I remember when your channel came across on my feed. My first response, beautiful! Then, oh I could never do any of this. So funny! I just started a similar project before even seeing this video. I cut suede fringe from an old skirt, and topped it with bands of floral trim. I tried to sew the sleeves this way, but ended up taking the bottom sleeve seams apart so I could have an easier sewing experience...will sew them back after sewing the fringe and trim. Though I didn't see this actual video before, you've been my inspiration for thinking outside the box and for crazy, creative layering. Thank you!!

I love your blue jean jacket i came across your website the other day my passion for sewing started when i was 13 yrs old my Dad didn't have a lot of money so i was happy with a needle & thread as long as i had that i was happy just as long as i was sewing my passion for sewing is still today but have up grated a lot since then i was making hairbows for my first granddaughter all her hairbows were one of a kind then i started making American Doll Clothes cuz i bought her a American Girl Doll on her 4th birthday & now that i've seen your purse tutorials i've got to make some of them THANK YOU TRACY FOR INSPIRATION OF KEEPING MY SEWING SKILLS UP GRATED EVEN MORE

@@tmyershandmade978 Just finished it ❤🥳 instead of stitching on the fringing ( I did the same measurement as you 12 inches length and half an inch wide strips ) I ended up permanently fabric glueing it instead of stitching it so it was a bit easier down the narrow sleeves , it may come apart a few washes down the track but I’ll worry about that if it happens, thank you for this lovely tutorial I’ve got the same jacket in leather never thought about making it in denim ❤

I really like this ...I think I like the fringe both ways ...I guess if I want the flat fringe it would be a job to iron it after washing...but it's adorable...love your videos❤❤

Do you have the option to cover or disengage your feed dogs and use an embroidery foot to be able to “sew sideways” when you get to sleeves?? That is a game changer! Can also be used on pants when making patches or sewing material on the top of pant legs.

I think a medium weight cotton my work better than light weight. Black tshirt fabric might be cute, it doesn't fray.🤗❤❤❤

well I can tell you what.. I spent an hour giving my jean fringe a good haircut.. ( made some for a purse.. eeeeee .. have the jacket all ready to go.. but is a great CK with side pockets and I am dreading losing them erggg) may leave alone and just distress really well at edges... orrrrrrrr find another one.. and leave the pside pocket jean jacket for another idea... wow I had me a pile of tangle haaa
