Love this video - I've had my Solaris for 4 years and really only learned the embroidery stuff that I use - I have a lot to learn again and I'm now very happy I have this machine. Thanks!
Great video. Rather than feeling pressed by a dealer, Customers really want to see these machines up close before considering a purchase. Thanks again!
Absolutely and OUTSTANDING demo - much better than the one I got the other day from a company rep. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I can hardly wait to get my machine.
very good explanation of the machine. I just bought one without any lessons on it yet. I have never had an embroidery machine. When I saw this, I decided to go for it. However, I did not realize how expensive all the extras cost, like Palette. I want to be able to have the wifi feature and technology and think it should have come with the machine, and I accepted the show floor machine. I shouldn't have to buy the technology of wifi after I have just bought a machine as expensive as the balance on my car! Baby Lock....please realize we don't all have this kind of money to drop; and then be without the technology we have watched on the web. Brad you did a great job in your demonstration.
I love the in depth video exploring the features you liked (Brad). Thank you. Looking forward to seeing more in depth videos on the Solaris-beautiful machine!!!
Very impressive video on an amazing machine. I would highly recommend Baby Lock in terms of quality, value, durability and customer support. I purchased a Baby Lock BL 9 for a friend who never used a sewing machine, and she is impressed with the power and ease of operation. I have a Baby Lock Accord which will be two years old in September, and quite frankly it is more than enough for sewing and embroidery. In fact, other than in the new owners classes, I've never fully used all its capabilities. Someone would have to extremely skilled to even consider a machine that is this expensive. Very few sewists could justify the expense of this machine, even if they could afford it. No doubt you accept trade ins and could provide customers with a Destiny or Unity that offers many advanced features. I'm happy that your store was not damaged by the horrific floods in Ellicott City. That historic town is an absolute treasure with some wonderful shops. Thanks for your very helpful videos!
Thank you for a very informative video. I also really enjoyed the Palette video. If I were to ever buy a new machine, I have Brother Dream 2 right now, I would tend to wait about a year. I consider all the modifications and glitches new products usually have. And also hope specials in pricing will occur as time passes.
Thank you Brad for another awesome video. You always explain so thoroughly and clearly. Really enjoy your Floriani and Babylock instructions and wished I lived closer so I could visit your shop, but I live in Oregon.
I recently purchased the Babylock Aerial sewing/embroidery machine. I guess it is a new machine in 2019, but when will there be videos like the awesome one I just watched on the Solaris? You have a great style and I learned so much, even though it is not my machine. I wish I would have gotten the IQ technology, but I didn't understand everything that came with it......
Love your video. I have been interested in an embroidery machne. I own a Bernina for 20 yrs now. Thinking of this machine Baby Lock Solaris. My Bernina dealer now carries them. I like this machine and the price. Thank you.
Before I have the chance to watch,I wanted to say that I am so happy to see you are back posting videos. I hope you and your store wasn't effected adversely to the weather/flooding I saw occur in your town of Ellicot City some months back.
i really compliment how your channel is not overly masculine. Like some channels are, "oh we're men who sew...everything denim and manly things" as a gimmick.
You just sold me. My husband and I went to see the Solaris today and we also went to see the Brother Luminaire. Thank you for an incredibly informative video. I still don't know the difference between the two machines. Neither vendor would tell us. :(
The button that you push on for needle plate to be remove,,,,,would it be any problem when sewing, like accident run my hand over that button when sewing.,,does it stay in lock position when sewing so it can’t accidentally get it to pop open when sewing?????
Oops i originally answered without realizing which video this is. No, that's not a concern, it stays in place without having to do anything careful with it, as it slides and isn't really a button.
I love your video and your info. I also love your Henry Ford parallel. I’m so very excited to get this machine as an upgrade to my Destiny. However, with that said, and with no relation to sewing, for the love of all that is holy, clip your fingernails...It’s terribly distracting.
Thanks for the video. Destiny II screen has better resolution, colored background, w bolder type so you could see stitch selection. New screen is faded out, blah. Is there a way to change background color of screen?

Great video! Thanks so much for all the information. I do have questions about the Palette (sp?) software. I know you will be able to transfer designs remotely. Is Palette an editing software, a digitizing software, or both? Will it work on a PC, or a MAC, or both (without running parallel on the MAC)? If one has Embroidery Works Advanced with the Air Stitch module, will the remote feature work on the Solaris? Thanks in advance!
Sue Cleek it is editing and digitizing. I don’t believe it works on a Mac without running parallel. Hope I am not too late with this. I just found this video.
I just think it is missing the scanning that other machines offer, and the bobbin would be better on the side, so we did not have to remove the material to change bobbins when we run out of thread.
Can I just say that the stitch projection is pointless as a guide. I if you move the fabric, the projection stays the same place and your stitches will be all over the place.. The projection should be where the fabric edge is so you keep that level. Also the stylus looks very awkward tio use (and likely to get lost). Also, who copied who, Luminere by Brother or Babylock Solaris?
Because of your demos on this machine, I purchased one! It’s quite the learning curve, but an amazing design tool and machine!
Love this video - I've had my Solaris for 4 years and really only learned the embroidery stuff that I use - I have a lot to learn again and I'm now very happy I have this machine. Thanks!

I’m late to the party having just purchased a Solaris Vision, but your video was excellent! Thanks ❤
Brad, I was just telling my husband about your talent for teaching. Thank you for this. YOU ROCK!
I love the in depth video exploring the features you liked (Brad). Thank you. Looking forward to seeing more in depth videos on the Solaris-beautiful machine!!!

Absolutely THE BEST video demo for this machine! Thank you for sharing!
Such an amazing machine! I feel very blessed to have my Ellisimo from 2009! It's a great machine and has never given me any trouble.

Thanks Candi! We were not affected by the flood thankfully.
Happy to hear that Brad!!
Very informative! Thanks so much! Considering purchasing this machine!
i really compliment how your channel is not overly masculine. Like some channels are, "oh we're men who sew...everything denim and manly things" as a gimmick.
Thank you for the wonderful video. I ordered my Solaris a couple of weeks ago and can't wait to get it.
You just sold me. My husband and I went to see the Solaris today and we also went to see the Brother Luminaire. Thank you for an incredibly informative video. I still don't know the difference between the two machines. Neither vendor would tell us. :(
No difference really since Brother makes Baby Lock.
Great Video!! I love, love, love my Baby Lock Destiny!! This one looks amazing as well!!
The button that you push on for needle plate to be remove,,,,,would it be any problem when sewing, like accident run my hand over that button when sewing.,,does it stay in lock position when sewing so it can’t accidentally get it to pop open when sewing?????

This looks fantastic! I got the brother sewing and embroidery machine but this one is so much nicer than mine! Wish i could afford!
Brad, why is it so hard to find out a price on a Babylock machine? So frustrating! Thanks for this tutorial....nice machine.
Have to call your local dealer, we all set our own price.
Thank you Brad. How much is it ?
I love your video and your info. I also love your Henry Ford parallel. I’m so very excited to get this machine as an upgrade to my Destiny.

Thank you! Very interesting. Love the new features.
Thanks for the video. Destiny II screen has better resolution, colored background, w bolder type so you could see stitch selection. New screen is faded out, blah. Is there a way to change background color of screen?

I really need to win the lotto! Awesome machine
Nice to see a new video from you.

Great Demo. Thank you. Looking for more.
great demo. Can't wait for the rest!
here's a suggestion show how to turn the projector on that's what I needed to know
I suggest you watch a tutorial video instead of a sales demonstration then.
When I win the lottery! Beautiful machine.
I just think it is missing the scanning that other machines offer, and the bobbin would be better on the side, so we did not have to remove the material to change bobbins when we run out of thread.
from who should I purchase a baby lock sewing machine?
It is truly amazing... But 15,000 for a sewing machine. And I LOVE sewing machines and everything sewing...BUT....

Brother makes Baby Lock. So only difference is Brother has Disney designs.
