Watched the fight live, then watched it again today, still not sure why Fury fanboys were crying about the scoring. If we go by the compubox numbers Usyk had the more accurate punches and also he threw more.
Drunk me last night thought Fury nicked it by 1 round but!!! Sober me watched it again this morning and I gave it to Usyk by 2 👍 beer goggles definitely affect your judgement lol 🍻
After listening to British punditry about this fight it's crazy to get some actual unbiased folks calling it correctly. Fight wasn't close whatsoever. Fury promised he was going to knock Usyk out and retire him, but in reality all that weight was just to make sure there wasn't a repeat of Round 9 from the last fight. He fought too defensively, was scared to actually blow the gas tank against Usyk, and was happy to lose wide on the cards and then complain about being robbed.
Big John, you just said on the last weighing in show "if both fighters have skill, the bigger man wins" lolol. Now it's "speed is a killer" Usyk is a better boxer and he's faster with better cardio.
Josh and John are some of the worst predictors on planet Earth. The only thing worse than their fight picks is the way they refuse to ever acknowledge when they are wrong. Especially John. He should be studied.
I kept my scorecard and had 2 rounds that were really close. Even if you give both of them to Fury, Usyk still wins 115-113. Obviously, best case scenario for Usyk on my card is 117-111. So 116-112 sounds very fair to me.
Andy Ruiz had plenty opportunities to make fights but he was greedy. Him and Wilder were supposed to fight but Wilder's team said Andy was asking for too much money and the same thing happened with Fury. Andy fought Miller a few months ago but the fight was scored a draw even though Miller clearly won. Even Turki called it a robbery. As for Hearn not wanting the AJ vs Fury fight; that's inaccurate. Fury and Wilder froze AJ out of an undisputed fight; they both threatened that they'd freeze him out and they did; it's on record. Fury's team (Frank Warren and Bob Arum) also lied that the Wilder arbitration was dealt with, giving fasle hope that the AJ vs Fury Undisputed fight was gonna happen but when both men received their contracts, and AJ signed his, news came out that the Wilder arbitration was won by him, so him and Fury had to fight a third time. Then after AJ lost to Usyk a second time, Fury saw a wekness and then offered to fight AJ but he had a week's deadline to sign the contract; this was a few days after the loss (''Monday, Monday, Monday is the deadline'' is the famous statement that Fury made). Nobody would sign under those conditions. Fury went on to fight Chisora a third time but he never gave him a dedline to sign. We also have countless statements that he'll never fight AJ or AJ doesn't deserve to fight him because he lost to a fat sausage (Ruiz). If you've followed the division diligently; you'd know that Fury is the one who's always been negative about the AJ fight. This is partly due to what happened in sparring (even though it's said sparring doesn't matter) when AJ was on the come up and Fury was already a pro; he admitted that he got his ass kicked by AJ on record. Let's see if Fury makes excuses again because him vs AJ should be next for both men. These are the historical facts and there are receipts for them. As for AJ vs Wilder; we have Wilder's Tweet to Fury that he was offerred more money for the Undisputed fight with AJ than he was offered to fight Fury. Simply Google ''Wilder admits to ducking Joshua'' and follow the Twitter link. These guys made it possible for Usyk to creep in and spoil the party.
I thought they were going to fix the fight for Tyson. MULTIPLE times when usyk landed huge left hands the camera angle changed and commentary wouldn’t even mention it. Boxing scoring is subjective but I thought usyk won basically every round. The AI was right we just always automatically make the score so close for whatever reason it’s a human bias
I agree with Josh on the Battle statement. I would say it's not just an "excuse" but more an importantly a fact that the weight was missed. Using the word excuse waters down the situation
“it’s a robot, it can’t smoke weed John” 😂 The ‘AI referee’ had it 118-112 for Usyk. Whilst the AI judge was only used as an experimental 4th official and therefore didn’t impact the result. I wouldn’t be too quick to dismiss its interpretation of the fight. It’s a brilliantly developed piece of software that’s measuring a whole host of metrics in real time such as; aggression, landed punches, impact of punches, defensive moves and more. The results in this fight are definitely worth a read when released. I think 118-112 is on the money

Are the fighters backed into a corner and forced to take the fight if their opponent doesn't make weight? Can't they refuse THAT fight and ask for a replacement opponent? There's usually someone on standby, isn't there?
With the Brian battle-Randy Brown situation, it makes it worse because remember when Pereira didn't make the weight against Stephen Thompson and he didn't take the fight? Remember the UFC was pissed and kind of punished Stephen for not taking the fight? Such bs
Josh and and John, what do you guys think of instead of it the fighter that missed weight only loses 20% the rules be changed to if you miss weight you can only make your show money and not your win money plus you still lose that 20% and the fighter that makes weight automatically makes his show and win money plus the 10% from the fighter that missed weight and the commission still gets there 10% I feel like this is more fair and a better incentive not to miss weight
Yo!! I've missed the last 15 or so shows due to work, but I wanted to stop by and say Merry Xmas @JOSH @JOHN @DAVE @GEORGE. Appreciate you guys, love the show. LOVE FROM CDA IDAHO ❤️❤️
It's "Once you accept the fight... AT THAT WEIGHT". If they don't make the weight then 100% of their purse should go to the other guy. It would solve the problem. Or just do same day weigh-ins. We'd get better fights anyway with guys fighting at their actual weight. Not playing this silly weight-loss game.
Usyk is an amazing human being, a superlative boxer, he clearly won, 116-113; the commentators were surprised because their commentary was biased all the way through, Warren is an embarrassment, the wild boar has been castrated...
Warren is not an embarrasment, thats not accurate. The thing is ,he doesnt understand scoring ,also ,we have to say, some rounds were very close. Ok ,Usyk was winning them but not by much .
When Caio Borralho said nobody wants to fight him why not just give him the automatic title shot like they did with Islam or Umar as you claim everyone avoids them.
No they won't ... All 3 of them had loses against boxers that are not on the same level as Usyk! All 3 of them went to the distance with boxers that are not on the same level as Usyk! Are they capable to defeat Usyk ? Sure they are ... But saying that they would destroy him is ridiculous. I give Usyk a real good change ... He is way more allround than those 3... For example: better cardio, footwork, controlling distance etc etc
