I LOVE this… they have him on the roster for a reason…. Heck… i’m not sure if anybody remembers two seasons ago Curtis Joseph was caught walking in the arena …with his equipment, ready to play….
The recovery from hip surgery is quick, and you feel like you’ve got brand new legs afterward (unless you were in terrible shape before hand of course). Don’t be shocked if Murray is great.
Hildeby's development seems to have plateaued in much the same way that Keith Petruzzelli's did in his 2nd year with the Marlies so calling up Murray makes so much sense. He will only be here presumably for this season if he can stay healthy and regains his form so they might as well use him. Murray has already cleared waivers this season so he can play 10 games (I think) on emergency recall, then, 9 additional games on regular recall before needing to pass through waivers again. I believe that both types of recall have a 30 day on the roster limit as well? If anyone knows for sure please let me know.
Huh? Did pukeruzzelli win an NHL game? Last preseason when they sent hildeby down and kept him up when it was clear he’d never be an nhl goalie was boneheaded
I hope good health and all that pray the goalies can be healthy, get healthy, stay healthy, but the goalie situation in Toronto is not good imho. Time will tell.

underrated goalie - he is very sound with the fundamentals - always square to the puck - love it

Speaking from a pens fan experience, enjoy the optimism!
Murray is only 30, 2 cups and 2 brand new hips who knows
You had me until 2 new hips
Big performance for a trade Matt!!
I just hope Murray doesn't get hurt!

Plays like a stud and gets dealt at the deadline back in the show.

Wouldn't it be better for him to play tomorrow? Woll on gm 2 of a b2b? This team's been SLOPPY lately. Just waiting for another injury.
I’m thinking he’s a bit of trade bait. Show him off, make him look good, gets more return than an AHL starter would.
@RobbieG17 nah, Hildeby isn't ready. They need Murray rn.
@ oh I’m not saying they’ll trade him tomorrow. They’d at least wait until after Stolarz is back.
don't think we need him really
