Hello Nathan, excellent video and advice as always. After 30 years in the luxury real business in Florida and Hawaii, it’s all about the quality of the photos. They have to be good, really good. The cost is really not important. After many years of receiving mediocre HDR photos, I decided I can do better myself and in the last four years of studying your books, training and RUclips videos, I now produce very good photos. Your advice to new photographers looking to get good real estate clients is exactly right. Don’t charge less, just be dependable and do outstanding photography.

    Thank you!
Is there any chance you could make a video about taking flambient photos after dark?
The days are getting shorter, and in winter, with bad weather, it can be dark as early as the afternoon, which is the only time when some homeowners are off work and available for a session.
Flambient photography at night looks much better than standard photography, but I’m sure you can give some advice on how to make it even better, specifically on how to deal with the darkness outside the window and the use of artificial ambient light on location.

Hi Nathan, Today Is a very poignant day for me to watch this video and share the story of my success. Today I will be attending the funeral of not only a very close friend and colleague, but also the funeral of my first ever client. I apporced Carola Realtor in my office 12 years ago as she was a very successful and well loved agent in the surrounding counties, at the time she like most during that time were shooting her own photos. I offered to shoot her next 5 listings for free so I could practice my skills and build a portfolio, additionally I offered to continue shooting all her listing (Big or Small) for $75.00 for eternity. My last shoot for Carol was about 2 weeks ago and although my price structure has quadrupled I kept my promise. Carol at age 82 sadly passed this last week and till the day she passed away promoted my work to all she knew in the industry. Today I shoot an average of 36 listing a month and owe it to Carol for trusting me. I have honed my skills using your You-Tube, Books and Classes to build a very successful and rewarding Business. Just had to share this as I will always be Grateful for Carol and never forget that she helped me become the photographer I am today.

I’m glad that you are getting this kind of information out there. I see a lot of information about growing fast though messaging agents, but as someone that has grown a successful business through referrals, I would hate to think how stressful my business would be constantly trying to get new clients. Also, clients that are acquired through referrals tend to be less of a headache. The ones that respond to messages to get the cheapest price are going to be really hard to work with, always want a discount, and complain about everything.

Hi Nathan, I've been watching your videos for many years now. I learned flambient from you and most of my editing techniques.
I've been doing it full-time for 8 months now with a brokerage deal and a few referrals but I'm getting beat down by people who are following Eli's process of giving free shoots to people and advertising it as well.
I can't afford to do free shoots but also can't afford a lack of work here in LA. I'm averaging 4 jobs a week but some weeks are dead. What can I do better?

I would NEVER do shoots for free. Never have, and never will. To address your issue, without knowing what kind of work you do, what practices you're applying (exactly), what marketing you've done so far, what conversions you've accomplished, frequency of repeat work, etc., it would be impossible for me to say where you're problems are coming from. The next step, beyond my courses, is to consider a private Zoom session with me. You can email directly me for pricing and availability at Nathan@NathanCoolPhoto.com

Great marketing strategies and the basics apply to Loan Officers soliciting for more real estate agent referral business as well. Don't just spam the hundreds or thousands of agents through your database management system; select a few, long term, top producers and set yourself apart by providing unique value.
