You never took it out of off-road mode for all of your acceleration tests (the rest of the test shows the digital gauge cluster with the compass in the middle which means it is in off-road mode). I don't usually think drive modes make much of a difference, but in this case on a Mazda, Off-Road mode dulls the throttle response for smoother transitions when you are off-road and tries to reduce any wheel getting too much torque and therefore slipping on what it thinks is a loose surface. Re-doing the test in normal mode would probably make a difference and maybe get rid of some of the weird noises you were noting (though it all sounded good to me!).

Priced out a Signature model here in Canada (same as premium plus in the USA) and it’s $66,159 with a hitch & floor mats, Canadian dollars, or about $46,311 USD. That discrepancy is likely due to the fact that over $70K CAD, 2:20 as the exchange would suggest compared to US pricing, would mean zero sales here in Canada. I still wouldn’t pay that,,, as the CX9 prior model was less than that!! 😂😂. Mazda wants to go upscale, but the new models don’t seem more upscale than the current , or previous generation models! The CX50 VS CX5 is a good example. I have ridden in both, the CX50 looks a bit better for my tastes, but it otherwise feels very much the same as the CX5. Nope Mazda is killing themselves believing they can move upscale. They still have 12 volt lighter style outlets, outdated screens and they are too small compared to their perceived competitors, even their true competitors! Sorry Mazda, I know of 6 people in CX5s that will not step up to the CX50 as a replacement model and will look elsewhere.

Wow, all of TFL’s Colorado reviews of the Mazda CX-70/CX-90 have been so “meh” (Other than Tommy and Chase). However, I have to agree about the sound of the inline six… they shouldn’t have boosted the sound (It is under the hood via the intake system NOT the speakers). I own the CX-90 PHEV and I prefer the sound a lot more. The boosted sound of the inline six makes it seem unrefined. I also agree about the digital dashes, I like my CX-90s dash. But my wife’s 2019 Grand Cherokee only as a digital center screen and I still like the way it looks and functions. Also, those are NOT cup holders. They are storage cubbies. Look at them closely. They are DIFFERENT from the cup holders in the CX-90.
Roman has been a Mazda nagger for years 😂. At the same time his beloved Toyota turbo engines are lot louder and much harsher in sound at the same price of vehicle . Engine louder tone when not fully warmed up is there as Mazda for this turbo enigne is now using 0w-20 ligher oil to get extra 0.5mpg 😉 use 0W30 or 0W40 and it will calm down the higher pitch tone and make it sound more low tone and much more refined . Well worth to dump factory fill at 500miles to say Valvoline Advanced 5W30 or 0W40 .

If it would start at $30,000, it'd sell like hotcakes. But, adding $20,000 to it....just kills the interest.
Are you kidding me? Where can you find anything comparable to this vehicle at 30k? You just can’t afford a new vehicle.
Imagine making two iterations of the SAME car and still not addressing the critique that it’s just a 90 without the extra row? Remove the cup holders already!!!
Who cares? Mazda🔛🔝
They are t really cup holders anymore, but trays for smaller items. If the CX90 didn’t exist, no one would know or care.
They are not cup holders, they are storage cubbies. Why not give a little extra storage for Knick Knacks?
I will just say that
@@sheldonduffy9442 I think the point is they didn't open that space up more to add ground cover but they simply change the inserts. Mazda retrofitted the 90 and you can see with the vent near the cupholders that actually doesn't have any venting to it
You can get top trim CX-90 $8k off MSRP. If I could get this for $50k it is a decent price but $57k is too much for a Mazda IMO.
2:45 that grill/hood/fender fit is clunky and unrefined. The single slash above the eyeline is striking, if the cut lines aren’t there. Seems like an opportunity for an improvement for a mid-model refresh.
Infiniti fx35, that you?
HUGE MISSED OPPORTUNITY MAKING THE GRILL AND REAR LOOK LIKE A SMALLER CX90 INSTEAD OF A BIGGER CX50. PLEASE MAKE THE CX90 AND CX70 LOOK MORE LIKE THE CX50. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOODNESS IN THE CX90 MAKE THE 3RD ROW ROOMY FOR ADULTS!!! WE NOT HAVING KIDS WE HAVING ROOMMATES AND RIDESHARE MAKE THE 3RD ROW BIGGER BUT KEEP THE CAR ATTRACTIVE IT'S DOABLE
“Thumbs up”👍 This reply if you have seen or heard the phrase “it’s a CX90 without the rear seat” 😂😂😂
Just fold the 3rd row seat down if want
Yes if you have the need for an occasional third row seat, it’s good. But you are hauling around the weight of that third row seat all the time whether you use it or not. Personally, I have no need for a third row seat. I rarely use the second row as it’s just the two of us now.
Mazda's, love 'em, love the powertrain, very reliable, but again, their tech went backwards, as we have a cx-5 and that has a touchscreen. Odd. Great video guys.
You can get a Land Cruiser for that kinda money
Plasticy and way smaller...who is cross-shopping them?
@@joecool9739 This should be 10k less than the cheapest Land Cruiser
@@Yogi5D
Why?
You need to price a new Land Rover.
Land Cruiser is nowhere near as good as the cx70.
It's a cx90 that's lazy. It's the same exact car.
Not for 57K nope. Wait for the rebates and then a maybe. It is made in Japan with excellent build quality and you can't go wrong with low maintenance costs. Just wait for rebates.
The CX-70 should have been styled similar to the CX-50… lower and wider, just bigger.
Why would you buy a CX-90 just without the third row. CX-70 makes no sense.
Just a cheeky out.
Fuzzy , furry and soft ? Are you talking about Roman ?
It's a $40,000 at best. F^&* MAZDA, you actually bought into your own hype that your interiors look like mercedes and BMW - cup holders for a third row that doesnt exist! Foolish.
Pepole seem to be crazy enough to pay it, so why not.
Looks like a BMW
No, can’t stand that radial nob, not fan of the exterior bubble style either. Wow that engine is loud.
What a vapid review.
The answer is no.
Too much money, Ugly Aesthetics, Overcomplicated powertrain, and Realistically only comfortable seating space for 4 adults. For nearly $60k get something AWD with 3 rows from one of the other brands IMO
$57k 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hell no
Not a good reviewer.
Nah
It's ORANGE 🤮🤮🤮
I'm sorry, but F... full EV's. At most Hybrid.
I can’t take this BS from Mazda and must say this a company who’s marketshare hasn’t grown since the eighties need to taken out of it’s misery.
Mazda can’t sell cars under $30 thousand wants the public to believe their a luxury brand the last time they made a luxury car was the long dead 929 - no the CX 90 or the 2 row CX 70 won’t sell a 2 row CX 90 calling it a CX 70 and what’s with this constant need to change the model names??? Mazda has only has 2 successful cars the Miata MX5 and CX-5. Ford stopped burning money with Mazda years ago and now Subaru and Toyota own a piece of that sinking ship.
i have had an '18, '19 now my since '21 cx-5. i hope this vehicle is a complete flop because it is a stupid idea. They had the blueprints for the cx-60. all the had to do was widen it and bring it to the US but no we get this nonsense. They can't compete because they lack the resources. Mazda will not keep up trust me.
Wouldnt spend 37k for that
*couldn't
i disagree, the interior is so plain, boring!!
BORING!!! no ambient lighting nothing spectacular and for that price point i mean add some excitement. i mean the quality is good but it's mundane. If they're gonna price this vehicle like luxury vehicles they have to remember people buy those because the vehicle feels special. This doesn't tbh but then again it's a mommy car
The panel gap on the hood and the bumper is pretty bad in this example.
Mazda's panel gaps are best in the business
