This is one of your videos that I will watch again. So many things going on!
Such a lovely old building on the facade. Sorry so many injuries. Chief was superb in his interview. Thanks again for teaching me so very much about firefighting. God bless every firefighter.
Thank you John for the great fire coverage. Blessings to you. The FDNY and the EMT's always there fighting fighting and taking care of the injuries and respiratory needs You all are the best of the best. Be safe all. 🚒😁🤗
Always a great and very informative video coming from you, JJ!! Thank you for posting!! Sad to see those beautiful buildings burn.
Thank you John. What a difficult fire to fight. Those stairs and ladders must be exhausting.
Hey JJ thanks for your excellent coverage! Stay safe out there and God bless!
What a beautiful, ornate old building! Even the fire escapes are pretty. Hope it can be repaired. Great job by the FDNY and you. Prayers for the injured members.
Excellent display of journalism John.
Only in NY. 6 Truck from Chinatown with his stick up in Little Italy. Love it. Looked like that building might have had some other fires from the scorch marks on the upper part of it. Lots of black marks on the White top. You do the best job of all John. Stay safe! Edit: What's with the guys in shorts. The chauffeurs likely but darn. See em all the time!
I AM NOT SURE IF THEY HAD A PREVIOUS FIRE THERE BUT I SAW THE MARKS TOO.....ALSO, YES ALWAYS THE CHAUFFEURS LIKE TO WEAR THIER SHORTS.....HEHEHE.....AND LASTLY, YES CHINA MEETS ITALY.....HAHAHA.....THANKS SO MUCH.....

Outstanding video, FDNY has been very busy, the fire in Crown Heights was devastating. These older buildings are hard to find all the pockets of fire. Stay safe
Great job by the members this was a difficult one to fight and hard to find so many moving parts with this stubborn fire thinking about the member’s that were injured praying for a speedy recovery 2N2 see you soon. 1:16:15 Chief Moore did a phenomenal job with the interview 1:17:35 !!
Excellent coverage.
It is unbelievable to observe the incredible physical condition of the members, climbimg fire escapes and ladders while weighed down by their gear, hauling hose up the fire escape while battling a acomplex fire in a building that is facing interior collapse. Great video! I hope the injured members recover quickly. I also feel sorry for the folks who lost their homes in this wonderful old area of NYC. Thanks John!
Great job by the brothers knocking this down. Another awesome video JJ
YES THEY ARE GARY.....THANKS SO MUCH.....
Back in the late 90s early 2000s I used to order these types of vhs from Steve Spak. I loved those vids, but they were expensive. Then RUclips came around and I eventually found The Majesterium. You sir have changed this hobby and made it 50xs better. Thanks for your amazing vids!!!! 🙏🏾
Great job by all
JJ it's super cold where I am at and is 16°f. I ordered some heavy duty gloves to keep me warm. I just have some very warm hats including a Russian Army hat and good for minus 30 below.
JJ stay warm.
Yep cant beat the only ladder truck to be used ! One with an easily used adapter for a hose to also be operated by remote control.
OK AND THANKS SO MUCH.....
Great video John, despite the difficulties. Stay warm out there!
Good coverage John, as always. Deputy Assistant Chief Ward did a good job explaining and giving details of the scene and he always seems to have a good attitude and a smile on his face. See ya on the next one JJ.
YES HE DID AND HIS NAME IS "CHIEF MOORE".....HE IS A GREAT CHIEF AND I THINK WILL BE FIRE CHIEF OF THE DEPARTMENT OR EVEN COMMISSIONER ONE DAY.....HE ALWAYS HAS A SMILE ON HIS FACE.....THANKS SO MUCH BILL.....
Great coverage again as usual, JJ!
Awesome! I got the alert about the fire on my scanner app. By the time I listened in, it was a third alarm.

Great video! Those members must have been exhausted after having to use the fire escape. Happy there were only minor injuries. So much going on, my eyes were darting all over. Thanks JJ.

We are sorry to hear of you brothers illness and hope he is recovering well. Take care.
1967 hebrew hospital. seen them bright lights brooklyn. daddy US DUPUTY.
You always get the best shots! :)
P..S. Be careful on those roofs! Bring a flashlight along with you.
Again a fantastic job. This must have been one hell of a job gor those brave people. I heard on your radio of subjects on the fire escape. Were they all rescued
Excellent job JJ
Female dispatcher is absolutely incredibly awesome!!!
Very nice comment, could have been a big one but FDNY did a great job, having no access to a stair is bad because the maintenance off those fire escapes are not that good sometimes.
Tremendous video...as always. 20:00 Imagine watching this video and see your apartment and a firefighter is standing on your bed? 😀
John, too bad you weren't in Los Angeles Sat. night. They had a massive fire in downtown. It made the national news. They had 26 companies and 164 firemen fighting this monster. You would have had lots of angles to choose from.... Thanks for all your videos and work.
John, another great video showing FDNY at its finest. I hope the injured firefighters recover soon. This fire could have gone wild, thankfully they got it under control quickly. 🇬🇧 1:03:49
One thing that places FDNY at risk on 10-75s is they send so many companies up on these fires placing a tremendous load on stairwells, fire escapes, etc. easily adding couple thousand pounds on these structures--which no one knows during these renovations how well these structures were constructed. I get concerned when I see 6 - 8 firefighters standing on these 100 year old fire escapes 60 or more feet off the ground.
I noticed that the hose is reloaded on to the engine regardless if it is wet or dry. Once returned to the station house how is the hose dried?
99 on scene great video John stay safe
great video JJ
did you hear about that hit a pallet company the whole freeway system is closed down for a long time the concrete melted the fire was 600 degrees that’s how hot it was let me know what you think brad
How come 2nd floor on 4 side front looks like it was burned out?? Is that where the fire started or is it from a previous job?? Hate when guys take windows for No reason. If it is not hot and black take the time to pop the pins and open window. All of them have that function today.
At first that's what I thought too, but everytime the camera went by I realized the windows were intact, and there were potted plants in all the windows unscathed. The windows in that apartment were totally different then the windows in the rest of the building.
Ill take another look@@marianneturner7267
Nice job John! Be safe man
Now I'm confused. On the comms 101 said the member stepped in a hole on the landing between the 3rd and 4th floors, but command only wants members off the stairs above the 4th floor. Am I missing something? Shouldn't it be anything above the 3rd floor? Also command said at one point members stay off of all the stairs, and to use the fire escapes, aerials, and portable ladders for egress? So is there some miscommunication going on? Not second guessing just see this as a huge risk of injury if members are on the wrong or compromised stairs.
Never understand the random smashing of windows. Yes, to exhaust hot gases, but it all seems haphazard. If you knock the wrong windows out, then you won’t release the hot gases, but more likely provide extra oxygen to the fire.
So, did that make you the Big Man on Mulberry Street? IYKYK 😁 And to paraphrase a major motion picture..."I hate it when you have to go look for it".
Did this building already suffer an earlier fire on the 2nd floor ? Around 15:30 those windows look blown out and the inside all charred up
Thats what I thought
John what is the temperature there?
It’s about 33 Degrees out in the area
@@bloodravensterminator8594 Thanks. It's in the upper 50s at night and mid 70s during the day in Vegas. Firefighters have a bigger challenge during freezing temperatures.
@@davidweyant9356 oh it’s crazy when it’s cold, gotta watch your step around hydrants and connections
who else would be tempted to go up that ladder I no I would be tempted 😉
what kind of camera do you use ?
I hate these ones that hide in the walls. Also as a woman who was discouraged from becoming a firefighter by my local agency because I was female, it makes me so happy to see so many female firefighters on these scenes. 😊
Just how much do window companies in NY pay firemen to break out windows ?
NOTHING.....THEY DO NOT DO THAT TO GET PAID.....
Going to be alot of actors tonight
So a fire in a building this old is pretty much a guarentee that it will be demolished and turn into a vacant lot?
I've said this before. watching these guys smash windows with nothing protecting their eyes.
When they pump a lot of water into a bldg like that does that basically make it uninhabitable
TUCSON ARIZONA STATION 8. 1. no problem. heavy compressed air foam attack.
🙄
use foam on these big fires. and not just on burning cars.
and thats from the spirit of tucson arizona station 1. & 8.
But what about the opened windows and other openings, doesn't that effect the practical use of foam? Fyi, I never used it.
this fire is called a motley crew wild side ass kicking. love you motley crew & FDNY.
Maybe they'll find Jimmy Hoffa in the walls!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I hear helicopter blades!
🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁LION c LIKE No. 140 ----Ю 25 degrees , anybody got marshmallows
this fire was bad
what the people of new york city need to do is stop voting 1970s again. try republican for 1 to 30 years. hey maybe the new york city can get them 1878 to 1960s factory moving again. just lick the MIGHTY COLORADO RIVER.
Not sure if I would trust that fire escape as old as it is.
No better run department.... Well-oiled machine
Fantastic job by all the departments 🙏🏻🫶🏻🇬🇧🫶🏻
