I'd like to offer 3 points on items which seemed to be of interest for our wonderful host, Mr. Barat.
      Did Kamala lose over Gaza?
One issue not being discussed is how the Democrats core base of Uni students collapsed- just didn't bother to show up. I dont doubt much of this was Gaza related however what i feel is too important to be overlooked is how the students involved in the Gaza campus protests eere absolutely singled out for abuse unlike any other large campus movement in history (BLM, Climate Justice, etc) , Politicians & Media ALSO blatantly lied about the events to such an extent that many of the uni students who didn't even participate or really support the cause of Gaza were genuinely revulsed by the elite liberals behavior, deception & complicity to harm instead of protect students exercising their 1st amendment rights.
How much worse will Trump be to Palestine?
The entire GOP has for a year been accusing Biden of 'withholding weapons from Israel' - this is something they have vowed to change if Trump were elected.
Many who hear this GOP accusation- that Biden has been 'holding back weapons support for Israel' think this is just untrue- because seriously, it's Biden who has been the GENOCIDER IN CHIEF?!?
So some folks choose to chalk this talking point up to perhaps be the over the top banter which is customary- wild claims that are simply election season hyperbole.
Unfortunately those folks are about to find out how diabolical the GOP's claim truly was.
The weapon's that Biden was being accused of'holding back' from Israel weren't being held back because of any orher reason, politically or personally related to ISRAEL... No.
These arms weren't being sent to Israel because they are COMPLETELY PROHIBITED UNDER INTERNATIONAL LAW and therefore using them, anywhere for any reason would constitute the commission of a war crime. The GOP has promised to REMOVE THE WEAPONS BAN & BEGIN SENDING A CONSTANT LINE OF LANDING B52'S which are filled with everything from the regular banned stuff- white phosphorus, depleted uranium fortified artillery, hardware and beyond which will now include super secret stuff which the Pentagon has created but yet its stuff they've never been crazy enough to even attempt to field test....
      How much more worser still?
If you recall the Biden administrations reaction early on in Gaza to Israel completely severing off all communications to everyone in Gaza... The BIDEN admin pitched a fit SPECIFICALLY CITING THAT ALL OF GAZA'S AID ORGS & NGO'S DEPENDED ON THESE SUSTAINED CHANNELS OF COMMUNICATION in order to do everything it is that they do
This mandate by Biden for the communications reconnections is why we & the Palestinians have access to spread to the world what it is that they're experiencing, how they can produce evidence of Israel's crimes.
Trump's cabinet has already declared that it will crush every & any humanitarian, aid, unrwa org that is there, in Palestine because these orgs have been already labeled as either terrorists or worse... (Teaching Palestinian kids to 'hate jews' 🤦‍♀️)
ICYMI what happens after all of these orgs are no longer providing services with in the OPT?
Then theres absolutely zero need for Israel to be required to keep these pesky communications channels open for the Palestinians themselves to use & whatever happens next as a result will happen in a complete information blackout.
      Just some thoughts

    • @MetaXhaal
      @MetaXhaal Месяц назад

@ As you’re responding to my initial post, I’d like to sort of kindly object (English isn’t my native language though).
I wouldn’t take for granted that “people are good”, on the other hand I believe corruption (i.e. comfort in many different ways) is pretty much ruling the world in these days of materialism (well, from the very tiny part of “the world” I could pretend to know) at many different levels and especially for the West of course. And there might be the direction where to focalize on for our fights, before we hope that “people” gather and take power. What makes me often sick is the sort of apathy (or would it be resignation) from average people around…
Yanis Varoufakis said something like « I cannot convince somebody who's salary depends on not being convinced », which I find impressively on point and very much related to this sense of powerlessness and helplessness we have surrounding us… It’s probably something gigantic and ubiquitous that we’d have to bring down.
“We can’t lose hope !” though, as Mrs Buttu passes on us at the end of her interview and that I wanted to emphasize with huge respect and gratitude
      Kind regards

    • @nualamartyn4918
      @nualamartyn4918 Месяц назад

@@MetaXhaal Hi there, yes I agree with above, I think there is certainly alot of apathy, people just can't stand to see the on going misery of the Palestinian's and it's easier to look away...... it makes me sad every day because I can't stop thinking and feeling for these unfortunate people , it could just as easily be me and my family but for geography. I think most people are decent and well meaning and are appalled by what is happening in Gaza, the problem is with our governments and those in power, power seems to me to lead to a lack of humanity, they lose touch with what really matters

I agree with Diana that the emphasis is on what the lesser evil is vs how bad the evil is. At the same time I think we must constantly push back against the claim that civilians are killed because they are human shields. So many people buy into that when it's so obvious that hospitals, apartment blocks, tents, and even children walking on the roads are deliberately killed.

I'm not Americn, but here in Australia except for boarder problems our issues are the same. I feared if Trump won it would be worse for Palestinians, all he said & done suggested he would shut down protests & annex Palestinian territory. I couldn't have voted because both parties are evil regarding the genocide. I believe with his contacts he is more interested in helping Israel expand as his legacy, after all it's America's war. I'm heartbroken 💔 & so ashamed of living under a Western government. It's so difficult to know our efforts to support Palestinian rights has not helped stop anything, I see the best & worst of humanity & so much damage has been done to Israelis image they will be punished & shunned by people around the world like Germans were after WW11, I can't feel sorry for them because they haven't cared for the innocent lives of those their government & army kills & I can't see them ever being safe even if governments around them want good relations for peace, the people won't forget all the slaughter.

"Genocide is ok"? No. That's not our position. We don't say that genocide is ok. What we say is: given that our political system offers us only two choices for president, both of whom are genocidal, we have no choice but to choose the less genocidal of the two. That's far different from saying that "genocide is ok". Genocide is inevitable under our political system. To acknowledge that fact is not to say that genocide is ok. (It does, however, mean that our political system is *not* ok.)

The United States, fallen in esteem due to senseless wars, touted Israel as proof of noble cause when reasonable reflection would have cautioned against trusting survivors of something terribly deranged. Gellhorn, who saw Dachau liberated, said, "their eyes will never be the same."

Thanks for this very important program. I will continue to Pray for the Palestinians. Know, that in part, Kamala Harris, lost the 2024 Election, because she did not set apart herself, from President Biden, on this issue. And, Americans are alarmed about these War Crimes. Do not give up - FAITH. Genocide has a High cost! -------- Psalms 27 & 37 & 91.

Most of the podcasts that I watch preferred Trump over Harris, thinking he was the lessor of the two evils..... Looks like everybody was wrong, things are going to get even worse.

Mankind is leaving puberty and starting to enter adulthood. Where they will need to solve problems and accept punishment. I feel many people will not be able to make the step and some sort of war or conflict will sort out the sheep from the goats

Is the Israeli Shekel sovereign money in Gaza and the West Bank today? Are Palestinians permitted to spend their shekels anywhere in Israel?
Colonialism is rooted in the ideology of sovereignty. Colonial titles are used by 'special' bankers to hold paper titles on people as property.
Be careful how you allow colonial officers to addresses you. When you accepted being addressed by colonial title they consider you as their property - as their chattel. Be careful in saying that you come from a sovereign state. Honour your parents instead.
Write, MONOPOLY = SLAVERY, or GAZA GENOCIDE, on your monopoly money. Spend or auction your newspaper money anywhere that supports genocide or wherever the forced separation of people from markets is still a sin.
    End Global Apartheid
