I love The First Avenger so much. And the theme really captured that first superhero the Captain America
You hear this, and without even seeing the film, you know that Captain America is a hero.

Agreed. The movie in general was great, Captain America "the idea" is something everyone can get behind, and the score fit the movie perfectly.

This song fits Cap so well! Nobility, honor, perseverance, and a strong view of what is good and just. It's beautiful, and it's unlike any superhero theme I've ever heard. It kind of sounds like Superman, but Cap isn't a guy who can fly or shoot lasers from his eyes. He's just a kid from Brooklyn....
I can listen to this ALL DAY.
Listening to this music raise my morale and idealism.
We need more true heroes like Cap. I'm tired of these anti-heroes ruling the movies.
I want heroism back, some people say idealism is for silly kids, but cynicism is for losers, cynicism is just the proof we have of how the world is going downhill. We need motivators. People who do the right things. If not in the real world at least in arts! Heroes are models, they don't need to be realistic. And even Cap looks a lot realistic for the reason he is so good for a totally idealistic hero.
Amen to that! Cynicism runs rampant amongst angsty teens, but the real world needs true heroes.

Apparently Silvestri has been confirmed to write the score for Infinity War. I hope that they ask Jackman to help him or co-write it I guess. A lot of people are bashing on the Civil War soundtrack, but I think that it was amazing (Better than the First Avenger soundtrack, and an equal to the Avengers, Iron Man 1 etc.).

Silvestri is brilliant. Brings in everything from patriots to the Wild West to anything John Williams could dream up. Snare drum and fife, and the rhythm is truly that incomparable “Western” , very American sound. (Copland’s work and of those that followed.)

An amazing score for a man who always did what he thought was right.... no compromises.
People who say Captain America is to patriotic need to know history and when Captain America came about and what was going on. The world was at war and we were about to join it.

The idea that he's straight-up patriotic is a bit of a misconception. He's proud to be American, but he's not always proud of what America is or does. Cap does what's right (or what he thinks is right), regardless of what his superiors and/or the American government and/or any secret organizations like SHIELD tell him to do. In the comics he's repeatedly on trial for treason, which is ostensibly unpatriotic. He was given the title "Captain America" by people who didn't really consider the consequences of holding someone as capital-g-Good as Steve Rogers as a national figure in such high esteem. It means that when the SHIELD or the United States do something he sees as wrong, he's going to actively fight against it, and he's going to throw some weight.

@@mastelsa That's what makes him a true American. To fight against tyranny even in our own country is to be American. When we see the government doing something wrong like caging children, we stand up against it. That's what made Captain America, Captain America, not Captain American government.

What I love about Captain America: The First Avenger is that movie's Indiana Jones, 1940's adventure serial style. It made me feel like a bright-eyed kid watching it the first time.
