Dude, I watched a half dozen videos on something similar to this. All bad tuts. This video is spot on. Incredible instructor. Thanks, sir. Video is spot on.
I really love your tutorials but if I may comment on one thing is that you often choose images that are very susceptible to the technique you are going to apply and that is great because it really shows the maximum you can achieve with the certain technique. But for me personally ( and maybe many others) it would be incredibly interesting to see how you would apply certain techniques to images that are not suitable at all! I use photoshop for compositing futuristic and cyberpunk inspired pieces using slices and pieces of images that are of mediocre quality is a huge part of it . Often after watching yours and many other tutorials I try to apply the techniques and fail miserably. I've been working with photoshop for many years but I still can't get many of the techniques to work. Because I am not using high res perfectly lit high-contrast images. I would love to see some tutorials (similair to the how to remove jpeg artifacts video) on simply how to get an image to a place where you can apply these various techniques. Like for example you would take a slightly blurred, poorly lit, poorly coloured flat'ish image and bring it to a level that's at least similar to the image of the runner you started to use in this tutorial. It would be such an immense help. A good example of what I am trying to ask is the cyberpunk color grading tutorial you did some time ago. I analyzed that video and tried to apply the color grading you showed there using camera raw and i couldn't even get close with any of my images because the original image I used was not nearly crispy clean as the one you used. I'm sorry for the long post , I'm a huge fan and I love what you're doing here and any feedback would be greatly appreciated ! All the best!
I am just loving this channel, every video, like this one, is a true gem. That said, and being a long time photoshop user since version 0.7, I just want to emphasize the increments between versions today vs those in the olden days. Many users with basic PSD skills are resistant to change (because there's always more to learn) and every new version is almost new software. PTC (and a few other channels) help you to bridge that gap smoothly. This video might be about the chrome effect, but it is a short tutorial on features (incl. shortcuts, application and options), new and old. Jesus is wisely choosing such cases to demonstrate not only the effect, but also the workflow. Very, very good.
I too have only ever really seen something similar done with Curves, this is a cool method. What is the difference with using Apply Image instead of just duplicating the layer and setting the blend mode to Difference?
Many people have their own unique way of explaining how to use Photoshop and vector-based software, such as CorelDraw and Illustrator. And how to design in these applications, everything is explained well but no one tells how much resolution PPI should be kept for what size of file to print.
Thanks for a cool and an easy step-by-step video, including what type of photos work well for this technique. Do you take requests? I’d love to know how to make this person look like hard plastic too 🙏🏻
great tute. I have a problem with Camera raw filter. I have the latest version of it as I'm using photoshop 2020. My version of Camera Raw Filter didn't have the Luminescence sliders like yours had. How do I adjust the Luminescence value using my version?
You know what? Your amazing your god of photoshop your cool your impresive your very very special i love u so much and your photoshop toutarial bro nice job and nice tricks😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😙
ur soo soo lit sir : before watching video after watching video : tutorial is good i have applied this on 4-5 images , now there;s a tricky part you have to play with blending options , and which suits on your photo thanks btw great tut
Out of all the videos I have watched, I like this video the most but the downside is some of the selections needed to be made are not the same layout in the 2021 version or maybe since I am using a Mac is different. Can you elaborate on this? Yet again I am new to Photoshop.
hi Ramirez ! you do amazing turorial !! It so Great !! i really want to learn that skill !! but my photoshop setting have some problem, in this video(4.14) i cannot find the(Invert )Button , in my photoshop ,it show (negative effect) Can you give me a advice ? thanks !! you are a great teacher!!!
Because Apply Image cannot applied to Smart Object then you can replace Apply Image by using Adjustment Layer Invert with blending mode set to Difference
Hi my friend , thanks for all your usefull tutorials, i am learning each one of them and appreciate you for giving this chance to the others too. i have a question regarding desaturation. I have several layers ( texts and logo and some sparkles created by brush ) put all of these in a group and converted the group for small filters. The purpose is to make a poster with Gold Signs and scriptions, now the Desaturation option is no off ( not working ) . Do you have any suggestion for this ? Thanks in advance.
The video is great as always but I can't help but notice the colors clipping on your shirt. Is this a side effect of the blue/green screen or something to do with the encoder itself ?
Hai. Jesus...basically yur tutorial very detail. But on the part of Luminance details..i can not find the panel in my ps 2022. Any suggestion how to overcome this issue...thanks
How well does this work with real-life faces?. I want to turn the photo of a person into a gold statue. but some details around the eyes are not matching.
I used it on the picture of a person, but the eyes and other face features basically disappeared, there's a way of getting more details instead of deleting them in some areas?
I get all the way to the 6 minute 8 second mark and for some reason photoshop is not allowing me to select hue & saturation, can anyone help me out? i really want to accomplish this gold look!
This is a cool effect, and I enjoyed the tutorial very much, but... why are you doing it destructively? Photoshop has an Invert adjustment layer, and simply changing the blend mode of the adjustment layer to Difference will give the same result. Additionally, instead of opening the dialogue box multiple times, you can just press Ctrl+J to add another instance of the effect. The only reason I can think of that you would do it this way instead is to ensure that the effect is not applied to the inner shadow layer style, but since layer styles can easily be separated from their layers, I can't imagine that justifies doing the whole thing destructively. Is there another advantage I'm not seeing?

Very good video. I watched it 5x.

A❤M❤A❤Z❤I❤N❤G WORK.
A😎M😎A😎Z😎I😎N😎G VIDEO.
Dear Jesus ramirez.
First, thank you for the guidance and sharing.
An eloquent and wonderful explanation of new techniques to discover in Photoshop.
I have been using gradient map (non destructive) to achieve similar results but I think this video technique may be better.
great
Which photoshop is this im still on cs 5.1
Awesome
Because Apply Image cannot applied to Smart Object then you can replace Apply Image by using Adjustment Layer Invert with blending mode set to Difference
Awesome! In cc 2018 "Texture adjustment missing in the 'Camera Raw Filter panel' "
Yes, that feature was introduced in CC2019.
did you ever make a tutorial how to retouch an old scanned photo with really low resolution, so it comes out as a good photo?
What is "Satin" Layer style effect please ??
Hi my friend , thanks for all your usefull tutorials, i am learning each one of them and appreciate you for giving this chance to the others too. i have a question regarding desaturation.

Can you pls tell me you use mouse to edit or use any pen tablet
The video is great as always but I can't help but notice the colors clipping on your shirt. Is this a side effect of the blue/green screen or something to do with the encoder itself ?
Instead of adding an inner shadow you should add an outer glow or an additive inner shadow because thing are more reflective in the borders.
Hai. Jesus...basically yur tutorial very detail. But on the part of Luminance details..i can not find the panel in my ps 2022. Any suggestion how to overcome this issue...thanks

It 's not be better to use gradient map instead of hue/saturation ?

Coool as usual .. but why i hear your name jojo miraze not jesus ramirez😃
Great
Очень познавательный канал!
Interesting, this was the Daily Creative Challenge on Adobe Live on the Tuesday just gone (12th May).
I get all the way to the 6 minute 8 second mark and for some reason photoshop is not allowing me to select hue & saturation, can anyone help me out? i really want to accomplish this gold look!
