Yes, you’re exactly right! Totally not service friendly in the least bit. I just tell the homeowner it’s easier to replace the whole system,,, I just give them a good friendly deal to avoid all of that. But god bless you for taking that on👍
hey man what was your symptoms? on this fuj haycon its not responding to the controller whatsoever. 0 lights on the board also. it will run in manual mode if pressed on the head. sometimes heat and sometimes cool mode. any ideas what it could be? my next step is tech support but not looking forward to it.... thanks for any help and your vid
What brands do you like? After spending some time in my Fujitsu mini split and watching this video, I came to the same conclusion that you did about this brand...
Just replaced an LG (5 years old) with a Fujitsu. I’ll either try a Mitsubishi next (just a couple hundred dollars more for the equipment) or I’ll buy the least expensive one that I can find (Goodman, etc) and just plan on replacing it if/when it breaks. Trying to get them fixed is a nightmare. No one a) wants to fix them b) knows how to fix them c) can get the parts. Better to just swap it out with a new system.
Mini Splits are great until they need major maintenance performed or a breakdown has occurred. This has always been my concern if Tech Support says replace a part and that part does not fix it, who should pay the labor, I believe the customer should, but then again the customer could be right as well, why should they pay if the service company did not fix it the first time.
They are all junk, because we have a bunch of greedy, corrupt, outsourcing, hypocritical suits in the USA. The same ones that don’t want anyone crossing the border, but it’s okay to bring tractor/trailer loads of junk into the USA.
I’m not a huge fan of mini splits either, each one is totally different from the next and the ones I have found to be the most serviceable and user friendly are the Mitsubishi’s
I agree I only recommend Mitsubishi or daikan when it comes to quality. They all are efficient but they deftly all aren’t quality and this video shows. That is a horrible board design and I could imagine the pia that is to troubleshoot due to the orientation
I don’t work on anyone else’s mini split installs or help DIY’ers ever again. I’ve been burned twice. Stop taking crap calls or don’t complain. Walk away. Otherwise you are like YT’er HVAC Guy in South Georgia.
That company makes pretty high end electronics, from what I've noticed? Was going to ask what brand you'd recommend, but at least I know to stay away from this brand? Thanks.

The upside down board, sounds like fun. Some customers can be unreasonable. As though you snuck in and broke their stuff before we showed up.
Board needs to be upside down so the heat sink can be in the airstream to keep the pcb cool
Fushitsu. I just had the tech guy try to repair the indoor fan unit again and the fan motor still hums. Glad its a rental because its going back.
Thanks for deleting the part I actually need. I still have no idea how to get this pos board out

The intro is IM "Golden Years", right? One of my favorite songs of all time, including "Run to the Hills".
Wasted Years

Did you install a surge protector??? All of that junk electronics need one.
Great job!!! Do you see any LGs?
Been a couple years. Not that many in the area.

You won me over at 173,000 Phillips head screws😉
We installed a bunch of grees. Same junk. Looking to change brands. What brand do you recommend?

Same problem I’m going through , what a poor design , Cheers from Australia my friend
Thanks for the input.
I was told Fujitsu is one of the best?
I have one of these that needs a board. Please help!!
How do you define "too much longer"?
3-5 yrs maybe
13:04 Busting out the meat hammers
I feel your pain !!

Ok Ralph 😎
@@realSamAndrew did you read “Mitsubishi” in his voice too? Lol
You're right. You can literally pull a Mitsubishi blower wheel in 10 minutes.
@@ThermalDynamicSevices you got it, Steven. But you don't need to use an alternate name anymore 🤣.
@@realSamAndrew 😂😂
Mitshubishi all the way

'FuShitsu'…perfect. Just did a board yesterday. Wanted to kick the engineer who designed it right in the pecker.
