I love your foundation reviews. I feel like you are one of the only channels with lighting where I can actually tell what the product looks like on normal skin. So many reviewers use lighting that makes every foundation look the same.
She's probably the only influencer that doesn't use a filter on her videos either. That's why with a lot of the other influencers the foundations look the same because of the filters they use for their videos. It makes it so hard to tell if the product actually looks good on them or not. 😏
Just a little tip for you or anyone who doesn't already know this, but you can use a beauty sponge dry to apply really light-weight/serum-like/runny foundations. Damp ones soak up too much formula. You can still customize the level of coverage but how much product you use. I recommend applying product to face (not to sponge)- only applying as much as you need and go from there. Also, if you have oily eyelids, you really need to apply powder to your under eyes to give any mascara a half a shot. Hope that helps. :)
Technically, a damp sponge soaks up less product than a dry one because it’s closer to it’s saturation point. If it’s already full of water, it could only hold/absorb so much foundation. If it’s completely dry, it is able to soak in more foundation because it hasn’t been saturated by the water.
I would have liked to seen it powdered. Can you test that on at-least half your face? It probably wears way better that way so that it absorbs your oil throughout the day.

Same! Haha. Luckily I've found one that has my shade and also has some discoloration so when she does foundation reviews it's always a good starting point for me. Hope she never gets a tan because I'm basically living like a vampire 🤣

Cassie you should try the NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop and Elf Matte Putty Primer. When I'm oily and not dehydrated those primers are unlike anything I've tried. And no-the Elf Matte is NOTHING like the OG or ACNE putty. They both control my oils. I bet you'd like at least one of them 😁

Ohio. Same. Hot, humid, ugh. I was so excited I thought it might rain yesterday. It sprinkled at best. My plants are sad. The foundation applied so well, and I liked the mascara look. I usually end up just going with tinted moisturizer on humid days. The waterproof Australian Gold tinted sunscreen also works well on those days. Great hair, btw. My cut is Wednesday. Yay!

Are you still liking this foundation? How do you feel about it coverage wise? I have quite a bit of stuff I have to cover regarding hyperpigmentation/inflammation/texture so in a way I need full coverage, but I hate full coverage if you know what I mean? The feeling of it is just so.... eeeek. I don't want to feel like I am putting a sheet mask on to wear all day. I'd rather sacrifice some coverage (not too much though lmao) and have it feel... healthy, I guess? and go in with a bit of concealer where needed...

I noticed the flakes from the mascara on day 1. It wasn't as bad as day 3 but it was noticable. Curious if you still use that rolling tool you got in one of your sub boxes that eliminates your oils? Maybe give this one a try again while using it throughout the day? If it works you'll be able to get more use from this serum foundation other than a mix-in. Just a suggestion... 😉
Hey Cassie not that you asked but if your looking for a less clunky mascara I really recommend the benefit they’re real eyelash primer… you won’t even need an actual mascara over it, just it alone is great! 😄

Have you tried not seeing your face? Just curious, I have oily skin too I feel that using powers on my face don’t mix well with my natural oils and and it makes it more obvious I’m wearing makeup. Plus the powder to me makes it harder to touch up or blot oil.
I know you're trying this on its own ,but I would set it with a setting powder. It really helps to lock everything in and it lasts longer depending on what setting powder you use, but it also helps so it doesn't transfer as much. Then just spray a setting spray to really hold everything in place and you're good to go. Girl when you lock down your base it makes a world of difference. ☺️💗
Hi Cassie! Have you tried niacinamide for your oily skin? I use the niacinamide serum from The Ordinary as a primer and it really helps stop my face from looking like an oil slick. I lol'd at the Price is Right sound bit :)

I've found that powdering this down like a normal foundation and it's not as oily/shiny.
For us sweaty oily bitches it takes a lot of powder to the point of cakey. And by the end of the day still an oil sweaty shinny shinny shinny mess
