As always, Thanks for watching! Авто/Мото
It’s alive! …and purple. Love the advanced payment on the swear jar. 😂
I should have gotten more pink Peeps, they make it look purple for sure! Thanks!
What a awesome looking tractor, I love it.
Imagine a world where Oliver was the dominant American brand and not JD, then you would have innovation and not just some try to copy/ paste tech.
You did a great job! Painstaking process. But the end result was worth it!
A Perkins not priming up is why our 1850 has the Cummins now great video it sounds great
Thanks!
Very good looking 1850. In 1967 I got the chance to plow with my uncles 1965 1850 gas tricycle front. I was pulling a 6-14 plow about 8 to 9" deep in 4th gear direct. His Dad and I managed to do two 20 acre fields in a day. His Da was using the new 1967 1850 gas with a wide front and the same plow. It was a sure pleasure to drive. Kinda beat my Dad's 1949 88 with 3-14's, but I enjoyed it too.
Hearing that lope coming from a "purple" tractor sounds so wrong and I love it
Boy, Chris, is that thing PURPLE!! LOL!! Beautiful tractor, Chris!!
Thanks, Dale! Our power went out in the storm, it might go on the generator if it stays out very long. Hope it didn't hit too hard up your way.
@@ThatOliverGuyChris missed us nearly completely. A few leaves blown off the trees, we got, 1.08" of water.
I love the color... I'd like to stop by sometime with our daughter.. let her go for a ride!
Great job as always! That purple color really ''pops'' on a overcast day.
Thank you!
what is that like the twenty thousandth tractor you have sucsesfully rebuilt? lol Another job well done Christopher WTG! you did an especially nice job here I think we can all agree.
I keep trying to raise the bar for my restorations. They turn out nicer, but it's possibly a road to the nuthouse. Lol
That tractor came out great! I busted my ass laughing every time it cut to the swear jar, too relatable!
Thanks! I usually can hold my tongue when the camera is rolling, but there were a couple of genuine spots where the jar earned its money!
Nice startup 👍😎
A swear jar?? Lol.. I've got a 55 Gallon barrel outside the shop. It's for cans and bottles (Oregon has bottle deposit. Cost 10¢ a piece, but you can get it back)
So it's the swear jar.. probably owe more to it, but..lol..
The Purple Lady is looking good, running good... You done good Chris!!!!
Washers with rubber are great!! Definitely helps keep the screws from loosening up!!!
Happy Father's Day!!!
Thanks for the video!!
Thanks Ed! We have 10 cent deposit here too. My neighbor was an avid walker, and he bought himself a beater pickup with the money he got from picking up cans and bottles on his walks.
@@ThatOliverGuyChris lol.. ya, deposit and Oregon is the "Green State"...😂🤣 You could buy a new combine if you walked a few miles of road every day for a year 🙄
Congratulations 👍👍👍👍👍👍 she's a beautiful looking machine.
Beautiful Job well done... She's everything and more, purple....
Great job, great humor and well.... a remarkable colour.😉
Thank you for this video from Lower Saxony in the north of Germany.
Beautiful job on the 1850 restoration! What a great idea way to preserve and display a awesome piece of history! Happy Father's day!
Thank you very much!
I love the jar. I have a gallon jar 😂. Very nice job on the oliver
Man that turned out beautiful. Love the swear jar btw, that's hilarious.
I like the vintage intro👍
The swear jar had me in stitches! I love the purple! The paint looks a mile thick. Great work!
Thank you!
That was a pretty steady hand putting those decals on with all of us looking over your shoulder!! Hahaha, glad it came together without too many issues!
😁
@@ThatOliverGuyChris You obvious didn't build many models when you were a kid (too busy either working on the farm or in the dealership, I suppose). If you had, you would have been comfortable with the water transfer method for the decals. Looks great though! If she's still in high school, your daughter needs to take this sweetie to the "drive your tractor to school day" this year! Don't forget the magazine article which showed the original. Fits the paint job much better than the purple overlay to a meadow green Oliver in the movie.
Just as I’d thought maybe you’d get a refund from the jar… here comes Lincoln! Nice play there! 😂
I have a purple 1:16 scale one like yours. This color is awesome.
Looks GREAT ❣️❣️ 😀👍😀. That's fresh paint smells when running😊. Know you just have to find a small cooler to fit into the top battery hole😎🤠
and some wing head bolts to hold the lid down in place of the pan head screws.
@@ThatOliverGuyChris 👍😀
Great job on the Oliver 1850
That's not.a leak, she's marking her territory. LOL
Happy father's day Chris,
Nice work. Ofelia came out very nice! I get the swear jar working with fresh paint.
God bless, Boe
Now that is a beautiful tractor. I’d have to spend some money on a cover for it👍👍
It has a nice barn to live in.
Pretty darn nice looking!
Oh and Chris the color is growing on me. I like it more.
Very nice bro those decals make a big difference. Enjoyed your journey of this project too. Safe travels
Thank you!
wonderfull, great job.
Awesome tractor.
Best regards from Ostfriesland, Germany
Thank you very much!

Hello. the brands Oliver or White didn't exist or don't even exist with us. You can't find much about Wikipedia and the like. I think the tractors are very beautiful, is there an internet forum or a page where you can read properly about the tractors?
That is an awesome looking tractor
Amazing job sir, the attention to every little detail and patience that you have for the whole restoration process is awesome and the end result shows it. My hats off to you buddy. I’m alright through all the mechanical work but when it comes to paint and decals I will need a 5 gallon bucket for a swear jar. Also you handled the oil leak at the back of the engine very well(on camera anyway) myself in the same situation my neighbors would swear that they heard the elusive Bigfoot calling out for a mate.
LOL! At this point, let's just say the tractor might mark its territory for awhile.
I still have to finish my 1955 but I recently found a Cockshutt 1750 all original with no leaks, everything works and a little over 5000 hours for $4,000. It’s a diesel and has the 3 speed. And I’m almost done with the little Cockshutt 20. So my swear bucket will be filling up soon
Very nice job. Looks sharp. Also enjoyed the old dealer footage in the beginning, just listening to the sales pitch a lot of the old makes did is entertaining. Plus I saw a glimpse of a 190XT in that footage so I really enjoyed that. Lol.
Beautiful tractor very well done
Oh happy day!!
Great job on the restoration to match a special edition with a historical tie. I liked stitching the new purple into the old film - had to laugh!
I love that purple tractor don't know why but I do good job
Thank you. It's an eye catching color. That's why Oliver chose it all those years ago.
It turned out absolutely beautiful! Can't wait to see it in person.
Just 2 months!
Wow it turned out awesome. Thanks for taking us along on the adventure with great videos. Have a Blessed Father's Day
Thanks!
Wow she turned out awesome. A far far cry from where you started.
Props for all your hard work, and appreciate you taking us on a small sample of the journey.
Oh, the swear jar, comedic gold.
Thanks!
Looks amazing! Turned out better then new it looks like. Congratulations.
Thanks!
Looking very sharp Chris. Now onto fixing that oil leak 😔
It's a very minor drip, at this point I think I'm going to live with it.
Beautiful! nuf said.
My Dad & brothers I drove an early 1800 from the early 60’s to after 2000, I changed mechanical steering shaft out to the new hydro system
👍👍👍good morning
Good morning!
Awesome Turned out great I just got a Super 55 running yesterday after it had been sitting in a field for 20year My neighbour gave it to me for helping clean her property after her husband passed Its in rough shape But it's running again now Even has an Oliver loader on it
Love your swear jar. Very nice job on the restore. Great color. Thanks for the history on the color purple. Sounds so nice.
I liked how you check the gear shift EVERY time you start it no such thing as being too safe. Looks great congrats
Definitely a labor of love.
Love watching your Videos. I have seen the Purple Olivers had a show & you did a Great Job on it.
Beautiful paint and sounds awesome
Right on! Looks great!
Thanks!
Good job Chris! It looks awesome and really sounds good! You should be very proud!
Thanks!
My new favorite oliver looks bout like one my buddy has
O-yes purple is my favorite color..God Bless from Monroe Georgia...Stay Safe...
Wow, absolutely awesome! What a great story of the purple Oliver!
Sounds like you put a full race cam in her when she first started.
Many years ago, as a teenager, I was running my dads 1800 on a subsoiler. About mid afternoon, the engine got very quiet for a brief time then stopped. When I tried to restart it, you could hear air sucking into the exhaust. The dealer found the camshaft broken in three places, along with breaking the timing gears.
Wow! You've talked about the 310 sound. The 354 sound is an easy listen as well. Beautiful restoration. Now will we see it pulling a meadow green plow? Hope so. Had to laugh at the college fund. Thanks for the instructional vids. Happy Father's Day.
It looks amazing! Can't wait to see it working!
Well done ! Go and enjoy. Happy Father's Day to you..
That's one beautiful rare Oliver tractor love the the swear jar
Thanks!
The tractor turned out great! Decals are the greatest finishing touch to a nice paint job. I always used a misting of Windex to give me a little wiggle room when placing my decals.
That is a good looking tractor.
But I can see I need to get a swear jar, lol.
My daughter isn't going to have to apply for any scholarships at this pace!
Awesome job Chris. It looks great.
Looks very nice! Enjoyed watching you restore it!
Great job, it's a credit to you, thoroughly enjoyed watching them..... 👍👍
Ok. Thanks Chris
Looking pretty sharpe now that it is all done.
Nice job. Now, to wait for you to plow with it!
Kinda looks like a cotton candy colour on my screen.
Looks and sounds great
Damn fine job beautiful show tractor! You do great work!! Love the swear jar made me LOL every time !!
Thanks!
That intro even got my wife’s attention 😁 well done.
Thanks!
That's something to be proud of! It looks and sounds very nice, well done.
Thank you very much!
Happy Father's Day Chris. The 1850 looks great nice job
Thank you!
Turned out very nice! The swear jar was pretty funny. It’s a good video.
Awesome Job, Chris. She'll turn many heads. Get used to telling the back story.
Looks terrific! Nice job.
Thank you!
It looks and sounds great! Looks like you'll be able to put her in a 4th of July parade. Loved the evolution of the swear jar too, mine would probably be like that too!
Lovely job.
Thank you!
Really enjoy your videos, I like all your tractors but this one might be my favorite!!! Thanks for sharing!! Happy Fathers Day!!!
Thank you!
Looks awesome 👍👍
Wow! Awesome!
Hey Chris the tractor turned out really nice! I apply decals the same way, I have never used water. We apply alot of decals at work this same way. They make a plastic tool to remove air bubbles kind of like body filler applicators. I like the rubber backed washer on the thumb screw for the side panels. Have a great fathers day!
Thanks!
Sounds Beautiful, looks beautiful, IS beautiful. Congratulations! Dear Lord, what have we allowed to happen to those perfect American values espoused in that old Oliver "Color Blind Plow" commercial? Great reminder.
Thank you so much!
Looks great Chris. Like that alternator too. Glad you got it done it's been a long project.
Yeah, it sat in the corner way too long. I'm already looking forward to the next one.
If it would have been me, I would have been putting $10 dollar bills in the swear jar each time. Lol The purple machine is alive!! Awesome job Chris. I really enjoyed the intro from Oliver. Very cool. Take care & stay safe. Cheers PS Is it me but the lights have a purple glow in the vid. Cool effect.
Good eye. I'm going to have to make a night time video to show them off.
That’ll be cool!
You did one very fine job on that tractor! You certainly have an eye for detail. This has been a neat series of videos to watch!
That 354 looks to have a pretty clean exhaust even when cold. It sounds tight.
I totally agree about Dumont's for decals, they are excellent. You did a fantastic job of applying them.
Thanks for all the excellent videos!
Thank you very much!
Need to use 569 loctite for the hydraulic fittings. No leaks. No need to torque tighten.
G'day Chris congrats its alive. 😂🤣 Swear jar that would be full be the end of the day for me lol
Thanks Murphy! That's why I had to switch to the Benjamins. There wasn't room enough in the jar. LOL
@@ThatOliverGuyChris lol
Chris you did alot of nice work on that tractor but I will stick with my 806 farmall.
Lookin' good Chris! I really wish that Olivers were a bit more prevalent down south. I'd love to find me one some day. Thanks again!
Very nice, she's a beaut 👍
❤️❤️❤️ love the Swear jar.
I’d need a big one.
Lol! I've seen what you name your tractors!
It’s like a brand new tractor!
Awesome job man.
NICE....!!!!!
I was at the HPOCA in Mt. Pleasant, IA a guy told the story about talking to the fellow that put decals on at the Charles City Factory. He ask him where the decals were supposed to be placed. his answer was " Were ever I felt like putting them that day".
Supposedly there were templates for decal placement and other instructions for paint and detail work. I've also been told some of that went by the wayside depending on how busy things were at the factory. It's not uncommon to see a build card that has notes about missing decals at final inspection.
The swear jar 😂
