The Strikers were an 1980s disco music band from New York City. They had greatest success with the singles "Body Music" and "Inch by Inch". Members included Darryl Gibbs, Howie Young, Milton Brown (later of Warp 9), Robert Rodriguez, Ruben Faison, Robert Gilliom, and Willie Slaughter.

Still listening 8.30.24. Back in the 80's it's ladies night all male dance revue! Body Music was one of the dancers song. He didn't need a introduction because when the dj played Body Music, we already who was next to dance. Rock rock do the punk rock...don't stop. 🕺🏾

Real 🎵 Musicians , Real Band, Real Singers, Feel good music from back in the day when bands were bands reminds me of growing up as a kid and listening to this kind of music while riding with uncle miss those days miss those years 🙂

Bien le bonjour les partisans de la langue française ✋ il était une fois, dans une discothèque, je suis aller voir le DJ et je lui ai demandé de nous mettre les strikers, il la dit ok. Une demi-heure après, je suis allé le revoir et lui me dit qu’il l’a mise. Étonné je lui demande de me montrer la pochette, il avait passé les stray cat’s le con … 😂

@@paulolaff How can I dig new songs when they have been stripped and boiled down to the absolute bare bones of song structure and writing.
Throw some auto tune on the simplist of a 'beat' grab a sample from somewhere and u got yourself a new song.
I'm talking about the U.S scene that replaced Funk n Soul. There's some good new tunes in other genres. England's always got some good stuff as they tend to b a bit more serious about their music than their U.S counterparts.
What are some of these new songs I can be digging on: maybe I missed something but I'm always looking for new good stuff so lay it on me.
