Hey everyone, I went through and wrote out timestamps for all of the steps to make it easier to follow along, hope it helps: 0:00 - X - Intro 0:30 - 1 - Setting up the project 2:00 - 2 - Installing playmaker: assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/visual-scripting/playmaker-368 3:23 - 3 - Setting up the scenes 4:59 - 4 - Setting up the canvas 7:29 - 5 - Adding a panel 8:09 - 6 - Adding Buttons 9:29 - 7 - Vertical Layout Groups (Papa bless) 10:40 - 8 - Adding even more buttons 12:48 - 9 - Having a quick test 13:09 - 10 - Adding logic to the play button 17:30 - 11 - Adding our scenes to the build 18:10 - 12 - Bit more logic for the play button 19:40 - 13 - Testing the play button 19:55 - 14 - Nailed it. Dunno if you guys gives a damn but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch all of the latest movies on KaldroStream. Have been streaming with my gf recently xD
Bloody fantastic! Thank you for this very clear and concise intro to playmaker which can be a bit daunting. I feel much more comfortable delving into this now.
Your pacing and clear, thorough explanations make this a fantastic tutorial--especially for beginners. If you developed a course with more of these, I'm not sure what I wouldn't pay for it! Thanks OliverAge24
Thanks a bunch, my dude. You kept things nice an concise, and you did a great job explaining why you did what you did. I can't stand tutorials that just go: "Okay, now do A, then do B, then do C, and now we're done"! -- Adding context to what you're doing is massively helpful for the learning process.
I'd love to see more~!! I recently picked Playmaker up from Humble Bundle, and I'm thinking that there might be a little boom in interest on it as the sale continues! You might want to take advantage of that popularity before the sale ends. Ahahaa
Your videos have the right balance between detail and (quick enough) practicality. Now I know many things more and can memorize them well due to your explanation skills. :) Thanks
First of all, thank you for this helpful Tutorial! I just grabbed Unity and PlayMaker and I must say you Sir, explain things VERY WELL, you didn't skip a single step which is very appreciated for noobs such as myself who are very new to Unity in general. Will you make more PlayMaker tutorials like this? here is an idea: Button to create an object on the canvas, and using the mouse be able to tweak it: drag and drop around the screen, rotate, resize (not in editor, but in actual game) maybe even more advanced actions such as cloning instances of the object and deleting selected instances? I did something similar in Construct 3 but it was incredibly simple and fast because of the built-in behaviors, now I'm curious about doing this in Unity but I still have much more to learn (yes I experiment things by myself) but such thing could be very helpful for anyone new to PlayMaker as well). * Sorry about my bad English and please keep up the good work! :)
thank you for the great tutorial!! would you know how to use playmaker for checking if an answer that a player types in a box in a riddle game is correct? thank you in advance!
I only had one problem with the star button and it was you need to put the name of the level for it to work so you have to go off cause a bit but nonetheless definitely watch this video if you wont to make a menu
im clicking on plane nothing happening. even when i hover over nothing idk why idk it not even firing when i click idk nothing is blocking it idk why need help
And bytheway why you stopped uploading videos on playmaker. This video uploaded on 11th jan. I saw your playlist only one video available. I wish if you upload more video on playmaker.
Hi used it and really it works and very helpful. Can u make a video on this again with random selected scenes? I have Frost UI you can check it on assest store. there are three type of Match "Deathmatch" "Conquest" "Survival" every match has multiple scenes. I have created some scenes. what i want is, from a single match if i clicked search for a match it should play a random or best match depend on player amount. I used all the possible way to doing this but it's not working. I got error multiple times. just install frost and see what I want to say if possible than quickly make a video on this

Love your tutorial style. Very easy to follow.
