    Hi Everyone, I spoke with a representative from Fude Beauty and they kindly let me know that their shipping is typically only 5 - 10 days. They also have a members program (reward system) you can sign up for on their site. There is a referral link as part of that program (Give $10, Get $10) so I am adding my link here (prz.io/ZOOz3npS5) and to the description box if anyone is interested.

    My favorite brush for applying cream eyeshadow is Sonia G's Worker Two...white goat hair and wide, (a bit bigger than the Soft Shader you mentioned) it really lays the product down beautifully. And my other super fave is the Sonia G Crease One which has the shape of a pencil brush but it's larger, it can be used like a pencil brush to work shadow under the lower lid line but also in your crease and is especially wonderful if you have hooded eyes. These brushes are so soft yet so firm and get the job done. Love your picks , Lexi!

    Happy Saturday Lexi! Your descriptions and reasons why you like each brush are excellent and helpful - easy to understand. Definitely not too long! Love that you are doing this series as I have become so interested in fude and purchasing a collection. Looking forward to more brush videos! Do you know if you are supposed to wash brushes before you use them? I started using one from CDJapan without washing it because the shape is so great and I was afraid it would change after I washed it - and I have never washed and kept fude shapes before! Also, do you like the Westman Atelier eyeshadow brushes?

    • @LexiJong
      @LexiJong  4 года назад +1

      Thank you! Yes you should wash your brushes first. Brushes can “bloom” after washing so if you want the same shape which is probably a bit more compressed, use a brush guard when drying them. My water is kind of hard so my brushes don’t bloom a lot. I like the Westman Atelier brushes a lot. I have the blender, baby blender, and both eyeshadow brushes. I think they are very expensive for synthetic brushes but they are high quality. They work well and have a nice aesthetic. The blender brush is so close to the Chantecaille buff and blur that i would go with that instead but the others i have are more unique. If i were traveling, i would definitely take the WA brushes with me because not only do they have short handles but they are so versatile, particularly the eyeshadow brushes. The baby blender works great for cream blushes and highlights. Gucci Westman actually recommends the full size blender for the highlights and bronzers. The eyeshadow brushes work well with powder and cream products. They are better as multipurpose eyeshadow brushes when you want to use just one or two brushes for a look.

    I'll definitely add the Sonia G Master Face to my wishlist. Also good to know that the Chantecaille Buff and Blur is comparable to the WA.
    Takeda is another Japanese brush brand I enjoy. I was lucky enough to be gifted a set a few years ago by my mother in law after a trip to Japan. That started me on my Fude journey.

      I think the rephr core set that is on sale right now is a great starter set! I am not sure what the shipping is to you though. If you can get them for half off, great deal! Otherwise, i like Sonia G. Picking up a few from the Beautylish event would be a great start. Sonia G brushes are constantly oos so you kind of want to pick what you can. The sky set (blue handles) are my most used) but i don’t have all of the pro face brushes yet. I think any pro or sky brush you can get is great to start with. The reason i would go with rephr or Sonia G is because the bristles are goat hair and they work well with pretty much everything. All of the rephr brushes are undyed and can be used with powders our creams. The Sonia G have a mix, white bristles can be used with anything and the darker bristles should be powder only. The Sonia G are a little softer than the rephr imo. There is no price savings for buying a set of Sonia G. Please let me know if you need any more advice!
