Praying for Elder Holland to heal. I don't want to live in a world without his wise, compassionate guidance. ❤

I agrre with Elder Holland. It is the reasons she looked back
We are often like her as we want to keep one foot in Babylon and the other in Zion. We cannot serve 2 masters. As the 2nd coming draws near, we need to plant our feet firmly in Zion.

I know there's more to discover and apply from this talk. I fully agree with forgetting the worst of our pasts and would move to farm the moon to avoid familiar bombshells associated to reviving any retro-blasts. Apparently things familiar have legs and will confront. Regardless of how fast we might drive to outrun, things with legs inevitably seem to confront when they are staged in paths of futures progress. Once the general principle of this talk catches on, I suspect the title will change to "forget Lots wife!". Ha!

When our confidence & hope is wavering, and we feel like giving up, we should pray for more faith to keep trying. If we want to follow Christ, he will help us to take our journey towards eternal joy, one small step at a time.

Forgiving is good, but what are we supposed to do about those in our lives who are repeat abusers? People who are vicious and seek to destroy us? Some people are so toxic that you can not reason or deal with them in a normal way. If we forget about their abuse, we might allow them back in to abuse again. What are we supposed to do about those people? How do we heal when we have to be on guard?

    • @ladyjade6446

Use your agency to break free. Narcissists never learn, never take accountability, and always choose themselves above others. Even if you were “automatically” sealed to someone, you have a choice.

It isn’t so much to forgive and forget their abuse, but to lived healed. Through my many years of healing, I noticed when I didn’t forget what the abuser did, I would get angry or hurt emotionally all over again. I would think of all the ways they deserve punishment or karma, etc. basically how they deserved to have horrible things happen to them. The thoughts would get less and less but I would still get hurt. That told me I hadn’t forgiven them. But now, as I have forgiven them, I understand that they too where hurt and broken. That their capacity to love and be kind wasn’t there. It had nothing to do with me, my worth, or worthiness. It is unfortunate that we have such broken adults, who hurt others as they too have been hurt or allow evil in their hearts. When you let go of the pain associated with them, life is beautiful. This typically looks like forgiving and forgetting. The abuser is not off the hook (if they legally damaged you, you may get recompension or get them in jail, etc) you are not letting what they did to control your feelings and actions any longer. But there will be a day a reckoning, they will pay for their sins here, or in the next life.

It is general knowledge that every Thursday afternoon Jesus comes to the SLC temple and the prophet sits down with him to make the weekly stock picks, This has produced a stock portfolio worth over 100 billion dollars. This is very un fair to the members. These stock picks should be made available to all tithe paying members in a weekly news letter so that all the members can have the same blessings as the GAs...
