Amazing grace always gives me chills. Today, remembering Charlie Daniels and realizing exactly what this world has lost, it brought me to tears. I tried to sing it with Charlie and the others that were in this video but emotion soon took away my voice. This world needs many more wonderful, selfless and gracious human beings in it. Losing one such as this in these times is felt all the deeper. Enjoy your rest Charlie, you spent your life teaching others through your actions the way to live. We were blessed to have you with us as long as we did. The Lord has called you home, so this is farewell, until we meet again. For those of us who are still on this side of Heaven, may we each seek to carry that light for the rest of humanity to see. In this way we can honor the legacy of Charlie Daniels and perhaps bring a little more peace to the chaos we call life.
Reverend Robertson,.. please pray for my family especially my brother Jim I believe he's suffering from Alzheimer's desease and has been acting up like a 2 year old...he's even banned me...(his own sister) from his home...he needs help..please pray for the Lord to give him wisdom to know the difference..and a heart of compassion, for his sibling, and cast away from his heart, and mind, the evil spirit of hate and misbehaving... Lord, he's turned 71 years old, about 2 months ago.. please help him slow down, and accept his sibling who lives close by...we ask this in our prayers Lord... amen.

It's nice to see Mr Daniels is such a genuine Christian. I'm a rather serious and pious Christian, Torah keeping also, and I have no apology or regret for it. That said, I would not write casual secular songs themed on the devil or on ghosts (and I am a songwriter). But, I'm not one who judges others, I understand the Cross. Never looked into Mr Daniels before, but glad to see he is such a genuine Christian. Messiah bless. Walk as He walked; you won't regret it.
What an inspiring message. I've listened to this probably about two or three times now, and probably will again in the future, as well as shared it with a few people. I too feel as though I can relate to where Charlie's coming from. The issue isn't believing the gospel, because I do. Where I feel as though I'm confused, is because this denomination says you can't listen to this, you can't watch this. Another denomination says, if ya drink a beer/drink or two, it's okay as long as you don't drink to in excess, and another one says one sip will send you to hell, and automatically void your salvation. So in all reverence and respect, what can ya do, watch/listen to, go, etc? I've heard people say just ask the holy Spirit to show you, and what he convicts you on, he may not convict somebody else. So I don't know. All I know is I wished that Charlie and I could have gotten to know each other a little bit through the years, because I could see us just hangin out, maybe talkin and playing a few tunes. When I met him several years ago at the fair, the brief time I was able to spend with him was nothing short of fabulous. Such a kind and gentle soul. God bless you Charlie, and hopefully one day we'll be able to meet again, and get to know each other and live, where the soul of man never dies.
