If you continue the game after the initial ending and identify all the anomalies, Greta is rewarded Employee of the Month, and her supervisors dance in the observation booth. However, a team of people in hazmat suits suddenly appears and surrounds Greta, grabbing her. The game then ends with "To be continued." I wonder if the job itself was all an elaborate ploy to lure Greta out of hiding because they (whoever "they" are) found out that it was her who started the fire and killed her parents. I don't know what they plan to do with her, but it'll be interesting to find out. Overall, this game was great, a captivating premise for a psychological horror. I recommend everyone play it for themselves and message the dev to make a sequel.
My suspicion is that her action in the past causing premanufactured cabins start getting haunted by her parents. They're luring her in to find out how to remove those hauntings.
I think she's a worker of factory that produces cabins and it triggers her ptsd. Even after going back home where're she looks inside the closet, which is often a metaphorical representations of the thinks we want to hide. The bacin is still there. Meaning memory is still there. And the fact that Greta considers it the most dangerous job, is because it's danger to her psychy. Cuz it triggers her trauma. And perhaps maybe her brother died in this mud when they tried to escape, which hurts her even more.
The radio did say that they only found two bodies. While the two children were reported to be missing. I think all the cabins are a symbol of the stages her survivor's guilt goes through. At first it's not noticeable. Until it gets worse and worse. Her job could be her trying to find and treat the symptoms and her boss could be a therapist.
THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT. The figurative phrase I thought about was: "We all have skeletons buried in the closet." Not literally her parents skeletons but the secret that she was the arsonist behind their deaths. In figurative form: their souls.

Actually there are two pictures of her and her brother at her apartment. There’s one from during the cabin time (almost looks like it’s taken after/during the fire) and the other one is what looks like a close to the present time picture.
As a childhood abuse survivor this really hit me in the feels. Even when you escape, even if you get proper therapy and treatment after, the PTSD is never fully gone. My nightmares may be rare now, my panic attacks may happen only a couple times a year instead of most days now, but it will never be fully gone. Certain stressors will still cause those nightmares to come back, those panic attacks to rear their ugly head… I know every so often I will have that haunting nightmare of when punishment left me barely able to walk because of pain. Days in bed recovering. Punished for laughing after bed time.
i saw this as a purgatory of sorts, like she's dead and she has to process the trauma she went thru and the lengths she had to go to escape it to pass over, once she processes it all, she can move on ¿ she feels guilty and therefore her mind subconsciously punishes her until she reaches acceptance/forgiveness. I think that her apartment might reference silent hill the room cuz ik silent hill also has themes of purgatory/guilt/grief
The company is creating Hyper-realistic horrors. For what reasons we don't know but it could merely be a front for a different science experiment. There are 2 main possibilities, the direct one of this facility having a bunch of identical cabins, some with dangerous anomalies that they cannot expose to the public as it's a liability and some are safe anomalies that don't move or are just 'normal' that they're shipping out for some reason. Or to look at it scientifically they are testing something. They know who Greta is and has merely made a cabin that looks like her house from the outside while the inside is filled out by Greta's personal memories. Given in the employee of the month ending that we see her apprehended by people in hazmat suits there may be a contaminat in the air. Think Scarecrow's fear toxin. Breathing it in has caused hallucinations. The issue is in taking it seriously in trying to figure out the motive of the company you stop and wonder "ok why do they need greta to do this if they know what is haunted or not already? If it's in her head how are they triggering haunts and why are they doing it? I'm leaning more towards company enhaning haunted attractions via a fear gas and using someone with a traumatic past to test it.
Perhaps the haunts manifest for the individual and is different for everyone, and only if they have trauma or perhaps demons from their past following them. Perhaps people who have not had such trauma manifest nothing at all. Also, maybe they detain her because they want to find people who can activate these anomalies as they may hold some power they can use?
I saw that too. He was kind of chilling after seeing the movement through the window(Ghost walked passed the rear window) and as he was talking I heard extra footsteps thanks to my earbuds and braced myself while still calling BS XD
Hiring a professional means hiring a person to do something that they were specifically trained to do (like at a university or apprenticeship), although I too would like to know how they trained the people checking for those anomalies lol
Was just wondering, you can tell it's from a playthrough as the position of the sound changes like the player is turning around or walking around while listening to the radio or mother.
I can't stand Anomoly games and rolled my eyes when I watched a playthrough of it... But it having a story was good and something about the atmosphere and presentation of THIS one was really cool. It was a little more exciting and well made compared to the others. It was decent and I take back my eye roll for this one!
Yeah buddy you don't understand Purgatory if you think there isn't an end you get out once you have repented for your sins long enough. It's a waiting room to go to Hell or Heaven depending on your actions
@isabelladiazdiaz7963 purgatory isn't a type of hell. At least in Catholicism, purgatory is a place where souls who still have sins to purge are given an opportunity to do so, so they can go to heaven. Going to purgatory means you're going to heaven eventually. Souls aren't sent to hell from there lmao
Where is Hansel and what happened to him?
Idk
Probably alive until further confirmation or died of other calmer causes
Probably got eaten by a witch.
There is a photo of him it’s on the bookshelf in the living room
*Hansel has left the game*

I believe her brother is still alive. In her apartment there is a photo of her on the couch next to a younger male, whom I would assume is Hans.

i don't think so
the male looks much youthful than her
and the deference in age between the siblings is only 3 years

Something about learning horror backstories through radio always gives me chills… I love it
I have a theory that his brother owns the cabin company and explains why we just start working without any one checking on us
That’s good one true ….. 🤔

If you notice that in Greta's apartment. There is picture of her and her brother all grown up. It's in her bedroom I believe.

Bought this last week, loved it, absolutely worth the $4 Canadian (with tax) I paid.
This is like The Machinist of video games.
I would pick the crazy Witch in the cabin over those parents.
One of my theories is that her brother runs some type of Mental/therapy company and this is how they are processing her PTSD?
The big bad Wolf is back 🎉🎉
Where Is My Son, Sora?
At my parents house visiting before my mom goes out of town and R drops another banger
