Wow! The man who defeated France and America - General Giap - in GDR.
Interesting were the times when East Germany was not only close friends with Vietnam but provided significant military assistance.

Agreed. The current Germany is nothing else than an American/Zionist reactionary puppet state. I have come to believe that reunification of Germany was a terrible mistake.

Its ironic, both the USSR and the USA suffered heavily in their wars against Afghanistan & Vietnam. Superpowers often underestimate the will of the people to defend their homeland.

To this day, we East Germans are quite fond of the Vietnamese and their descendants here. They are known as polite, adherent to the law, hard working and willing to integrate, unlike certain other peoples.
Even my somewhat racist father-in-law has *nothing but good* to say about the Vietnamese.
Literally the only "Friedrich under 40 I ever met was a son of a Vietnamese family.
That said, I have a feeling that the visiting Officers might be somewhat uncomfortable about the socialist hugs and kisses that are common among euro-commies. Culture shock.
