A rainy headline gig on the Friday at the annual 3-day Heitere Open Air in front of about 30,000 people and Swiss TV cameras.
Two days before this, we'd flown 1,600km from Cologne via Nuremberg to Brindisi, to do a festival in Lecce, which due to a sudden unexpected August rainstorm was a washout, as no-one had thought about covering the stage. We flew to Milan the next day and picked up our tour bus to drive to Switzerland, arriving early morning, around another 1,000km. After this show we set off in the wee hours in the bus, headed for Budapest, yet another 1,000km, where we were had the evening off and were playing the huge Sziget Festival the next day. Just another festival weekend. We left for Cologne after the show, another 1,000km, making around 4,600km in 4 days...
