No matter what you do for a living, imagine being asked to take a pay cut. That must be devastating. Bellator’s fighters are really getting shit on right now. They can’t afford to fight them so they’re icing their careers as a conciliation. “Player first organization” sure seems different than how I imagined it
I wish you a merry Christmas brothers. Godbless you and thank you for all the amazing content. It really does help to have something to look forward too during the week like your show. I love mma
Michael Johnson might be one the most underrated LW of all time considering I feel like he is perceived as just a meh guy. He beat: Prime Tony Ferguson(Johnson was Tony's last loss before the 12 fight win streak) Dustin Poirier Edson Barboza
Thanks as always for the podcast team Weighing In. It's always much appreciated. 🙂🙏 Whittaker has mentioned this multiple times in the last year or so, and it has gone very much under the radar - Out of camp, he weighs ~220 lbs. He is always in shape, so I don't think it's the case of not being disciplined with his diet. Nevertheless, I agree with John and Josh, I have a lot of respect towards Whittaker's career. He cemented his greatness with his 2 x 25 minutes wars with Romero, when Romero was in his absolute prime.
Big Jon & Josh, as far as PFL/Bellator fighters and their managers are saying, if true every fighter (with their managers) should get together. Find a great law firm dealing with sports contract law and hit the PFL with a Class Action Lawsuit. They agreed to purchase Bellator and their fighters , if they're waiting them out for contracts to expire or only giving them the option of less pay, then there's a lawsuit there waiting to happen. Get the word out and let's hope these guys get what they deserve and were promised
"He don't wanna fight. 5:35 sorry John but Darren is a walking fun bag for strikers he didn't want to fight and that's why he was talking about head kicks and take downs
Josh, you have young kids and now talk for a living. Why would you even think of stepping back in the ring against steroid juicebox Cowboy Ceronne??? Just ask yourself this, how money is worth it to lose your cognitive ability and use of speech? I can see doing sub grappling again if the money was right but CTE is not worth it, no matter the amount.
Real respect real and I'm glad we got some fan questions in!
Merry Christmas fellas, been here since the beginning. My morning work commute is easier when I listen to y'all (and Joe Rogan.) ❤
