    I would have appreciated a question to summarise applicable ways of applying ketone supplementation with MCT, which forms to avoid and which to take. For everyday people, and for elderly with dementia, alzheimer's.

    NMN and NR trials have only shown increase in blood NAD, which is filtered by the liver, but virtually none (that I know of) muscle NAD, which I think is where it can actually be used by the body. Would love to hear from someone that knows more about this. Dr Stanfield who used to be a big NAD fan has sinc lost all interest in NMN and NR, and basically called it a useless supplement.

    Would APOE4 influence the effectiveness of BHB exogenous ketones and/or MCT?
    I'm aware APOE4 or other genetics factors can influence the body's ability to process saturated fat.

      That's an excellent question. I did a quick literature research and didn't find the answer. I'll try to find out the answer as this is very interesting and relevant point

    When I do intermittent fasting I lose too much muscle. It does work for loosing weight but athletes need to bring up their protein intake.

    • @iaminkaland
      @iaminkaland  Год назад +2

      Thanks for sharing. Also, you're right. MCTs won't take you too far if you're not getting enough protein. But helps to prevent muscle loss if you're, for example, sick etc. I also lose a lot of muscle if I don't eat enough protein

    Are there any suggestions on how a 90% fast food and sugary diet can cause gall bladder stones. I know a child 12 yrs old on this diet that had gall bladder removed and doctors never questioned diet?

    • @iaminkaland
      @iaminkaland  10 месяцев назад +2

      Interesting that doctors never addressed it, whether or not it relates to gall bladder stones. I don't know about the link, but that diet sounds generally the recipe for so many diseases.... especially for a child with a developing brain.

    When I take ketone mono ester on an empty stomach. My blood ketones do not go up at all as measured by keto mojo. Very strange. I think I may be a good case study. I believe my adrenal glands are totally shot. So that might have something to do with it.
