I have the exact same watch - and I love it! I agree the dial is so mesmerizing and the fine details really shine through a variety of ways. I messed up (lost) the pin & collar system when adjusting the bracelet so I was forced to throw the silicone strap on and I love it even more! So comfortable I think I’ll keep it on!!
I just recently picked up the SRPE39J1 Manta Ray King 🤴 Turtle 🐢. I am blown away by how nice this watch is . I have owned the Pepsi Padi Turtle 🐢 now for three years but the King Turtle is a serious upgrade 👍🏻💯
Good video and beautiful watch! I have the King Turtle, save the ocean manta ray edition, also made in Japan. I have loved Turtles since Seiko came out with them in the '70s. I have high end Omegas and Tissots etc. but the Turtle is one of my favourites.
Started falling out of love with mine. Realized that I disliked the bracelet. I guess I was just mesmerized by the dial for so long 😅. Swapped it out for the silicone strap and it’s never been better. Can’t get enough of it 🩵💙🐢
Hi. Really enjoyed this video. Love your photography and how you showed off the watches - they look great! I also really enjoyed the background and history of the Turtle and its predecessors that you provided. Just one suggestion however - your video would be much better if you “ducked” the background music while you are speaking. I found it hard to hear you over the music which was just too loud compared to your voice. By all means use the music when not speaking, but let it fade into the background when you are talking as it is you the viewer wants to hear, and the information you are telling the viewer is why we are watching the video. The music should be very subtle and mainly in the background so the “stars” of the video ( ie yourself and the watches) should be at the forefront. Looking forward to seeing more videos from your channel!
Hey thank you so much. I am glad you enjoyed my video and thank you for the advice! I will be sure to be more careful with the background music levels in my next one.
I have the 57, the dial is amazing and yes Seiko seems to be proud of their ability to misalign the bezel, they seem to revel in this aspect for some reason. I would purchase the watch again, despite the bezel, my watch's accuracy is acceptable. I will keep mine on the strap for now.
@@Roger_Ramjet I do not think you could go wrong either way! The blue of mine is amazing but the turquoise is amazing as well and probably more unique and rare too
The made in japan logo on the “Japan” models is misleading. All versions are made in the same factories in Malaysia the “J” versions are made for the Japan Market thus have a kanji date.
Are you sure about that? I have read that the watches saying “made in Japan” have the majority of their components made and assembled in Japan. Definitely show me where I am wrong if I was mislead. Thank you!
Beautiful watches both old and new. Unfortunately, I too have heard about the various QC issues with Seiko as of late. That bezel is disappointing to say the least. Great review though!
Hey thank you Scott! Yes, Seiko did a great job designing these watches no question. I agree, it is definitely a bummer about the QC as of late. Seiko really needs to get this sorted out since other than that these watches are amazing!
Dude, try not to change day/date when hands are between 9 and 3, you might mess up the watch. Got a manta ray edition, same thing, one of the best looking dials ever.
You sold me on this watch. It makes me laugh that Seiko knock offs from China usually do a better job with alignment at 1/2 the price. Seems to be an issue with the 4R3x movement in general when used in dive style watches. Odd that the NH3x movement seems to have a better QC?
I certainly do, the favourite that I have not managed to find yet, that is the SRPH38.... But out of the ones I own, I particularly love the SRPE07, The 2020 Save the ocean model also called great white shark, it has a blue/faux patina yellow bezel insert and it is just something absolutely stunning. The other one that get a large amount of wrist time is the SRPE03 black waffle, all of the turtles sit on jubilee straps, which I feel is a must-have upgrade.
Great question. Maybe the dial is a little more complicated to make. Or maybe they just figured it looked really pretty so people would pay a bit more.
I keep coming back to this video for those beautiful shots! Great vid!
Thank you! That is so kind of you to say and I am glad I could create such worthy content!

This is such an amazing review, the shots of the watch are breathtaking!!
Thank you so much! Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Great video!
That's one good looking dial. I've got the king turtle Dark Manta. One of my favourites now.
Right on! Yes the King Turtle is quite impressive!
i think the manta is better than this one.

Good to hear you too are enjoying your Turtle!
I’m thinking of choosing this exact Seiko King Turtle SPRH59 as my 30 year anniversary gift from my company. It looks like a beautiful watch.
That would be amazing! It is a beautiful watch and if you choose it I am sure you will really enjoy it!

Glad to hear it!
Excellent video. This channel has some great potential. A helpful tip: the background music should be a little bit less loud.
Thank you very much! Noted. Volume levels will be more carefully considered next time. Thank you!
What?

My 4R is running about + 10 sec a day. My grand seiko running +5 after the service center screwed it up and has never run the same since

Haha, well said. Great to hear you are enjoying it!
Torn between this a the turquoise 57.... Decisions, decisions...

I always forget the time when I look at my watch and feel stupid that i have to look at it again 😂😂😂😂

Just today i bought this watch, amazing video, tks friend, regards from Cancún, México. 🐢🐢
Right on! I have no doubt you will really enjoy it. Great choice!
Great Video! Didn't even know the watch existed.
Hey glad you enjoyed it! Yep, the Turtle is quite a cool watch and has a surprisingly large following

Is the origin king turtle version or modified Bro, Cos these dial so great beauty 💥💥💥

Haha, that is funny. Not sure why Seiko cannot seem to get the bezels to align but I sure hope they fix it!
I have 3 King Turtles, love them
Right on! Do you have a favorite?

I have had mine a month now, and it has gained a grand total of 6 seconds.
Wow that is incredible! Hope you are enjoying it!
Just one question. Why is the second hand lume on the opposite to the pointer?
I prefer the mantha and the sea one of the king turtle. Not crazy about the turle shell dial. But thata just me
Interesting , the turtle shell dial is part of what I like so much about it
Can someone explain on why this model is expensive than the other ceramic turtles?
Great question. Maybe the dial is a little more complicated to make. Or maybe they just figured it looked really pretty so people would pay a bit more.
good content, but annoyingly noisy background music
Thank you and noted. I will be sure to cut that out next time!
