Man, Theros straight up doesn't get enough love.
That’s because when I bring it up, the old schoolers start going after me because it’s ’not a real D&D setting’ 🤭 personally, I love the MTG settings.
So I actually love the evolving monsters from Theros. I use them in conjunction with the modular monster style like what D&D shorts did. It makes me able to change the way players interact.
Also I kinda love the MTG stuff for D&D . 😂
Yesssss, the world needs more of us! 🤣
Me and a lot of the guys I play with have a love of Greek Mythology, so me picking up Theros back in February just felt like a no-brainer. I have zero regrets from that financial decision. Man would I love to be able to make it far enough in a campaign to pull something like Tromakratis out. That would be absolutely incredible!
I mean… nothing in the rules about pulling Tromokratis out at level 3 😇
The Hat sent me, but I was not expecting the awesome ambiance music.
God I love the Ancient Dragon Turtle. Dragon Turtle is great, but the ancient one really is the most Kaiju-like RAW creature in 5e. And it's beautiful
I absolutely agree. Just the imagery is incredible.
There's also the Kraken wizard from Storm King's Thunder, this bad boy can cast Fly and a bunch of other spells.
Tholtz Daggerdark! The rapscallion! Haha yeah that’s a good call 🤌 we were just focusing on huge and gargantuan for this one
@@NorseFoundry Not him, Slarkrethel
Oh oh oh that’s right, Tholtz was just linked to a kraken, right? I haven’t played it through
Great video! Glad Kraken week showed me your channel!
Thanks so much!
Channel vibe is awesome! Underrated creator. Great video!
Thanks so much! We try our best to pass the vibe test 😎
Coincidence! I just used this spell for the first time a couple sessions ago. And the creature i used it against?
…A Kraken! 🥳🌊🐟
Which spell? 😱
I gotta say that Aboleth aren't really "kaiju-type" monsters. They are only CR10 because this is a common aboleth, and there are many of them. A single aboleth can be a big bad guy for a low-level party, but as a whole they are an almost universal threat!
Haha yeah I was more drawing a comparison to their god-like lore and comparing that to the only stat block that was released for them. Honestly, I’m disappointed they didn’t get an upgrade in MMOTM or even a new type of aboleth that is more challenging.
I like the hooks I hope you do more!
Seems like a popular format! It’ll likely be back
I sub'd here thanks to the Kraken Week playlist!
Thanks! We hope you have a kraken good time here!
These are all so cool
I hope you get to use them!
Oooooh! I love the one from Theros 😍 That sounds like it would make a truly wild battle - as a low roller I don’t think I’d be able to hit a single heart 😂😂😂
Hahaha oh no! Yeah Tromokratis is 💯 a BIG numbers battle!
👍for kraken week
FOR KRAKEN WEEK! 🔱
Tromokratis really is the best big bad in 5e
The multistage boss fight is awesome
Junji Ito's The Thing That Drifted Ashore would make for an amazing opening to an Aboleth campaign.
Oooo I haven’t read…
@NorseFoundry it's an odd manga short about an enormous sea creature washing ashore that the gawking locals notice within transparent sections of the creature's body were people. Cutting it open the pale deformed human bodies of dozens of people spill out. Only for everyone to be frightened when it turns out the bodies are still alive. One woman mentioned that one of the writhing bodies is her husband, who was lost at sea years ago. Concluding that they had survived by parasitizing the creature.
Gross. I LOVE IT.
wow
😍😍
NOW WHERE THE HELL ARE U POINTY HAT add it to the playlist alreeady
Are we not in yet? 🤔👀
