When no one else can beat AMD.
AMD: Fine I’ll do it myself.
By performance intel has been beating AMD for years. This year AMD turned it around though. Stop being a fanboy over a piece of sand turned into a cpu.
Edit: to those calling me a fanboy, you're a moron and you are misunderstanding my comment. I'll gladly by whatever cpu is better, I just have an i7 8700k so I won't be needing one for a long time but if AMD still holds the reins on the cpu market, I'll switch
Like aomine 'the only one who can beat me is me'
AMD is a cheapo brand for mediocres. that processor cannot reach 5.3- 5.4 ghz stable for gaming. who uses amd for workstation that brand always have and will have problems with drivers XD and or temps lol.. workstations need quad Xeon with Nvidia Quadro RTX 48gb cards.. ill say this is a brand for hobos
Hold my beer kid .. intel doing this since years ..
@lion heart dude.... yes in games, intel is still the king for that since well the KS is essentially a binned i9 9900k that does 5ghz outta the box....which is somewhat redundant and just another sku on the product stack t hat is intel... most i9's will do close to 5ghz or pretty much 5ghz out of the box with out much tweaking...like at all... AMD is more than just value at this point, its really the smarter buy! when its so ridiculously close to intel at boost clocks now....and not just a gaming CPU but a workload CPU if you choose..so really ya...they are killing it! seriously in gaming how many people are going to need a 150 plus fps at 1080p other than to play an esport title which are all pretty easy to run with almost any CPU.. who care if the I9 can do 500 plus fps in csgo at 1080p...you don't need it... most will game above that to utilize the hardware in their PC...why buy a 1080ti or a 2080ti to game at 1080p...just like why buy an i9 9900k to only game on it when its touted also as a workstation cpu as well and AMD's 3800x will beat it in work performance to and its cheaper...and it games like a beast!.. also own intel myself not a fanboy just know facts and what i see with my eyes lol..
AMD Executive: Release it
AMD marketing team: but sir, we'll kill our own products
AMD executive: I SAID RELEASE IT
@v KEITH v I get that. It just kinda obsoletes thread ripper as it takes up a similar price point. The other am4 chips will still have a place below it.
@@Grubbybump253 New threadripper coming out will be better than this. Otherwise, this would be a threadripper CPU
@@hoixthegreat8359 of course new thread ripper will be better. This just makes current thread ripper not as appealing.
@@Grubbybump253 Threadripper is for people that needs tons of PCIe lanes and memory. You can't do that on a consumer Ryzen chip. The people who need Threadripper will still use Threadripper. It does kind of eliminate the last gen of Threadripper though.
RELEASE THE KRAKEN
4 years ago I would have never imagined amd would be murdering intel this bad
Murder? LOL nobody even expected AMD to make something "sensible". Oh well, good luck for Intel, karma hit them everywhere.
"Murdering Intel this bad."
Revenue increase for both companies from 2014 to 2018 (The heart of the CPU race)
AMD: $5.5 Billion to $6.5 Billion (+ $1 Billion)
Intel: $55.9 Billion to $70.8 Billion (+ $14.9 Billion) (Revenue increase is more than twice as much as AMDs 2018 Revenue)
Id say its more like AMD is a mosquito flying around in Intel face. It may suck some customers from Intel now, but eventually it'll get squished when Intel actually starts taking this CPU race serious.
@@alanbryson5738 Yeah but it's like Linus said a few WAN shows ago: This has long lasting effects. It makes Intel processors 'feel' inferior and these assumptions can last decades, like with AMDs 'they always run too hot'. This will hurt them in the long run. I haven't had an AMD since the Athlon XP 2000+, but I know my next processor will be team red.
@@RemizZ True and thats fine that theres a competitor to push Intel to do better at making a more competitive CPU for public consumers, but like I said, theyre not even taking this serious right now, it would waste more money to try and one-up AMD and try to put them out of business than to just ignore it. If Intel is making that much money then theres no way that they couldnt be making some sort of major breakthroughs in their CPU designs to match AMDs and making their CPUs affordable to the public. Its just a matter of they dont care right now.
@@alanbryson5738 most of that revenue came from big enterprise companies needing their server grade hardware. What happens now when they realize that they can get the same server grade performance with cheaper prices? Your analogy might be right, AMD is still a mosquito buzzing on Intel's face, but if they don't start doing something about it, remember what insect causes dengue and malaria,

@5:22 ... The charts shows CLEARLY that Intel STILL and always will blow the doors off AMD at gaming performance.
And at the end of the day, a lot of us use our gaming rigs, well, for gaming . I'll never go AMD, unless I'm using it primarily for a Streaming or a Work Station PC.
Next generation Intel answering with all midrange CPUs to have hyperthreading. So BOOM!
@@TampaGigWorker Are you serious? you do realise that A) this comment was for the most part a joke B) its natural for the first place to fluctuate between companies and C) The fact that AMD clearly Blew intel out of the water is possibly the best thing for us consumers?!?! Grow a bloody brain...unless you want almost zero performance increase per generation and outrageous prices for cpu's that could've costed less then half the price....God I hate fanboys....
@@user-it2hc6bx5t ugh.. intel 9900k is $215 cheaper than the ryzen 9 3950x. But then again there's really no other comparisons at the time of the review that matches the 3950x from Intel in productivity. Intel lags behind big time in multi threaded applications and multitasking. I'm not a fanboy of either chip producer.
But when it comes to strictly gaming performance which is all I do on my PC then I'll drop my cash on Intel. But thanks to AMD pushing Intel to make better multitasking chips at lower prices I'm actually happy about that.

L S sadly, kinda hard to justify that many cores with just 256gb RAM, that can become a bottleneck pretty quickly. If they supported registered DIMMs it’d be completely perfect, but I guess AMD is concerned with cannibalizing EPYC. If they made, let’s say, an unlocked and higher TDP EPYC-W spec, that’d be great too (if a bit pricey, dual $7000+ OC’d CPUs + 2TB RAM wholesale $15000 = ouch, both for Intel and your wallet)
@@romannasuti25 its weird to think of a bottleneck with 256gb of ram

@@itsprod.472 but he's talking about the diamond ring bro
I bet it's a Sona Diamond since AMD is so cheap.
They say "7 nm" but if you actually take off the head spreader it's a 7nm + 14nm. The Threadripper is a 7nm+7nm+7nm+7nm. So... it's a 28nm chip. Intel can make those chips easily. They were only "struggling" because they were trying to make a TRUE 7nm chip. Now they fell behind because they were trying NOT to lie, like AMD does with most of their products (Clock speeds, TDP, RAM support, etc). So NOW, the new Intel's chips are 7nm+10nm.
I'm not an Intel Fanboy nor an AMD Fanboy. I appreciate the competitive hardware climbs that both companies progress toward. I could care less whose product i'm using, so long as they aren't lying to me about HOW the product works or HOW it will perform. Everyone that is about to comment something negative only gets their computer hardware knowledge from RUclipsrs. Nobody reviews WccfTech, AnandTech, CNet, etc. On top of that, most people don't even buy new hardware to test it out for themselves (which are typically AMD fans since their main excuse is "That's too expensive. I don't have the money for that". Which is okay. I'm not expecting everyone to be rich.
Just be mindful before you bash what i'm saying. I'm only speaking facts. Not opinions.
