The owner of Lakeshore Hospital in 2009 was Dr. Philip Augustine. He was the founder of the hospital and the then head of the hospital. He was one of the doctors who signed the brain stem death certificate of the patient, Abin, whose organs were allegedly transplanted without his consent. The court found that there was no evidence to prove that Dr. Augustine had examined Abin, and that some of the other doctors who signed the certificate also had no authorisation.
In 2023, the Managing Director of Lakeshore Hospital is SK Abdullah. He has assured to fully cooperate with the investigation into the alleged illegal organ transplant.
