She's so cute , how could you deny her ? I did on my current playthrough chose someone Else than tali (Jack) , and she is pretty close to her , but tali will always be on top
@@gabematthews4532i mean we can all Agree about Koris's plan for peace but sadly it is Paragon but you need to think that there is a War between Quarians and Geth and they are Synthetic anyways, only Legion's Survival is Important to Quarian's Future. Legion and EDI are the only Synthetic that have a Soul while Reapers are Controlling the Geth, if you remember that Synthetics are easily to be controlled so Destroying them will help Quarians win the War.
One thing I noticed with ME romances is that consistency is key. Tali and Garrus were there by your side the entire series so it's a no-brainer they both made God-Tier. Loyalty goes a long way folks
The only issue I have with the the ME2 romance options (like Tali and Garrus) is all the extra work you have to do in order to get to them, and without going the cheating on ME1 romance route. If you want to be in a non-cheating romance with someone like Tali or Garrus, you either have to kill Ashley/Kaidan on Virmire (depending on if you are playing as Male or Female Shepard, plus you have to pick them too if you end up in a Liara vs. Ashley/Kaidan confrontation romance cutscene since if you kill them off, the game won't re-route to a Liara romance), or don't talk to Liara or Ashley/Kaidan at all (once again, depending on if you are playing as Male or Female Shepard). I kind of don't like this. And maybe codex completionists won't like it either since you do get codex entries in ME1 for talking to Liara, Ashley, and Kaidan. All this extra work kind of forces me to put Liara and Ashley at the top for romance options (I stick to Male Shepard). Tali, I would place third. Tali would be second since I kind of like her romance subplot slightly more than Ashley, but it's all the extra work you have to do to get to Tali (without cheating on Ashley or Liara) that prevents me from putting Tali above Ashley. Miranda and Jack get tied for both. I can't pick one over the other. Well, I like Jack's subplot more than Miranda's subplot, but once you meet up with Jack in the club in ME3, she disappears for most of the game until you get to the Citadel DLC. Miranda though pops up all throughout ME3. So with the pros and cons of Miranda and Jack, they are tied at 4th.
You could also argue Liara if you played the Shadow Broker DLC, and find out she was the primary cause of them being recovered for the Lazarus Project.
@@grunt7917 What's this scene? Rannoch? Must be because all I remember from there was Tali stabbing a toaster that tried to choke me up before I shot it's light bulb 3 times 😇😁
Tali has huge crush on Shepard from the start i still remember liara said to shepard she won't stop talking about shepard and she's very shy whenever shepard is around. The creators developed character very well in each game, from an outcast to a strong leader a legend. I also agree with you about god tier those 3 deserves it. I hope in next ME we can see quarians face. Oh and if you are going do who's the bestfriend pls place garrus first he's the only stands with MC untill the death
I liked Ashley. The only problem is when I tried to romance her, Tali appeared. Ashley does, however, give her blessing to Shepard and Tali. Tali will always be my ship for maleshep
Thane is God Tier. I was a Kaiden diehard until Garrus and then one day I decided to romance Thane and now there is never a going back... his prayer for you in the death scene that Koliyat leads you through is something you pray for when you know your loved one has to do dark things. It is the purest action in the whole game. He doesn't just care about her in this life, he cares about her in all of them. He was an assassin looking for redemption not just for himself but the galaxy saving love he fought with. ALSO the fact that he says he will be waiting for you on the other side makes me think of the Vikings and Valhalla. I know it's coming but EVERY DAMN TIME he dies I cry, it breaks my heart and I always stab Kai Lang for my Thane.
I agree with you. Thane should be in God tier. I never played the romance with him, but my sister did. For her, it was always Thane or Garrus. Thanes' death scene always hits me in the feels. My number 1 romance is Tali, and it always disappoints me that you can't romance her in ME1. Liara is a somewhat close 2nd. 💜💙
I never played Andromeda... Heard it wasn't too good and that the Reapers weren't in it despite the fact that they have the capacity and longevity to do so... Where do you think they're going to go with this upcoming one?
One small correction on Liara: It is possible for her to die at one specific point! During the assault on the beam in ME3, if your war asset score is as low as it can possibly go (or close to it), any partymember you bring for the final assault on the beam will be killed by a Reaper blast, Liara included... Just like getting every squadmate killed in ME2, it's actually really hard to get this scene to happen. Since ME3 has such a small cast of squadmates, and most of them can die in ME1 and 2, Liara, EDI and James are all guaranteed to survive into the final assasult, to give the player access to both combat, tech and biotic attacks, regardless of what class they play as. But once you protect the missiles and the final combat encounter is finished, no one in your squad is safe anymore!
Jaal is my favorite romance option. He is so sweet. His mom even researched human cakes to bake for Ryder. When he says “stay strong Darling One” my heart is melting.
Tali's last (Paragon) conversation with Shepard, before she's being sent back to the Normandy (due to her injuries): Tali: Don't leave me behind... Shepard: I need you to make it out of here alive, Tali. Get back to Rannoch. Build yourself a home. Tali: I have a home. Come back to me. This scene breaks me every goddamn time, it's heart-wrenching. Tali is indeed the best girl: her character development, her playful and sweet but also very deeply caring adult personality (from ME2 and onwards) is just incredible.
"I have a home, come back to me" is delivered with such emotion that I can picture that scene and it will make me tear up a little every time. For me, Tali is the topmost of top tier romances and characters in not only Mass Effect, but gaming itself. I got a tattoo of her for that reason.
That One line was single-handedly more painfull for me than a Damn Reaper Death Beam, the VA Knocked It out of the park with her character: Every single time She was Distraught, It felt like an emotional gut punch. I also find It extremely amusing how, of all the characters from ME1, Its the literal Child Who ends up becoming the most emotionally mature, MAYBE even more so than Kaidan. Doubly so Considering the fact that, supposedly, Quarians feel emotions more strongly than other species.
@@inserisciunnome try not to cry too much. Imagine if you would have to watch her commiting suicide 😁 And yeah... they also literally THE WEAKEST ones who can't live without suits))))
@@grunt7917 i saw that, actually! Never gone that route myself because i frankly don't care much for the Geth, never understood why people think computers can be alive, but of the companion deaths in 3 its probably my second favourite from a writing standpoint, behind Mordin's. ..And also the One im ALWAYS going to do my best to avoid seeing in One of my Playtroughts, along with Wrex's when the cure Is sabotaged. Also, Those suits are so ridiculously OP That i Wish shep could get One too. They are basically full-body factotums, its insane how many functionalities Those things have
I always did the Tali Romance, just don't see myself doing any other besides maybe Liara every now and then. I actually think that for a series that is as optimistic and hopeful like Mass Effect, especially if you play mostly Paragon, the Tali Romance is the most fitting narratively, not just cause she's the most adorbs or most loyal or even the best dancer, or really any reason that most people tend to give (though they are all valid) but because I think, from a narrative perspective, its the pairing that carries the most amount of subtext to it. Especially if you go with Paragon Shepard, it can be seen as two people who deal with dramas that demand constant selflessness and sacrifice finding something of their own in each other that they have to work for. In fact, it's a pretty high conflict romance when we think about it; not to a point that they are necessarily butting heads over differences of opinion, but because absolutely everything stands in the way of them being together, from their basic duties to their people, to the annoying politics, to the reapers, to the fact that she could potentially die (and it would be Shepard's fault, imagine the tension there), to even basic biology barring them; I mean what would be the point if they cant even have kids together naturally? All this and yet, they solve it one step at a time to a point where Tali eventually says "nothing stands between us now". In fact, the reason, I feel, why people found her Romance dialogue 'so sweet' is for this very reason they may not realize is that it's a result of their conflict resolution, giving a certain satisfaction that few of the other LI's have. So her 'oh-so-sweet' dialogue is sweet because it's much more impactful considering what they had gone through. The fact that Shepard is the only one to see and feel her and that she is immuno-compromised carries metaphorical emphasis of the virtues of consent, empathy and vulnerability, as well as discussion of what truly makes a 'home'. Truly well done, IMO; though deep down I do wish they did more.
I'm a girl and Kaidan really is my favorite romance (not that we girls actually have that many choices..) And the fact that he and Shepard kind of break up in the second game adds a lot of interesting scenes later !
If you weren't aware, the same thing happens with Ashley and a Male Shepard. They go separate ways until ME3. Liara is also the same way. Liara though gets a whole DLC, but she kind of gets benched/shelved until ME3 like Ashley and/or Kaidan.
@@nibbles5007He has way more dialogue and interactions on the Normandy, while Ashley has barely anything to say after you recruit her. She doesn't even have the same writer as she did in the first and second games. You should give Kaiden a chance
I feel like you hit on a very important note when you were talking about when talking about ME2 romances going into ME3. It felt disjointed all around with all the romances, Jacob cheats, Thane dies, Miranda has her own mission, Kelly Chambers could potentially die, Samara won’t go there until ME3. That leaves Garrus and Tali, arguably two of the best all around easily. But the whole thing just felt disjointed the way everyone calls you Cerberus in ME2 when you have no choice, then in ME3 you basically get your OG squad back (and Ash or Kaidan until halfway done) and it’s like “yo I want Grunt not James”. I could be off on this but it’s just how I feel… But did anybody else get the impression that there was suppose to be a bigger choice but they cut it to get it out quicker? Like I am imagining having to choose between Cerberus and the Alliance and your squad make up changing accordingly. Sure some characters go either way, Tali and Garrus are flexible enough to do that as Liara would be too IF Cerberus didn’t try and kill her. But part of me is just picturing one squad with Miranda and Jacob, another squad with Kaidan OR Ashley and I don’t know who else. Would also be cool if you couldn’t win some of the arguments your squad had…like Jack and Miranda feels inconsequential but imagine if they kept the Grunt and Mordin loyalty dialogue in…depending on if you kept the data and if you side with Grunt then he has a change of heart and will fix the genophage BUT if you side with Mordin and destroy the data you get Padok Wiks. Just random thoughts along the way, absolutely hate having such a big dope squad in ME2 and keeping’ all two of them.
That would have been a cool option. I think with me 1 and 2 they gave u the same classes but u had new character then for 3 they had many class redundancies and then just wrote them out. I Feel like that was a mistake, I wanted my big-ass crew who cares if u have some classes more than once.
Thane was already obvious that he was going to die, in ME2 he had already said that he didn't have long to live because of the disease, so it was already expected, and James... I don't think he's as bad as people say, later As you interact with him more, you start to see that he is a good character, the romance with him I don't know because I've never tried it, but the character in general is good
Kaiden really got a great character arc in ME3. Some really potent scenes. I think the recovery of trust and faith in Shepard, and the way Shep suffers guilt over Kaiden. It's very moving. What's really sweet is that even playing a straight male shep, attached to Liars. Kaiden is very tender and still flirts with Shep. It's adorable. I usually play male Shep with Liara.
i disagree vetra deserves god tier for andromeda i been playing mass effect legendary edition and the face thing everyone talks about is stupid everyone in the og games is stone face as much as andromeda there isnt any difference and i played andromeda first so i know how this face thing is so stupid
@@TheGamingZone- sure, but it fits with the engine and the graphics at the time. andromeda's textures look too smooth that their movement (or lack thereof) looks uncanny
Jack would’ve been at the top of more people’s lists if she didn’t become a long distance partner you only see 2-3 times in game not including the citadel dlc.
Yeah. I don't like that once you meet up with her in the club in ME3, she kind of disappears until the Citadel DLC. But if you skip/don't have the Citadel DLC, you don't see her again until Shepard is saying goodbye to all squadmates during the Earth mission. But during the goodbyes, she is just a hologram because she is somewhere else on Earth.
one thing about Ashley is that she was always right, about council not being trustworthy and how the y would sick humanity onto the reapers like a dog onto a bear (they did exactly that in ME3), she was right about not trusting Cerberus, she was right about not trusting Udina in ME1, she was pretty much right all the way through the series, and NO she is not a space racist, distrust is not racism, especially when its well placed and deserved.
Agreed. Recently finished a paragon run and started with Ash romance (didn't rekindle in 2, cause Tali). Often, Ashley acts as the only person around with common sense.
Peebee is my canon romance in Andromeda... Her romance reminds me of Jack's and even a little bit of Tali's how you get to watch her grow as a person and learn to trust people... Also Jack is probably the best written romance in the franchise... To each their own ahkjt being the best or not but the writing is god tier
I too think Thane deserves god tier and maybe Jack does too (I haven't playe Jack romance myself, just seen some youtube vids). My first Shep, Myra, had very tragic love life... Kaidan in ME1, Thane in ME2, and both died in ME3, Thane by Kai Leng, and then Shep shot Kaidan herself... Ouch...
@@grunt7917actually I was curious to see if there was any exclusive content to the recruitment with a Femshep I mean I thought there would be a dialogue option Kind of like with joker where Femshep can say “what about you and me” but I guess BioWare was too busy working on the suicide mission ME2 is definitely my favorite out of the 3 games (not counting andromeda)
Yeah I’m with you on that one. Tali always takes the cake for me too. I’m currently romancing Jack for the first time so I’m looking forward to seeing what that holds. Your god tier is spot on and I wouldn’t change it, while I’ve never played femshep ( just because I like to pretend I’m shephard when I’m playing and I’m a guy) Garrus is by far the best bro a guy could ask for. Disappointed none of the krogans aren’t on here, plus I never knew they weren’t romanceable.
I cried for Liara, chosed the synthesis... I knew I won't make it. I started a new playtrough immediately to shoot for Tali and I will do the perfect destroy so I can life and fulfill my promise.
So you're gonna commit genocide on a race that was practically just given true senses of self ... a race that Tali is closely connected to after Legion?
Reyes for me GOOD tier I really enjoyReyes romance even though it has lack of scenes later in the game. I loved the idea of like " mysterious bad guy" type of romance and it actually turned out sweet romance. Love that guy and romance him everytime I play MEA
Jack is my 2nd favourite after Liara just because she doesn’t join you in ME3 and, like with Miranda, you don’t get a proper goodbye with her(damn holograms)
Tali grew on me for best girl when I sat back and realized she is only one of the two companions(not including Joker and Dr. Chocolates) that wrap up whatever they are doing and say "I'm here for you, Shep!". Then you add on how adorable she is among other aspects... *sterilized and immuno-boosted chef kiss*
Agreed, Team Dextro for the win! Garrus my right hand man/best friend, and Tali my bondmate/partner. I take them on just about every mission unless forced not to.
Very good tier and I like that you didn't dismiss Kaidan. People usually don't care about him and think he's bad but they simply never get to know him and only Ashley.
Me: Watches video while playing ME2 Blah blah Yeoman can feed your fish… Me: That’s a terrible romance option why would you need someone to feed your fis- OH FUCK!
Garrus the man who has all the calibrations, but then you leave him alone as a bro and he gets together with Tali in ME3 and we get the reach and flexibility discussion.
Favorite romances are tali, vetra and jack I didn’t really click or care for any others (NO I DON’T HATE THE OTHER ROMANCE OPTIONS) I just couldn’t connect with them honestly tho vetra is SO UNDERRATED she doesn’t get anywhere near enough attention bro
@@kcj6236 Both her and Cortez are better romances than the Virmire Survivor, Bioware took their time to listen to criticism and make an interesting normal human romance. I'm talking about people without powers, Jack is arguably the best romance in the whole trilogy to me.
I would give her a chance, but I don't like that you have to wait all the way until ME3 and I don't really have the patience for that. Then I prefer to play as Male Shepard (Traynor is Female Shepard only). I'm trying a Female Shepard playthrough for the first time (although I've been playing the trilogy since the early 2010's), and I'm not liking it. I went the "safe" route too with my Female Shepard and did the Liara romance, but with not liking Female Shepard and having a lot of issues with Female Shepard, I don't think I'll do another Female Shepard playthrough and experience Traynor's romance.
Geez, what a brave tier list. Cross-trilogy squadmates in the upper bracket, every other squadmate shoved in the same tier below, minor characters and Andromeda characters below them and all the easy victims at the bottom. What a brave and useful goddamn ranking. Have you ever had an opinion that hasn't been sanctioned and accepted beforehand by a million nerds on the internet?
I found peebee and riders interactions is like the perfect relationship of the super jokey fun out going romance especially when she originally wants it to be a fling until she realizes how much she cares for Ryder
Kelly Chambers, she's obsessed with Shepard, she'll kill herself if Shep won't forgive her for spying on him for Cerberus. That's devotion. She's my go to girl. She will doink Shep in a storage container in front of refugees. I am disappointed Bioware didn't have a more detailed romance with her.
My wife got pissed at me when I joked about not picking Tali, and she has never played the games or even seen most of the story, just the bits she watched me play.
HOLY DAMN DUDE i recently played/finished mass effect for the first time and literally had my first romance with liara and then tali. It's amazing that I made those choices out of simple curiosity and they ended up being the best choices of my life hahaha. I remember wondering if I made the right choice and how the other romances could have been. And of course we choose the same girlfriends hahaha
We don't need to talk about Garrus, Liara (and Tali) being in GOD tier. But I would put Peebee easily in GOOD tier. Because of the things you have said. I love her attitude at the start. Being here, done that...always on the run. But after Ryder (in my case FemRyder) and her are getting closer, she turns completely to a bond partner. I love their romance scene, and not because of the naked bodies 😉 No, I love that Peebee is such a snippy badass in the field, but in fact she is completely unsure about herself. This is why she chases the adventures to cover this lack of social confidence. With Liara you get a feeling for the melding thing and how asari "love" different then human. But with Peebee it felt more intimate, more special due to the fact that she is so unsure about her feelings. Seeing her melding with FemRyder and her blackened eyes was a thing I adored. For me it felt like I was witnessing something special. As if she denied all her asari origins, until she met Ryder. Because she doesn't behave like a typical asari. I understand the flaws of ME Andromeda, but not everything was as bad as it was said in the media/comments. Too bad that the romance with Peebee feels rushed. But I like her and she is easily my companion on every mission. Fell for her right at the start after seeing her little smirk. 😅 My top 3: 1 - Liara (I don't need to say much about her. It is already that what every other Liara lover already said. She and her character is complete perfection) 1 Garrus (god, I love their "goodbye" scene in London...he has by far the most suffering character background) - Both are top 1. Both have their unique reasons to be the winner. But I cannot AND WON'T decide. 😂 3 - Peebee I only play FemShep and FemRyder until now, so I never romanced Tali. For me she feels like a little sister to protect, and not like a romance option. But of course I can understand the crushes people have for her. And also the cute dialect (as well as Suvis dreamy dialect 😂)
I find it interesting how you mention Tali's voice actress being so good, because what's intriguing is that Ash Sroka (Tali's VA) kinda dipped from the acting/voice acting industry after ME3 outside of a very few and far between small-time gigs (and a tiny cameo in ME: Andromeda). Since ME3 in 2012 she has had only _six_ credits to her name, one of which was playing as _literally_ herself in the movie "Our Almost Completely True Love Story". For someone who very clearly proved herself in a major supporting role in one of the largest and most successful video game franchises of the late 2000s/early 2010s, I always found it weird how Ash Sroka just... disappeared from the limelight. She could have continued a very successful career, much like Brandon Keener (Garrus's VA) who ended up having his voice pop up _everywhere_ after ME3 (such as in Fallout 4, where he voices dozens of NPCs). Instead, she seemed to choose not to for one reason or another. But this kinda has the side effect of making Tali as a character even more special, because that's _her_ voice. No other character from any other well-known games, shows, or movies has her voice, and I don't think any other major character from any other big-time video game or animation can make such a claim about their VA being unique. Ash Sroka undeniably cemented herself as Tali's unique voice, and that's something worth mentioning.
My first playthrough I started as a Soldier and romanced Liara. Carried it over to ME2 before Shadow Broker was released and was disappointed her character didn't get closure; thus prompting me to go with Tali'Zorah considering she was a loyal squadmate from ME1 alongside Garrus. I was a hardcore Talimancer at that moment and rebuffed a potential rekindling of the romance with Liara when Shadow Broker did release; importing the Talimance into ME3. On subsequent playthroughs I stuck with Tali; but Liara's character development in Shadow Broker and ME3 started to wear on me and I eventually went back to having Liara as my primary romance (Coincidentally, I started to enjoy Vanguard and never went back). Tali will always have a special place as one of the best characters for me (alongside Wrex, Garrus, etc), but Liara went through hell and back to revive Shepard. Can't beat that in my opinion. Plus Garrus and Tali get together in ME3; was nice to see one of my best bros get love in the end.
Ashley is my favorite romance and squad member in the game. her character development and depth is by far so much deeper than anyone else in the game, except maybe Jack.
Agreed. I don't think a lot of people notice just how much Ashely changes. Yes, she was definitely a xenophobe in the first game, and I didn't like her. But seeing how she changes in the third game is very rewarding.
With Samantha tray traynor, there's a scene in the DLC where you fight your clone and Samantha gets kicked off the Normandy, if you've already romance her she flips out at you but you can silence her with a kiss.
1. Jack by far. (Like God tier ++) 2. Samantha 3. Fling with Diana (as can do while romancing others) 4. Miranda 5. Others (for the see the story only)
I agree on tali being best because 1. She is adorable 2. She is probably the romance that gets the most screen time because Ashley basically breaks up with you in mass effect 2 (I romanced ash first) and Liara although you can spend a little time in mass effect 2 with her she doesn’t stay by your side too much 3. Liara always struck me as creepy I mean you have to admit her face looks like a wad of wrinkled clay and she doesn’t show very much emotion not to mention that she is very nosy at abusing her shadow broker leads 4. At least we know that Tali is a woman I mean Liara doesn’t have a gender
The one thing these romance tier lists are always missing is the most important option of all... to have NO romance. Nothing is more satisfying to me in games like this than to break the heart of everyone who tries to seduce me. Even when I do "paragon / light side / virtue" playthroughs, I just love to piss in the face of anyone who tries to romance me and tell them they are not worthy of licking my ass crack clean after I take a shit. I admit this is harder to do with really sweet characters (Merrill in DA2 for instance, or Tali) but telling Liara to fuck off is very satisfying to me and of course it's REALLY satisfying to tell the really bad romance options (Jacob the Cheater, Kaidan the Creepy Stalker, Ashley the Religious Fanatic, James the Manslut etc) to drink some bleach or jump out of the airlock. If you really want to have a romance in ME though, obviously those who are loyal to you throughout all 3 games are the "god tier", as in Garrus and Tali. Liara is a nice option in ME1, but isn't worth pursuing afterwards so I'd switch to either Garrus or Tali in ME2 and ME3. Thane is the sad but beautiful option that brings a tear to your eyes and Jack is what I would call the redemption option because she really shows a soft side you'll otherwise never see when you romance her. As for ME: Andromeda, I always went with Jaal because he's just really sweet. I romanced some of the others too but those romances were all very unsatisfying in my opinion and don't really seem to go anywhere, like they are just flings and not really a romance at all.
26:41 Now Imma let you finish, MrHulthen, but Thane has one of the best romance arches of all time. Sorry, couldn't resist. When it comes to FemShep romances for me It goes Thane, Garrus, Liara, Traynor in that order. Don't get me wrong both Garrus and Liara are good, but when it comes to chemistry between them I see them as such. Garrus has her back from ME 1 and is ride or die all day, but his romance stems from what could be seen as a half joke, half serious depending on how he answered and it goes from there. Liara at first seems more into the fact Shepard touched Prothean tech and then once she learns about who Shepard is she seems to develop an actual attraction to her. However, Thane is number one simply because you have to get to know him quite well before things happen. It feels more realist to me especially once he realizes why there's a similarity between her and Irikah. This is my opinion though and you're entitled to your own opinion.
Jaal is the best thing about Andromeda and one of the best romances in the whole series hey hes no liara, garrus, thane or my fav kaidan but hes a solid 5 for me
I know I’m late but ‘Some weird Asari’ is Keri the reporter, if I remember correctly you can have a fling/romance her even while in another romance (male Ryder) I recently got mass effect LE (my first ME game was andromeda) and tali is my favorite it’s a shame we weren’t able to romance her in the first game, I went with liara and then tali for the next 2. I swear if we don’t get tali in the next game I’m going to march on Jerusalem
Thane - God tier, the prayer for the wicked gets me every time Peebee - Good tier, I loved the NSA scene in the pod, and it was so cute when she fell for Ryder and decided she wanted strings after all Cora - Good tier, I liked her character development where she goes from being quietly envious to realizing she doesn't really want to be in charge, and I like her love of plants Reyes - Mid tier, great voice acting, he's such a great rogue, I really don't feel bad being betrayed by him Avela Kjar - Bad tier, sorry, this just felt like a joke addition like Diana Allers, it's not fleshed out enough Keri - Jacob tier, I like the idea of someone you can cheat with, but the implementation made you just feel like shit Javik - Jacob tier, when he shows up in your bed, it's a bad joke
I never actually completed Kaidan's romance. I romance him in ME1 and either kill him on Vermire, for rp purposes, or break up with him in ME3 because Garrus exists. Lol. Never played as BroShep so I have also never done any of the female romances for him. I have romanced Liara in ME1 but, again short-lived because Garrus.
3:35 she should've joined the Normandy and been a companion. It wouldn't have been forced at all. In fact there's no apparent reason for her not coming along. I doubt she wanted to retire, and she could've searched for Oriana with Shepherd
I romanced Jacob once and I don’t see it that he cheated. I don’t recall them having a commitment to each other. Femshep harassed Jacob the entire game till he finally succumbed and slept with her. It felt like a one night stand and that’s what I got out of it when I played. So when he moved on, it never much felt like a betrayal to me. It’s not like I was crying in my pillow or anything. Their whole “romance” was nothing but a hook up. Well, that’s how I saw it anyway.
Ashley got a place above tali for me as she was my first Romance, and the first character that i actually wanted to learn more(Mainly the Alliance part, wish they kinda did more as a commander instead of immediately becoming a Spectre
I feel like they did Kelly dirty with that face reboot in Legendary edition. She was cute enough already. I think your ratings are pretty spot on for the same reasons that I have. No major disagreements, other than Ashley being Airlock tier. Jacob is ignore. Ashley is gleefully incinerate.
Liara can actually die in Mass Effect 3! if you finish the game with very little assets and she joins you in the charge towards the beam, she'll be vaporized by the lazer shot. 😭
I leave Ashley on Virmire because of what they did to her in ME3. I’d rather remember her as someone who gave her life to protect the nuke than the babed-up, shiny pantsuit meh they turned her into (like, why isn’t she in uniform? Seriously)
Oh i do like videos like this. I like seeing whay opinions differ from mines! I akways romance Kaidan with John (the 3 year pining sends me), I romance Gil or Jaal with Scott...i never play as femshep but when I play as Sara, I romance Peebee! What you said about Peebee turning around and falling for Ryder is similar to Zevran in Origins. He is the player, sleeps around....and yet he falls hard and fast for the Warden and the culmination of his romance with the earring and basically a proposal is so amazing. That and him and the warden are still together a decade later in Inquisition
I love Ashley as a character. She's really fleshed out. She's also not xenophobic or racist. She's pragmatic. Ashley works just fine with alien squadmates and supports them. Why does she automatically have to trust anyone and everyone in order to avoid the "raCiSt" label? By the "sHe's raCiSt" logic then I guess Tutians are, too, since they literally declared war on humanity as soon as they saw them. It's so utterly ridiculous.
one thing that peeved me in the trilogy is that there is NO 100% consistant romance, closest would be liara, but ONLY if you do the shadow broker dlc, and hell im not even sure if it counts in terms of achievements/trophy (for those that care for those)
Kaidan is best romance for either male or female Shep, genuine all the way through. Garrus puppy dog, insecure attitude is grating, and the dance scene is so Disney princess. Ashley is always Ash on Virmire. Thane is really sweet and supportive, with a bitter sweet ending. I romanced Jacob once, (I deleted that Shepard, as she is forever tainted). I will never touch Liara that creepy stalker, Bioware's pet. The rest are just good friends, except for Allers, she can take a one way trip out the airlock. Will never touch Andromeda with a ten foot pole.

Yep, this is the reason they're my top 2 choices.
There wouldn’t even be a Shepard in ME 2 and 3 without Liara, so
The only issue I have with the the ME2 romance options (like Tali and Garrus) is all the extra work you have to do in order to get to them, and without going the cheating on ME1 romance route.
Can't agree more!

Totally agree. Garrus and Liara are both solid, but Thane is the G.O.A.T. of FemShep romances.
Yes, in the end, everyone can die in the final

Tali's last (Paragon) conversation with Shepard, before she's being sent back to the Normandy (due to her injuries):
Tali: Don't leave me behind...

I was disappointed that I wasn't on the list, Commander. This Cycle is too primitive to handle my Prothean cheeks.
Sorry about that! I didn't realize you weren't on the list until the end :(
I always did the Tali Romance, just don't see myself doing any other besides maybe Liara every now and then.
I'm a girl and Kaidan really is my favorite romance (not that we girls actually have that many choices..)
And the fact that he and Shepard kind of break up in the second game adds a lot of interesting scenes later !
If you weren't aware, the same thing happens with Ashley and a Male Shepard. They go separate ways until ME3. Liara is also the same way. Liara though gets a whole DLC, but she kind of gets benched/shelved until ME3 like Ashley and/or Kaidan.

THANK YOU for promoting the Kaidan romance! He’s the guy irl who’d be a keeper. Seriously
I could be off on this but it’s just how I feel…
But did anybody else get the impression that there was suppose to be a bigger choice but they cut it to get it out quicker?
I agree man but james is o e of the better characters if he had more than 1 game he would be rated higher in the community and not ad a better jacob
Thane was already obvious that he was going to die, in ME2 he had already said that he didn't have long to live because of the disease, so it was already expected, and James... I don't think he's as bad as people say, later As you interact with him more, you start to see that he is a good character, the romance with him I don't know because I've never tried it, but the character in general is good
Traynor should be god tier, not only is she adorable when she learns that EDI is an AI, but she brought the sonic screwdriver/ Mass Effect toothbrush

My favourite romance Will ALWAYS be ME2's Phalanx heavy pistol
one thing about Ashley is that she was always right, about council not being trustworthy and how the y would sick humanity onto the reapers like a dog onto a bear (they did exactly that in ME3), she was right about not trusting Cerberus, she was right about not trusting Udina in ME1, she was pretty much right all the way through the series, and NO she is not a space racist, distrust is not racism, especially when its well placed and deserved.
Ouch...

Peebee is too underestimated, to my liking. other than that, i would agree on virtually all options
I love their romance scene, and not because of the naked bodies 😉
No, I love that Peebee is such a snippy badass in the field, but in fact she is completely unsure about herself.
My top 3:
1 - Liara (I don't need to say much about her. It is already that what every other Liara lover already said. She and her character is complete perfection)
1 Garrus (god, I love their "goodbye" scene in London...he has by far the most suffering character background)
- Both are top 1. Both have their unique reasons to be the winner. But I cannot AND WON'T decide. 😂
3 - Peebee
I only play FemShep and FemRyder until now, so I never romanced Tali. For me she feels like a little sister to protect, and not like a romance option.
But of course I can understand the crushes people have for her. And also the cute dialect (as well as Suvis dreamy dialect 😂)
Tali, every time you bosh'tet 😂
ME1 none, ME2 Tali, Me3 Tali , Andromeda Vetra for my romance every time , I have done many play throughs and have done them all.
The thing that draws me to Suvi in Andromeda is it's Cait from Fallout 4. That voice mixed with a huge fondness of Cait is what often does it.
@MrHulthen , my man. Clickbaits are unjustified. I was holding out to see where you put Tali, and it’s entirely deserved. Tali best girl.
I just can't not choose Tali. Hands down the best romance arc ever written in the history of games.
Really wish Samantha was a romance option for male shep as well. She'd be my go to human female in the original trilogy.
I usually play Fem-Shep. But on the rare occasions that I do play Male-Shep, I go for Tali all the way.
Female got no great romance choices garrus is bro I got sick wen he try to hit on female i said no I'm be male 😂
I’m glad Mr Hulthen sees how awesome Ashley is some people just throw their brains out and say the dumbest things when it comes to Ashley
I think I’m the only one who sacrificed Kaiden on my first playthrough 😅
@@CherryJuli no, you are not. Didn't even think about it.
If I sacrifice Ashley.... Who am I going to bang?
@@grunt7917 You'll problably bang a glorified toaster.
Finally. The first list that I FULLY agree with. Thank you!!!
We don't talk about jacob and his tier. That's how bad he is
Me I'm going to romance Tali this time, also me automatically goes to Liara every two minutes
Give Tali a shot. I used to be the same way now. I struggle to choose anyone, but Tali
Don't listen to that cultist. ☝🏻
@@grunt7917 🤣
If you can't bring yourself to do it in game, there is like a 90 minute supercut of her entire romance arc on youtube, watch that
@@grunt7917
So how was the noodles?
With Samantha tray traynor, there's a scene in the DLC where you fight your clone and Samantha gets kicked off the Normandy, if you've already romance her she flips out at you but you can silence her with a kiss.
1. Jack by far. (Like God tier ++)
2. Samantha
3. Fling with Diana (as can do while romancing others)
4. Miranda
5. Others (for the see the story only)
I agree on tali being best because
1. She is adorable
2. She is probably the romance that gets the most screen time because Ashley basically breaks up with you in mass effect 2 (I romanced ash first) and Liara although you can spend a little time in mass effect 2 with her she doesn’t stay by your side too much
3. Liara always struck me as creepy I mean you have to admit her face looks like a wad of wrinkled clay and she doesn’t show very much emotion not to mention that she is very nosy at abusing her shadow broker leads
4. At least we know that Tali is a woman I mean Liara doesn’t have a gender
@ what happens exactly because I’ve never romanced her that far?
I just noticed Jacob isn't bad enough for the "Jacob tier"
Thane - God tier, the prayer for the wicked gets me every time
Peebee - Good tier, I loved the NSA scene in the pod, and it was so cute when she fell for Ryder and decided she wanted strings after all
Cora - Good tier, I liked her character development where she goes from being quietly envious to realizing she doesn't really want to be in charge, and I like her love of plants
Reyes - Mid tier, great voice acting, he's such a great rogue, I really don't feel bad being betrayed by him
Avela Kjar - Bad tier, sorry, this just felt like a joke addition like Diana Allers, it's not fleshed out enough
Keri - Jacob tier, I like the idea of someone you can cheat with, but the implementation made you just feel like shit
Javik - Jacob tier, when he shows up in your bed, it's a bad joke
I'm convinced that they added the Javik scene just for the lolz
Finally a respectable thumbnail for one of these tier list
Tali'Zorrah Vas BestGirl caught me off guard Lmao xD
"We're still feeling the effects of Virmire" :p
This is a great video Mr H!
Fun Fact: The Voice Actor For Suvi Is The Same Voice Actor For Cait From Fallout 4
Not putting Peebee in at least Good Tier is a crime.
fun fact kaiden helps alot on biotic missions due to his l2 inplants was surprised on different dialouge he can unlock
Tali. It's *always* Tali. She really is just *best girl* for Mass Effect. God I love her. We all do
Yeah I don’t know why BioWare treated her so badly and hopefully she and the quarians get more respect in the next game
Lovin' the uploads mate!
I love Tali, but she's my little sister, not a love interest. I can see how you could get there, but it is close to impossible for me.
