it’s been less than 2 months since belly and conrad’s breakup and belly has only been in cousins for 5/6 days. in one week she went from crying over conrad in her car, saying her chest hurts everytime she thinks of conrad to kissing jeremiah at conrad’s college.
It has only been a week during this season but Belly did have feelings for Jeremiah last season too but she wanted Conrad more. I think right now Jeremiah is the better choice because he will fight for her, actually talk it out when they're fighting and actually communicate.

Belly is messy, but part of this is Conrad's fault. He has never approached the relationship with Belly at the mature level it needs to have for how complicated it is. He underestimated Belly's feelings for Jeremiah (which is likely because she didn't go into much detail about the fling she had with him that summer) and he expected her to always be there waiting for him to get to where he needed to be. Like did the writers forget what they wrote like not only with the breakup situation but also with Jeremiah saying that Belly wasn't there for him when they clearly showed her calling and being ignored, like he literally asked to be warned when she came so he could purposefully ignore her. Plus the way that Belly is constantly gaslighting herself into believing that she was completely over conrad when like less than a week ago girly was screaming crying throwing up over conrad and the fact that she wasn't over him like GIRL WHAT!!
This season actually annoyed me because her picking Jeremiah is such an unnecessary detour when it’s so obvious the show is centred/ grounded in belly and Conrads love story even when they aren’t together. Season 2 should have ended with her picking herself and then her and Conrad reconnecting in season 3 with Jeremiah finding someone and getting his own happy ending. They are now going to have to wrap this story up in 10 episodes next season and considering how messy this season was with 8 episodes it’s just not going to be good.

Yes, Conrad is endgame, as it should be. Conrad is misunderstood and no one wants to give him the space he needs to work things out within himself.

No i feel like Belly's reaction to conrad was so weird??? My biggest guess is that he saw them eating each others faces right outside his window so he decided to take it all back. I think knowing how the book series ends gives us an unconscious bias towards rooting for the endgame (Bonrad), but if we ignore that information then we'd see how Jeremiah is the better choice in so many ways. Jere is always there for her, willing to sacrifice his own feelings/happiness for her, consistent, communicates, defends her and her best friend. Yes, Conrad may love her but that's irrelevant when he constantly hurts her. Friends to lovers is a superior romantic trope and much more realistic than the whole hopeless romantic act which becomes exhausting and toxic. Also, a lot of Belly's feelings for Conrad stem from the infatuation of her crush finally liking her back but feelings fluctuate and end of the day its who brings out the best in you and that's Jer. The last completely ruined Jeremiah's character so that Bonrad could be endgame and it reinforces a horrible pattern of refusing to let go of your past. Both belly and Conrad led people on first season and was willing to cheat when they almost kissed before Jere stopped it with fireworks. Jere never did that so him "cheating" is outta no where. And if Conrad truly loved Belly he'd let her go and give her the chance to come back on her own. He always makes things so messy. Tired of people making excuses for his behavior as if it wasn't Jeremiah's mom too. Jer deserves better than all of this tbh.
I totally agree with you. After reading the third book I couldn't be Team Bonrad. Like it's ok if they get their ending everyone is looking forward to, but I felt they did too much at the expense of ruining Jeremiah's character that was just unnecessary. I just hate the trope of the main character having to end up with the crush they had an infatuation with forever that didn't notice them and was mean to them vs being able to mature and choose the person right in front of them that is expressing their feelings for them. That is what made me Team Jeremiah and by the middle of season 2 and book 3 I just didn't care for Belly and Jere to end up together. I just want Jeremiah to be happy and not lose that spark he always had by doing to him what they did in book 3.

And had no obligation towards Conrad once they were no longer in a relationship (especially given the emotionally abusive way he treats her all of the time). The only person who had an obligation for their relationship as brothers was Jeremiah, his brother. Conrad needs to grow up (ironically what he says/projects onto everyone else on the show something he has a tendency to do when he’s going through something). He needs therapy and to not be in a relationship with anyone so he san figure out how to handle his feelings in a healthier way.

Belly needs to learn to take accountability, verbally communicate and consider things before jumping to conclusions and being impulsive. My issue with Jere is that he insterted himself when he saw Belly connecting with Conrad and physically attempted to stop things from happening so as to get a head start. He then kissed her when she was vulnerable and sad about her situation with Conrad and was surprised when she still loved Conrad and chose him. Theres a difference in being in love vs wanting to be chosen. Belly should have respected him enough to communicate. However, if he loves and cares for her the way be believes, he should have been honest about physically interfering. That didn't seem "selfless" it felt more self serving and ego driven while simultaneously having feelings for her. He put himself first while putting himself out there and then had unearned entitlement that in my eyes led to resentment. I'm glad Belly and Jere get to date to see if they're compatible or for each other. With regards to Conrad, I appreciate that the show expresses his faults and holds him accountable so he can course correct. I want that for Jere. I also want him to find someone he would do anything for(in a healthy way) and vice versa. I want hime to have a mutual endgame. I don't like that Belly and Conrad's relationship is in flashbacks. I wish it were in real time. Belly has a different set of standards and sense of entitlement when it comes to Conrad. This season actually annoyed me because her picking Jeremiah is such an unnecessary detour when it’s so obvious the show is centred/ grounded in belly and Conrads love story even when they aren’t together. Season 2 should have ended with her picking herself and then her and Conrad reconnecting in season 3 with Jeremiah finding someone and getting his own happy ending. They are now going to have to wrap this story up in 10 episodes next season and considering how messy this season was with 8 episodes it’s just not going to be good.

I think knowing how the book series ends gives us an unconscious bias towards rooting for the endgame (Bonrad), but if we ignore that information then we'd see how Jeremiah is the better choice in so many ways. Jere is always there for her, willing to sacrifice his own feelings/happiness for her, consistent, communicates, defends her and her best friend. Yes, Conrad may love her but that's irrelevant when he constantly hurts her. Friends to lovers is a superior romantic trope and much more realistic than the whole hopeless romantic act which becomes exhausting and toxic. Also, a lot of Belly's feelings for Conrad stem from the infatuation of her crush finally liking her back but feelings fluctuate and end of the day its who brings out the best in you and that's Jer. The last completely ruined Jeremiah's character so that Bonrad could be endgame and it reinforces a horrible pattern of refusing to let go of your past. Both belly and Conrad led people on first season and was willing to cheat when they almost kissed before Jere stopped it with fireworks. Jere never did that so him "cheating" is outta no where. And if Conrad truly loved Belly he'd let her go and give her the chance to come back on her own. He always makes things so messy. Tired of people making excuses for his behavior as if it wasn't Jeremiah's mom too. Jer deserves better than all of this tbh.
I totally agree with you. After reading the third book I couldn't be Team Bonrad. Like it's ok if they get their ending everyone is looking forward to, but I felt they did too much at the expense of ruining Jeremiah's character that was just unnecessary. I just hate the trope of the main character having to end up with the crush they had an infatuation with forever that didn't notice them and was mean to them vs being able to mature and choose the person right in front of them that is expressing their feelings for them. That is what made me Team Jeremiah and by the middle of season 2 and book 3 I just didn't care for Belly and Jere to end up together. I just want Jeremiah to be happy and not lose that spark he always had by doing to him what they did in book 3.

they’ve renewed it for another 2 seasons so even if we get book 3 adapted into season 3 and conrad and belly get together again there’s still another 4th season so like i’m assuming we’re getting a different ending than what we got in the books👀

And had no obligation towards Conrad once they were no longer in a relationship (especially given the emotionally abusive way he treats her all of the time). The only person who had an obligation for their relationship as brothers was Jeremiah, his brother. Conrad needs to grow up (ironically what he says/projects onto everyone else on the show something he has a tendency to do when he’s going through something). He needs therapy and to not be in a relationship with anyone so he san figure out how to handle his feelings in a healthier way.

Belly needs to learn to take accountability, verbally communicate and consider things before jumping to conclusions and being impulsive.
My issue with Jere is that he insterted himself when he saw Belly connecting with Conrad and physically attempted to stop things from happening so as to get a head start. He then kissed her when she was vulnerable and sad about her situation with Conrad and was surprised when she still loved Conrad and chose him. Theres a difference in being in love vs wanting to be chosen.
Belly should have respected him enough to communicate. However, if he loves and cares for her the way be believes, he should have been honest about physically interfering. That didn't seem "selfless" it felt more self serving and ego driven while simultaneously having feelings for her. He put himself first while putting himself out there and then had unearned entitlement that in my eyes led to resentment.
I'm glad Belly and Jere get to date to see if they're compatible or for each other.
With regards to Conrad, I appreciate that the show expresses his faults and holds him accountable so he can course correct. I want that for Jere. I also want him to find someone he would do anything for(in a healthy way) and vice versa. I want hime to have a mutual endgame.
I don't like that Belly and Conrad's relationship is in flashbacks. I wish it were in real time.
