I'm 58 and I've lived in MN my whole life, and when I was a kid we'd drive down to Texas every year, and I loved Stuckey's You'd see so many of them on I-35 south. They were great! I loved them, such good memories!
I LOVED Chi-Chi's, I miss that place!!!!!!! I love 1/2 price margaritas on Tuesdays. I loved Woolworth lunch counters, my cousin and I spent many a Saturdays in the mall and then went there for lunch.
It should be mentioned that Chi-Chi's still exists... I'm not sure how wide spread the distribution is, but you can still buy Chi-Chi's Salsa (as well as perhaps other products) in the American grocery store. It is still my favorite store brand salsa.
Chi Chi's was the first restaurant my husband and I had dinner when I first moved to Wisconsin in 1999. Nostalgia. And Show Biz Pizza was epic in the 1980s! I had my birthday party there in 1986. The cake was incredible! ❤

We didn't have most of the restaurants in these videos but we did Roy Rogers which I loved. I loved the toppings bar and the fried chicken. All of them are closed in new England.
I am native to Minnesota, and one restaurant that comes to mind is Happy Chef. There is one restaurant still open in Mankato, MN where the chain started. I would go there on long trips with family. I also remember Shakey's and Show Biz Pizza. I have went past Chuck E Cheese Pizzas, but I love the competitor Pizza Ranch hands down. They have excellent fried chicken along with the usual sides like mashed potatoes and gravy, or stuffing and vegetables. The pizza is certainly good too. Old Country Buffet and Shoney's are gone too sadly.
The first picture of the Sandy's was the original restaurant in Kewanee, Illinois. I recall eating there often. They had the best fish & chips (fries). Their corporate headquarters was also located just south of Kewanee.
Yep, Burger Chef was very good! They were the 2nd largest fast-food chain in the USA at one time, behind only McDonald's. They eventually got bought out by Hardees.
My grandma worked at the Woolworth's lunch counter in Cudahy, WI. We'd walked there about once a week for lunch. Their chocolate malts were to die for.
Yeah , I remember that smell walking in to showbiz, smelled like Dirty feet and Ass, Now when I take my Grandkids to Chucky Cheese, Still has that same smell!!! Great job Man, miss the good old days 😊😊😊
First place I ever saw that had Chimichangas. I thought for sure it was a made-up name for a dish they invented. No way could that be an authentic dish. 😀 Guess I was wrong.
The Gino Giant was the best burger ever! They had to use a cardboard ring around it to hold all that goodness inside the wrapper. Great memories from the early 70's.
I remember going into labor by a Velvet Turtle right by our house. We were going to visit my cousins. But ended up going to the hospital…which was in the way. PS… it was a boy and we sent a few weeks later, baby sound asleep in a carrier.
No Sandy's that I remember in New Jersey and Chi-chis's (at least around here NJ) had a health scare/food poisoning. The best Mexican chain was Casa Gallardo (I believe out of St. Louis) but they never quite got in to high gear.
Where I grew up the outdoor shopping mall had a Magic Pan and a Woolworth's but I don't think the Woolworth's had a lunch counter. Then all within a mile, there was a Chi Chi's, Arthur Treacher's, Jack In The Box and Shakey's Pizza/buffet. All gone now, of course. Later on, there was a Bennigan's and a Rocky Rococo's, but those went away too.
Loved Chi-Chi's didn't go but, a couple of times as we were in the OKC vicinity and never went to a Stuckey's but, they were on I-35 going towards OKC.
Showbiz the critters wouldn't let you eat they wanted to show off to much😮Stuckeys is what my mother liked the pwanut brittle snacks ,Roy and Dale visited A&W one time over at Memorial drive Dekalb county Decatur Ga. I saw them in person 😅
i mean yeah, showboat still exists; they bought chuck e cheese in 1984. so i'm too young to have ever been to a showtime, except that chuck e cheese is showtime.

Loved Stuckey's! They were located all over the USA, right off the interstate exits. Their pecan logs were fantastic!

@@gregmason2434The Chi's- Chi's- name is being used by various other companies, for a fee of course.

Doesn't Perkins still exist?
Yes it still exists
Either Ponderosa or Sizzler.
Damn this is making me hungry no restaurants near me except Sonic.
I would bring back Kellys Old Fashion Hamberger's! The Best Shakes Ever!!
I really miss Chi Chi
Chi Chis was the best until they lowered the quality of food. My father made good on their stock.
My old Rocky Horror shadow cast used to eat at Perkin's after our shows.
Perkins is still around, but they aren't nearly as widespread as they used to be. We have a few here in Tennessee, and the food is still VERY good!
I loved the Magic Pan seafood crepes and Chi Chi's fried ice cream. It was lovely. Miss them both
My mom and dad took me and my brother to Showbiz pizza back in the 80’s I thought the animatronics were creepy 😂
Chi -chis was good
I liked Burger Chef growing up.
Yep, Burger Chef was very good! They were the 2nd largest fast-food chain in the USA at one time, behind only McDonald's. They eventually got bought out by Hardees.
I want the old Shakey's back including the piano!
Bring back Lum's!!
Yea Chi-Chis was good. Hot Shoppes was a good cafeteria style restaurant in the mall. Farrell’s was the best of em all
I miss Show-Biz but my poor sister was terrified of Billy Bob Bear!
My grandma worked at the Woolworth's lunch counter in Cudahy, WI. We'd walked there about once a week for lunch. Their chocolate malts were to die for.
I remember Woolworth in the late 80s and a knee-hi kid.
Yeah , I remember that smell walking in to showbiz, smelled like Dirty feet and Ass, Now when I take my Grandkids to Chucky Cheese, Still has that same smell!!!
Great job Man, miss the good old days 😊😊😊
I took my oldest son to showbiz pizza. He was terrified by the "monsters ".
Have you ever heard of "Leaning Tower Of Pizza"? Best EVER!
Thanks for a fantastic video! Great memories of great restaurants!
Chi-Chi's happy hour with strawberry margaritas and oily, salty chips and dipping cheese! THE BEST!!! Also known for the worst service in the world!
First place I ever saw that had Chimichangas. I thought for sure it was a made-up name for a dish they invented. No way could that be an authentic dish. 😀 Guess I was wrong.

I loved King's Food Host!!, not only that, I also worked there😊
I miss Flakey Jake's in Indianapolis. Best steak sandwiches ever!
I didn't see Stwart's Root Beer Drive In.
Does anyone remember Pioneer Chicken?
There's a couple here in Cali. The rest got bought by Popeyes
There use to be a Stuckey's about 20 miles west of where I live. It's now an adult book and movie store.
Is it called Sticky's now? 😀
Interesting, the one on Highway six in Nebraska was a Stuckeys and then it became a strip club. Now it’s closed.
@@fritztheman749 Let me guess- they changed the name to Shakey's?
There is a Chi-Chi’s in Little Rock, AR.
I miss stuckeys
"Gimme a Chimmy!"
I remember these, if only for the fact that I visited many only once....because the food was crap.
I havent got really sick from any of these places food. In the last 10 years only got food poisoning 2 times. Both, were carls jr

Showbiz animals were creepy!
What's creepy about a human soul trapped in an animatronic bear? 😀
