People will buy these cheap pets and then abandon them after realizing the upkeep is 500x more expensive. neither the demand market nor the supply market is doing justice to these animals. it is cruel no matter how much you sugar-coat it or become desensitised.

I actually work in a rescue organization for cats, and I can definitely say that those cats are depressed. Kittens that age would be playing around with each other but since they have no room to move around, they just sleep. We've rescued depressed animals before, all they need is an open space, a sweet owner, and maybe a few other cats to be around.
Imagine if you are instead of those animals Even in foreign countries they have better place and storage for such animals India should implement stronger animal protection laws
