I wonder how many people have been waiting for a game like this ever since the missions where you fight in space in COD: Ghosts. TBH it's nice to have a space shooter with no generic laser guns in it.
I've been waiting since Shattered Horizon. It was a game from 2009 that had a similar premise to this game, a Realistic Zero-G Multiplayer FPS in space, but it didn't do well and ended up being pulled from Steam. I've been waiting for a proper successor to it for a while.
@@MaxterandKiwiKing I feel in hindsight Shattered Horizons was way ahead of its time. If it had been maybe Expansed-themed and went along with when that was popular, it could have done really well.
@@Blitz2o Maybe, but the first expanse books didn't release until 2012, 3 years after Shattered horizon released and was already dead in the water. The Expanse TV show wasn't even a twinkle in eyes of Syfy execs then. Now, if someone at Amazon had come up with a Shattered Horizon inspired shooter to go along with the Amazon prime re-release, that could've done gangbusters.
This game is incredible, and cheap. Glad I found it, been having an absolute blast and trying my best to turn my buddies onto it also. So far I've got one playing, can't wait til I've convinced enough to have a full squad running lol. The movement system and the setting puts it on another level, great game, well optimized, tons of potential after early access.

All the GSW weapons use caseless ammunition, too bad we can’t figure it out in reality. Besides the G11 there hasn’t been much innovation in cartridges these past few decades.
@@feraligatorade99 I’m aware of the new cartridges for the NGSW for the US and yeah they are a slight step up from what we have. I’m just excited to see something more than just a cartridge that can withstand a little more pressure than usual and just give a boost in muzzle velocity. I want to see coil guns and shit hahaha.
So what I can tell is this, the ADS is a trophy system that will stop incoming grenades and stuff, the MED heals you, its kinda useless for helping teammates, so I guess use it when your hurt. The snapshot spots enemies, I think, and the impulse pushes players away. They really need to implement descriptions into the game
@@colinwhalen2632 yeah it took me a while to realise that you had to spot or lock on targets to use the SWARM, descriptions or mini video guides (like the ones that battlefield has) would be really helpful
Well i'm a very much fan of both of these tacticool games but i've been following this project since the alpha came out and i fucking love how unique this game is in a huge variety of concepts, not every game that has guns and tacticool reloads makes think specifically and only about cod.
The creativity and animations are incredible, but the sounds are pretty awful. It sounds like that all of the guns can't make up their mind on how fast they want to fire, a problem that it shares with games like PUBG, Rust, World War III, and Operation: Harsh Doorstop. The issue with fire rate inconsistency is especially amplified with the GSW-SMG.

that animation is so nice
Its a little stiff at times, but the creativity and theme is out of this world.
I see what you did there
Literally
The dedication is unreal, going to space to record these sounds must have been a great experience.
Gotta love how most of these are high-tec futuristic designs and then there are space AK, Dragunov, Stechkin and Mosin (!)
Considering how often Russian military budgets are, let's say 'lost in the weeds', it wouldn't be too surprising
M53 is probably a reference to Type-53, which is the Chinese carbine version of Mosin.

i've never seen an fps game that holds a bolt-action rifle like that before 2:41

i think it kinda makes sense here, since i imagine you don't really need to hold the front end in zero-gravity
