I have 2 reasons (besides price, which did come down.) why I won't go with Say Intensions because it doesn't have and they have no intention (pardon the pun!) to add an auto respond option like BATC due to cost! The first is admittedly selfish! Due to a medical condition logistically response by voice doesn't work for me. The other is while there's no issue with GA flights Airline ATC is handled by pilot not flying so not having a auto respond option is unrealistic for airline ops!
SI is really the way to go for the future, they will keep programming and tweaking untitil it is the best and most realistic ATC (and more) program. It wil be a flightsim platform with much more than ATC!! Furthermore, it does not change anyting in your fs software, it is completely stand alone. Does not affect frame rate or anything else, it is not a plugin!. The voices, and accents keep getting better and better. And you'll have ATC the whole flight long, from gate to gate. That, I never had with Vatsim, where controllers go offline the moment you enter their airspace, which I allways found very frustrating. If you really want it " Sas real as it gets", Than SayIntentions is way to go. No, the way to FLY! :)
Good video, but I think you need to mention that SI is in beta right now and will likely remain so for another year. If you sign up for SI you are signing up to be part of a community of beta testers. I've done just that, and I'm having a blast. The bugs are all part of the fun, and what's amazing is how fast they get fixed.
Now its 16 usd if you subscribe for 1 year, so 195 usd.... its too much? I dont think so, very good fair price.
