I just can't figure out why they're leaving the upper angles alone. Even if the room gets crown, we at least put a tape coat on for fire and bug purposes. This could be Aussie specific. They definitely work as a team!

Suppose to fall down occasionally on the stilts, the mud should fall off the ceiling and collect on the floor and his clothing, he has not cussed and don’t look fatigued at all. And worst of all, who ever has to come behind him and sand it down is being treated way to good and may have problems finding another job.

  • @abygmz

for those wondering why his mud is yellow: its called topping.
real pros know the difference and when to use it.
joint compound is used to embed tape and do the first coat and second coat. lightly sanding in between.
then for the finish they apply topping which unlike joint compound is vinyl based and therefore goes on smoother and is easier to sand and bring to a really fine finish.
While I agree he could probably do a more effective job with a knife and pan, I have a lot of respect for guys who can use a hawk and trowel, shit takes skill and as long the job gets done right and on time people wont care if you put it on with a butter knife.
