    The only challenging part was my F36 had completely different wire colors on 3 of the harnesses. A quick call to bimmer tech and they told me to just follow the pin outs. It worked but is nice to have double confirmation of pin and wire color.
    Took about 1.5 hrs with breaks to warm up

      I had the same problem too! I ended up following the pin outs on the video and it works like a charm now!

      @@James_Edward59 when you have highly electronic cars i can understand why there is this much electrical work needing to be done. along with all the hard work the team have put into making it customizable just by having certain doors and windows opened or closed rather than having it work through an app or needing to plug into the module to be able to change preferences. i dont think its that much modification when the car originally would not let it start without you needing your foot on the brake and a key fob.

    • @bimmer-tech

      Exactly the same thing would happen if you didn't have the remote start - someone might get in and drive off. Our module only turns OFF the engine started with the remote start when you open the door.

    Interesting but very expensive for just to remote start your car plus you loose your spare key and you make your car much easier to steal lol

    • @bimmer-tech
      @bimmer-tech  Год назад +2

      George, comparing that to the features of other brands, we think it's good value for money, but we agree without a context it seems quite pricey. But it is just not easier to steal. One, the car stay shut while you turn the engine remotely, two - the engine will automatically turn off while you open the door.
      Cheers!
