try to allocate the new ssd, it says that it’s going to convert it into a dynamic disk and if I do so, I won’t be able to start the installed OS from any volume on the disk(s) except for the designated boot drive. I had no problem cloning the drive, but I’m having a lot of problems trying to get the pc to make the SSD the boot drive. What do you suggest?

If you are swapping the HDD for a cloned SSD of the same drive there should be no difference between them. They have the same information on them. But if you put the SSD into a different SATA connector, you need to go into the Bios and change the boot drive to the SSD.

@@UsefulWisdom I did this and im not sure if it worked. I changed the boot drive to the SSD with the HDD still connected as well. ti started up fine. But then when I disconnected the HDD and swapped the SSD in its place, I got a windows error. (0xc00000e). So I am not sure how to fix that.
