I think one of the reasons this works so well is that the song feels like it's mocking Jimmy the same way the game seems to. I've always thought there's this omnipresent sense of malice in Mouthwashing, and this gave voice to it in a way I think is so fitting

I like how one of the main instruments is a violin and viola (if I’m hearing that right lol), but even if there similar, they’re different and used for different things (a violin has a E string while a viola has a C string). This reminds me a lot of Jimmy and Curlys relationship. Jimmy wants what curly has but takes a low way to try and get it (like a violas C string) but curlys already at the top (Violins E string).

Ok I don’t know what kind of accent this is specifically is (something vaguely east coast USA? Maybe Jersey? Like a mild taunting old-timey gangster tone) but it’s adding SO much. It’s a lil goofy but carries this subtle “I’m gonna wreck your shit jimmy” energy, especially from that pre-chorus segments. This feels like from the polle monster’s perspective and that RULES with the voice. I can’t get over that voice. It’s low key and casual and malicious and threatening and a lil bit silly and it’s PERFECT. The inflection on hard e sounds (there, well, etc) and the way certain words slur (“the” sounding more like “dah” and “door” being pronounced more like “duh” and generally dropping the r for a more open uh or ah sound) really adds so much personality.

This verse to me is their thoughts, projected to Curly himself as he has no other option but to *finally* listen and see what has been festering in the sickness of the plot "You dont have deniability, so Take Responsibility" Everything comes to light in the end, and there is no passing of blame. There is only guilt, as the ship is stranded and wrecked and nothing can change the sins that got them there, least of all those responsible (Jimmy for his actions and Curly for his lack thereof) Overall great song!!! ❤ Cant wait to see more
