I have had both the pleasure and displeasure of owning the 9s Pro. The hardware and design of the device was what drew me to buying it but I had to return it shortly. What made me return the device was the software, selfie camera, under-display fingerprint reader and the screen. Let's start with the software. If you plan to use this device more than just a gaming phone and an actual daily driver then here are some bad news. The usability of the software makes you realise how badly it is made for the average user when it comes to daily use. There a lot of missing small features. It is also very bad at sustaining the 6500 mah battery overnight too, I keep losing around 5-6% every night which is around 8-9h. This is compared to my previous device (Realme GT 5G), and no, the gaming mode was not turned on nor was the fans and rgb lights. Another bad thing about the software is language, I changed the language of the system to swedish and still half of the options are in the english language. So unless you plan on using this device in english, do not buy it. We move on to the next point, which is the selfie camera. I do not take a lot of selfies at all but the quality of the camera translate to how horrendous the face unlock feature is. You have to have the camera at a certain angle and at a certain light for it to work, and even then it works around 30% of the time. The under display fingerprint reader is also the same, it works perhaps 50% of the time which is absolutely horrible. Mind you, I am camparing it to my previous device which cost me around 300 eur instead of the 650 eur 9s Pro and it beat the 9s Pro in all of the points I mentioned. Last but not least is the battery. Sure it has a 6500mah and fast charging but it is not efficient with its consumtion. I played slay the spire on it and the device would get very hot with the fan on AND the battery drains very fast. Bonus bad point, if you use your phone during night before bed with the brightness on low then the screen is very bright still. When you scroll through dark content like an imagr containing dark colours, the dark content of that said image would bleed with the scrolling. The phone I am currently using is the Oneplus 12R and it is vastly superior in every way. Sure it has a smaller battery and an older processor but I did not notice any performance change. The battery is also way more efficient. Sorry for the long rant but I hope people read my mini 20 days review of the 9S Pro before buying from this brand.

@AdamRania-cm3im unfortunately not, and he doesn't mention a PWM free DC dimming mode. What it does have is very high frequency PWM and he talks about it, as many reviewers do, as though making it high frequency makes it okay... But in my book that doesn't make it okay. What reviewers sometimes seem to not realize is that regardless of how high frequency it is, the bright flashes are still visible to our eyes and cells that have light receptors, and brighter than they appear, and are still doing damage. And also, what matters more is not the frequency but the amplitude of brightness fluctuations... Or effectively how wide the black bands are that flash across the screen where pixels are turned off. In this measure this phone might not be too bad, it's hard to say without further oscilloscope testing... But if you ask me higher frequency could make it worse in practice not better. Some of the better options I've come across in my research for having a flatter amplitude curve and therefore less actual flicker, in case you or anyone else reading this comment is interested, are the OnePlus 12 and Xiaomi 14 Pro and 14 Ultra... Also some Xiaomi subsidiary brand phones like the Poco X6 Pro and F6 and F6 Pro... And some other phones from Vivo and maybe Iqoo are not so bad... (and the next gen versions of all these listed will probably be about the same)... Also the iPhone 15 and 16 and Plus versions (but not so much pro models although they're not too bad either relatively speaking). So there are lots of phones that have somewhat less crazy PWM than others... Notebookcheck is a half decent reference for comparing phones

It's a bulky phone, with powerful performance, battery, & screen In terms of weight & dimensions.. it's nearly impossible to hold it comfortably with 1 hand But being $1100 is a thing to consider.. with $1100, U can buy an entry-level PC & play serious games I'll go any day with $500-ish upper med tier phone with slightly less hardware (8 Gen 3s or even 8 Gen 2).. $1100 is a silly thing to pay for a gaming phone, but's that just my opinion
@NJS-m6j why anyone play while walk tho? Lol Phones games are boring mostly.. 95% of them are pay 2 win with trash graphics.. or some useless online battle royal gener I used to have PS Vita, which was a real handheld console, the games was really nice with some RPG..etc but that was like before 10 years.. before battle royals games or pay 2 win game was a thing on phones
@gamersonlylol saying a gaming phone cost $1100 is expensive & not a wise decision is not a hate If you can't handle some logical comments on the internet, then just leave Refusing the idea of "Critical Comment" for overpriced phones doesn't mean people are haters, it's just means you're a blind fan.. or a dumb with deep pockets And personally I can afford any expensive phone, but that doesn't mean "I will" because am not convinced as a customer to pay $1100 for a bulky overpriced Chinese phone with only 2 years of OS update & meh camera

If only they put a decent sensor like 2 years old flagship Sony sensor instead of 3 💩 sensors, or even the damn pocofone's sensor, we could use Google camera to tremendously improve the camera scenario on these RM phones. At this point this just seems they don't care.
Nobody cares about the dam seflie camera. We care more about the placement of the processor. Place it more in the center to make it easier to find a fan with trigger buttons for it and that it will fit comfortably in the center.

It's a bulky phone, with powerful performance, battery, & screen
In terms of weight & dimensions.. it's nearly impossible to hold it comfortably with 1 hand
But being $1100 is a thing to consider.. with $1100, U can buy an entry-level PC & play serious games
I'll go any day with $500-ish upper med tier phone with slightly less hardware (8 Gen 3s or even 8 Gen 2).. $1100 is a silly thing to pay for a gaming phone, but's that just my opinion
Ok bring your PC we walk while gaming
@NJS-m6j why anyone play while walk tho? Lol
Phones games are boring mostly.. 95% of them are pay 2 win with trash graphics.. or some useless online battle royal gener
I used to have PS Vita, which was a real handheld console, the games was really nice with some RPG..etc but that was like before 10 years.. before battle royals games or pay 2 win game was a thing on phones
The price is insane, you can get a device with 8 gen 2 for less than 300
@@Jack_Sparrow131 if you wanna be a hater. Then just leave
@gamersonlylol saying a gaming phone cost $1100 is expensive & not a wise decision is not a hate
If you can't handle some logical comments on the internet, then just leave
Refusing the idea of "Critical Comment" for overpriced phones doesn't mean people are haters, it's just means you're a blind fan.. or a dumb with deep pockets
And personally I can afford any expensive phone, but that doesn't mean "I will" because am not convinced as a customer to pay $1100 for a bulky overpriced Chinese phone with only 2 years of OS update & meh camera
still waiting for redmagic to move the soc to the middle like the rog phone so that the temperature of the surface is spread out more evenly rather than burning my left thumb
maybe once they do that i will buy their next phone
If only they put a decent sensor like 2 years old flagship Sony sensor instead of 3 💩 sensors, or even the damn pocofone's sensor, we could use Google camera to tremendously improve the camera scenario on these RM phones. At this point this just seems they don't care.
How good is in video editing?
The only gaming phone 📱
With that price point they should've made it with better camera
The only issue with devices are software updates
I just received updates on my redmagic 8s pro
he meant the low yearsof duration for updates, iirc redmagic has only 2 years os updates and 3 years security updates @@axepro3053
@@axepro3053yeah it is supposed to be supported for 3 years.😊
Nobody cares about the dam seflie camera. We care more about the placement of the processor. Place it more in the center to make it easier to find a fan with trigger buttons for it and that it will fit comfortably in the center.
sad that it's not available in i dia
Sweet phone
I wish they make something different. I don't mind gaming phone being a little wider like tablet
Z70 ultra will be a better choice for hybrid use ( both for gaming and normal day activities)
Could you explain why?
@@denniscebolinha1451 Because of IP68 rating and better cameras and same capabilities for gaming 🤓
@@maxoo._But RedMagic has Diablo mode though
The 10 pro plus only has a 6500 mah battery 😭😭 otherwise nice video man!
Sorry for the mistake. Pro is 7050mAh, and Pro+ is 6500mAh.
@@GizmoChinaTube no mistake...10 Pro+ has 7050mah and 120W charging and "normal" 10 Pro has 6500mah with 80W charging
?
I just need this phone as a gift
cause i can't afford it now 😂
Need advice, planning to buy the 9s Pro coz of black friday 636$ OR should I wait for the 10 for who knows how much
Wait for 10pro+
@ yeh did some digging and the prices at basically thesame, might as well wait
bloody heck, this phone is same weight as my s23ultra with like 50% more battery capacity.
Wait people dont buy from a third party app its more cheap to buy it in the official website
WoW~ What a powerbank😂
Keep reading from the screen 👍
The only downside is it only gets 2 years OS updates. If that bothers you just get a latest samsung phones as those get 7 years.
It's a gaming phone. Most RedMagic phones will be outdated in a couple of years in terms of performance because they annually get massive upgrades in terms of CPU, display and battery.
Other downside , looks a bit thick?

Problems:
Front camera horrible
No e Sim so bad for traveling
Problems with some google apps
Fingerprint medium
International version but still some Chinese symbols in the version etc
At night it's not a good main camera
Pros
Battery life
Display
Charging speed the best
Some points and it could be the best phone on the market
And updates os zero! ONLY security patches! Shame
Chinese Version Better Or Global Version ?
Wow

I'm super excited for samsung when they announce upcoming S25 still with 4,000mah battery. Z fold 7 with 4,400mah. So proud
