Without a doubt, the existentialist and technocratic lyrics, the riffs, the way of playing the drums, the perfect combination of different genres including some outside the metal scene, the different voice variations. A true hybrid.
I would dare to say that it is much better than Fear Factory and Ministry, which are precursors of industrial metal.

heh, i happened to be listening to them when i logged in and saw this was posted.
this would be considered cyber metal, a sub-genre of industrial. industrial generally shys away from solos, btw, so thats partly why there wasnt one.
if you like this, then i think youll also really like mechina, who i think ive mentioned a few times. whereas sybreed are sorta fear factory meets meshuggah as someone mentioned, mechina are more fear factory meets nightwish, but with even more djenty guitars. also a LOT going on in their music. i strongly recommend checking out either starscape or impact proxy.

Sybreed is my favourite band. The only downside of them is that they added so much "sound" to their songs that you can't really appreciate it without some good quality headphones/speaker. If you listen to it with the wrong device it's so messy and sounds like noise, while in reality there are so many notes and different instruments/synths you can get lost in it!

Talking about Patreon: did Geebz ever do a The Omnific track on patreon? They are the perfect band for his bass obsession :D

No. F'ing. Way. Bungle, Beyond Creation, now Sybreed? My man Geebz. I know you're not getting a ton of requests for some of these amazing bands you review. I appreciate your willingness to take chances on stuff, and help the artists get some much deserved recognition.

there is a band from a currently controversial country that is very similar to sybreed, the russian cyber metal band illidiance. illidiance started as a black metal band but it evolved into more melodic death metal compositions which then continued to evolve into the much more synth heavy cyber metal with their latest releases. personal favourite illidance song is boiling point
