I have a 2018 1100rr and am having a hard time justifying the price of this exhaust. I like that it doesn't require a remap and it isn't overly loud all of the time, but $2,000.00 is double the price of the SC1-R (SC1-R will also need a remap +$500.00). Very nice exhaust, I believe you made the right decision.
Very good exhaust fitment video. Very nice bike. Did you notice any performance change, like bike is smoother, or bike backfiring on overrun with a closed throttle, or fuelling no longer right.
Great vid , helped me a lot with my own installation. Still I'm still a bit puzzled how you managed to adjust the cables with valves in open position while the actuator is in closed position with contact off. At 9:33 and 13.45 we can clearly see the pulley in full open position (index touching the stop). So how did you manage to put the valve actuator in open position. I adjusted my cables with valve in closed position and ended up with cable adjuster in totally different position... also I'm missing a bit of travel to have the valve fully open and if I change the cable adjustment to get that full opening then the valve doesn't close totally anymore....
Sorry I took so long to get back to you. I didn't end up with any problems. I installed the cables into the actuator with the power off. When I powered up the first time, the actuator cycled once and ended up fully closed. It fully opens when giving it the beans.
I am circling back around to this because I am actually about to pick up one of these dream machines!!! Mine is the RR version but I don’t care… I’m so excited! I would like to go with this exhaust can but another guy on here mentioned something about PADS system? Did you have to do anything other than just bolt this on?
Congrats on your new purchase. The RR will serve you well. I'm not sure that guy new much about this subject. There is nothing to do other than install the can, including no need for fuel re-mapping; this is why I selected this can. The only thing you have to do is remove the cables from the flapper valve on old can, re-install on new can. Good luck.
@@COMMANDERREVZ Hey Commander, you have to calibrate the flap inside the exhaust with PADS at you dealer, it just needs about 10 minutes. This is necessary for the correct functionality to hit the end points.
@@COMMANDERREVZ hi thanks for your reply yes i did mean silencer baffle sorry and im thinking the same i know the carbon akra has a screw behind a grommit but nothing similar on this one
I was torn about the black or the silver. I'm glad I went silver. It cost a few bucks more, but I think you're right. I ordered it through my local Aprilia dealership. It wasn't cheap.
@@COMMANDERREVZ that's what I thought, on thei website they say this slip on is available only throught dealers and I think that sucks, I'd order it from their site and install it myself but oh well
No. That is one of the main reasons why I chose this slip on over others. Aprilia even gives you a certificate that validates their approval of this system.
COMMANDER REVZ you should still activate the pre factory installed flash. Speak to an approved dealer ...... nothing to do but activate with a code you then have race on your dash
Oh..ich muss den Motorradfahrern zeigen wie man 3 Schrauben installiert, und nen Auspuff Anbaut.Sowaa ist Handwerklich für nen Ami natürlich schon ne Gesellenprüfung.
Nicely done. I've had my 2019 Tuono Factory for 10 days now and this will probably be one of my first mods.
The stock pipe is decent, but the Akra is even better!!!
just remove the exhaust flapper valve cables

Thanks. There are louder pipes out there, but I didn't want it to be obnoxious.
Very helpful video, I'm also going to install my exhaust pipe myself
Nice Video.....
And Nice Akrapovic Exhaust Sound......
AWESOME..........!!!!!!!
👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome video 11:00 "This is the russian version of our blue loctite" 🤣😂🤣 Akropovic is slovenian 😆 or as you call it maripovic - Subscribed
Thanks! Sorry for the late response.
Daaaaamn, that Moripovick sounds good
Ya, subtle, but much more throaty.
$2000...I mean cmon Akraprofit
LOL!!!
look at those tires you dont mess around thats a beautiful bike I think 8 would get one of those bikes but the nearest support is 400 miles away
That is a major issue. That's too far to expect to enjoy owning one of these things.
Hi you are supposed to put the aluminum washer back on from the origonal silencer, looks much neater.
I was thinking that, but it is really thick so wasn't sure bolt was long enough. I will re-visit that. I agree that would look better. Thanks.
Very good exhaust fitment video.
Very nice bike.

Hard to say. I did this mod after only 200 miles or so. If there is any improvement, it is very little. The fueling is still right.
Gutes Video 👍 thx
Thanks!
So nice sound !
Thanks dude! I'm happy with it...although costly.
Can see there's a big difference considering the cost

Hello. How did you know how much tension to put on the exhaust valve cables? How do you know if the valve opens completely? Thanks. Great bike...
If you adjust the collets of both cables to the same length that the original had, you will be OK.

The bike snarls like a lion with the Akrapovic. But stock one isn't that bad too.
Agreed. The sound improvement is there, but hardly worth the $1,400.
Did you remove baffle have the same exhaust but cant see where screw for baffle is
If you're talking about a silencer baffle, I have not removed it. Not sure if it is removable. I'd have to look into that.
@@COMMANDERREVZ hi thanks for your reply yes i did mean silencer baffle sorry and im thinking the same i know the carbon akra has a screw behind a grommit but nothing similar on this one
As far as I know, there is no removable baffle on this one. Personally, I"m fine with that... can't stand obnoxious pipes.
A lot of work for such a slipon
It really wasn't that bad. If I had not been filming, this would be about an hour job at the most.
Akra sounds like a Ninja 300
Sounds even more impressive in real life.
Did you also consider the carbon ackra?
I did. I settled on this one... maybe slightly better looking for this bike???
where did you buy this? I can only find the full black one and I think this one is 100% nicer than the other

Where did you purchase it and what was the part number ordered?
I'm in the Minneapolis area. I ordered it from Leo's South in Lakeville. I show the part number is in the video when I open the box.
Does it requires to rewrite ECU or change to RACE ECU?
Thanks to answer.
No. That is one of the main reasons why I chose this slip on over others. Aprilia even gives you a certificate that validates their approval of this system.

He literally said it all in the video smh.
16:25 Exhaust
Yep!
I cant tell was it louder or same as stock?
Not really louder, just more "race" sounding. It really howls nicely; especially at the higher revs.
Can you remove the db killer?
Not that I am aware of.
Oh..ich muss den Motorradfahrern zeigen wie man 3 Schrauben installiert, und nen Auspuff Anbaut.Sowaa ist Handwerklich für nen Ami natürlich schon ne Gesellenprüfung.
Need to remap?
No, this is why I spent the extra $ to get this slip-on. No remapping is required. It's the only true slip-on for this bike.
Trully Men don't wear gloves , congratulations mate
Thanks, Bro. I feel naked without gloves.
You should take the baffle out lol there’s enough muffled by the catalytic converter.
Der Pott sieht Scheisse aus. Hol dir den Austin!😆
Not much difference, 2015 stock exhaust sounds better
Yes, but the bike improved so much since the euro4 Update;) sound isnt everything.
This is a completely different animal than was the 15... which was a great bike.
