Back then, Converse were made with much better quality but have since gone down in quality. Probably the closest thing you can get to the Chuck's that the pros used to play in would be the All Star 70s

These are quite comfortable, don't know how you can say they're not. You can't compare it to running shoes and what not, but as casual sneakers it's doing the job.

The insole is meant for skateboarding for board feel
the Chuck OG's cushion were really comfortably good and I'm glad I got the chance to try them. I don't know what happened later but I think when Converse sold their company, their succeeding Chucks felt like crap and hard like hell. it does make sense that they would use Lunarlon probably because whoever owns Converse now, didn't get that specific cushion rubber than Converse used with their OGs.

Chuck Taylor’s were made for people that played very gingerly and are light on their feet I wear them and I love them all around

Never had high top chucks but I will try them on and see how it feels for me. I've owned the all black lows and white lows both are the originals.

What if you take out the lunar insert and put a zoom insert
So this is something that needs to be said. Modern sneaker technology; boost, react, hovr. etc, has done absolutely nothing to reduce the rate of foot injuries since the first sneaker was made. Your feet are able to adapt depending on what you wear and use on a daily basis, whether that just be walking or playing basketball. This is why people back then were able to play in chuck taylors, the weapons, etc. This is why people today are able to run miles and miles barefoot. Keep that in mind the next time you see "lifter bros" and other people wear vans and other skate shoes to play basketball.

@@koib3124 That means the poor people their probably have stronger feet and less injury's. I've been researching barefooting a lot and it's pretty amazing how lot of people get rid injuries switching to barefoot, barefoot sneakers, or zero drop sneakers.

In high school I played basketball in chucks, schoolmates would laugh at me for playing in chucks instead of Nikes, Adidas or Under Armour but at the end of the day I’m the one laughing when their expensive shoes get stepped on and ruined by other players while I don’t care if someone steps on my $60 chucks

muff protector you need ankle braces, no shoe will ever lock your foot down as good as an ankle brace.
James Riding i do wear one but my kd7 have a huge sole and foot just roles off the side but i just tryd dunks and the cushin was shit but i didnt fuck my ankle up
muff protector get kobes 8,9 or 11 and wear a brace. Very low to the ground shoe kd7 feels like your walking in platform shoes.
