The X-Files is so funny because in One Son, it looks like the end of the world is inevitable and right around the corner and then... let's go to Florida to chase a water monster! But this ep is a guilty pleasure for sure!
Yeah baby Agua Mala which is Spanish for Bad Water!!! Mulder and Scully are both soaking wet the entire episode!!! Love it and another top 5 for this season!!!!
I like the monster itself in this episode, a tentacled sea monster that can turn in to "water" to lurk. The fresh water criticism I always thought was kind of weak since there are loads and loads of animals that live in salt water and will die if put in fresh water, so that plot point never bothered me. The plot of the episode I understand why a lot of people don't like it however. I think with another plot and setting the episode could have been a lot better, so I feel mixed on this episode.

I just realized this episode is the reason I pronounce octopus as "octo-pooose"
Darin Morgan played the old man/Ralph’s father in the movie A Christmas Story!!!
I think you mean Darren McGavin, the actor.
Darin Morgan is an X-Files writer.
@@zammmerjammer Yes you are correct!!!

Yeah this episode is easily one of the worst. Glad they recast old Arthur Dales, not he was the problem, but the whole story was just crummy
Agua Mala also means Jellyfish in Spanish.
